I don’t own Mastermind deck or 52 to 1 but Accumulator deck is so difficult I still haven’t tried using it a year on from reviewing it. There are lots of easier methods to a similar result but none as clean as Accumulator deck.

Yes, I do plan to start introducing “One Year On” reviews or something similar and discuss how reliable props are, reactions etc…it’s been on the to-do list for ages but I have something even better planned for the channel first. Top secret. Only a handful of people know.

That would certainly be an experience. Maybe bear claw rips and blood for camp performances? 😄

I would suggest performing it before calling it terrible as it does get good reactions. That being said, I completely understand why you don’t like it.

After how quickly my VANISH gimmicks by Justin Miller and Ellusionist broke, I won’t buy a gimmicked card from Ellusionist again. £40 for a card that will break after hours/days/weeks. No thank you. Eric didn’t invent Twizted but it’s a clever gimmick with a really nice visual. I’m not spending £40 on it though.

All scenarios can work. It depends entirely how competent the performer is. You’re quite right though, it is a fine line when making other people the butt and takes not only a skilled magician but also actor and comedian all in one to be able to pull it off without appearing creepy.

@@EverythingMagicPro99Agreed that a seasoned performer can pull off most anything, but I still think that just because they can, doesn’t mean they should. Implying that you just placed your underwear on someone’s face, is the exact reason why people are reluctant to assist magicians. Will it get a laugh? Most likely, but at what expense? The laugh can be just as strong if you play it right on your face, and not on a volunteer.

@@EverythingMagicPro99 Because I've been ill for several months, confined mostly to bed, and I've been learning things I've never tried before (solving Rubik's Cube, learning magic tricks, etc). I've just never had the time and now I do. 😄

Oh I agree. I always perform with bikes. Custom playing cards are a simple personal pleasure and I don’t use them to perform magic. I think magic with custom decks looks tacky most of the time.

I find art, jewellery and cars to be overpriced. Fortunately, it’s all subjective. If cards aren’t your thing, of course that’s fine! We all have our own interests. What I will say is - try designing, printing, shipping…a product yourself and you’ll soon realise $15 - $25 is reasonable. Depending on stock, tuck box, printing method etc… You’re right about them not being collectible though. These card brands make out like these decks are super rare and limited. Are they bollocks 😂 It’s all marketing.

Life has been quite tough over the last 5 years. I’ve battled personal problems as well as a long term illness. I look back at my older reviews and they make me a bit sad because I know how unhappy I was when I filmed them. Things are finally improving and hopefully there will be more joy and smiles in my reviews. 🙂

Pretty much 👌 Never heard of Moneymorphosis but will have a look.

I looked at Moneymorphosis - it’s OK at best. Doesn’t work with a lot of the worlds currency now they’re polymer instead of paper. Switch isn’t good enough. Anddddd the trailer is VERY cringe with two made up women acting like they’re looking for money 🥴

I’ve never actually owned Stay Cool. I don’t know how it works. All I know is that I like the effect. I do own Optix, Candyman and I think one other of his releases and they’re all VERY creative and magical products. Never owned PING but I’ve seen it and it’s pretty cool.

Oh, I’ve never seen the craft glue trick! For certain people in the right moment this will really baffle people but for most I think it will be like you say - an alright effect and people probably won’t be doing it in a month just like no one uses Optix or Ping or Candyman or most of Tobias’ effects even though they’re all very clever, fun and magical.

Yes, just like every time a trick by a popular creator releases, it gets ruined quickly 😅 No different from movies or books or video games etc….such is the nature of people on the internet. In a few weeks everyone will have forgotten about this and will be buying the next £60 product. 🤷‍♂️

It would be GREAT to see the gimmicks available individually. Maybe we should all message Tobias/Murphy’s and ask if they’ll do that for us 😃

I really like the TLDR.

Never heard of it but after searching I think the weak reactions in the trailer say it all. There will obviously be some kind of force, equivoque or such. There will likely be a switch of bottles. Maybe it’s clever but from the trailer I wouldn’t buy it.

Yeah! My favourite thing from the project is the melting sharpie. $70 is steep but you have to think they got thousands of rings machined as well as moulds. That’s why I say the price tag is high but only in relation to the current global economy and not necessarily for the effort that’s gone in to the product.

That’s where I think this product shines. A lot of people don’t think. They learn and then they do. Tobias goes above and beyond to teach lots of ideas. Most creators don’t do that. It’s the same as any art form though. Millions of people paint the same way, sculpt the same way, dance the same way etc…that’s why only some artists become renowned. So few put the work in to be original.
