If you plan to go for the “off roading” don’t it’s a national park not an off road park
National Sea Shore but, yeah I guess 🤷🏻♂️
Looks like fun to me!
Love the page man! Like what you are doing.
That’s some good wheeling! Keep it up 👍🏼
Great video. We just did the loop on motorcycles. Agree the rocky downhill should be labeled a Hard section, it's much tougher than it appears in video.
Best footage I've seen of Hard 7 & Hensley Extreme. Was that a little bit of Hard 8 (16 Creeks) in between?
If it was, I would have no idea as Hard 8 I believe is mapped on the Bike route, not the full size vehicle route.
That was awesomely cool. I’d still like to know the details of what happened to all the Taco’s propeller shafts. And all I kept thinking about while watching is how cool it would be to do that someday. I’m probably a few weeks away from taking delivery of a 24’ 4Runner TRD ORP. You earned a sub, and I can’t wait to see where you go next. Thanks! -Chris⛰️🚙
Man, I gotta get down there. That looks like an awesome trail! Great job as always Colin!
Great video well done as always.
Why does it seem that the FJ has a much more difficult time with these trails than the other vehicles? Or is it just on this trip?
Just on this trip! Check out my Coppinger Cove videos, ones already out, the other next Friday. He DOMINATES those obstacles compared to some of us
@Bugout_Overland I was just wondering. Didn't know if it might have been because of the shorter wheel base or perhaps less ground clearance. I'll definitely check out some of your other videos.
You're awesome!! Looks great
Great video. Nice job and looked like a lot of work. How is the wrap material holding up offroading thru tight trails and the normal pinstripes?
So far so good! It already has a couple of blemishes and pinstripes on it but nothing crazy
Great Video....
great video I laughed countless times and learned a lot at the same time.
Hey buddy this is John from Georgia, give me a call when you get a chance. Truck looks great. I have to have surgery on both wrist this summer ,so that is messed up my summer. Give me a call back. Bye the way your hair looks good.
Great video! Do you notice any vibrations with the heim joints, or does it feel similar to the OEM UCAs?
It’s been 8 months and so far they’ve been great and no new vibrations or noises!
Took a few days, but just completed watching your series. Very cool. I enjoyed watching how you navigated the hard parts and got yourselves out of sticky (literally) situations. Thanks!
Maybe leave the Gf inside making brownies
who tf pays $125 for a $10 heat gun wtf??
No one said you HAVE to spend $125 on a heat gun.. it’s dual temp and more importantly, Milwaukee like the rest of my power tools 💀
Crazy how dry it was!!! I have seen so many high water videos.
That’s what we were expecting going out there but it was super dry… more water in Part 2 though!
Great job, the vehickle looks great!
Such a great video! I couldn’t believe it only has 500 views. Keep up the content and diy projects.
Thank you man! Hopefully I’ll get noticed one day 🤣
Nice!! Looks great! I gotta know what you used to mount traction boards to smartcap door?
Thanks! It’s an Expedition Essentials mount!
@@Bugout_Overland nice! am i missing something or did ya drill through the smartcap door to install mount plate?
@@DaveW812 you would be correct! It does unfortunately involve drilling in to it. It’s also super heavy with the mount and boards, so if you’re able to open the door with everything still on, you’d need to upgrade the shocks too.
Looks sick!!! Well done!
Thank you my friend!
I jumped in front of the camera 10,000 times yet didn’t make a cameo appearance 🙄
Yaaaaaay you posted it
You didn’t have to remove sway bar link ends?
No i did not!
Great video. Was this a recent trip as within a few weeks ago?
This was maybe 3 weeks ago i think?
@@Bugout_Overland Thanks for the info. Looking forward to Part 2. I think I will be taking the Red Beast there at some point. Have a lot of trails that are closer to me to hit before I make it that direction.
Almost 1K views within a day! Noice
Most underrated overland channel on UA-cam IMHO. Another great video Colin! I'm definitely ooking forward to the follow-up. Keep up the awesome work! I would love to go on a trip and/or colaborate with you someday.
Thank you man, you have no idea how much that means to me!!!
Very good Job Bro Keep it Up 💯❤👍🙏
Getting ready to do this trail system this weekend/week and your videos have been very helpful! Hoping to knock out all the Hard Sections in Main one over three full days on the trail. Question. Where did you guys camp on the trail? Was there any spots you could just pull off the trail and camp?
Yessir there are spots you can pull off at! There were a couple places where we stayed at a public / private campground, but for the most part there were a lot of places to primitive camp! Do you have the KAT files downloaded from the FB page?
@@Bugout_Overland I found the gpx files online and downloaded them into OnX so I should be good on the route. Hoping to knock out the first 90 miles and Hard 11 on day one, hard one and two on day two, then finish off hard 3 and the remainder of Main One on day three.
Going back for our second trip this June. Can't wait.
Man, this series should have been titled "The Little FJ That Could"! That thing impressed me. I cant bring myself to hit anything even slightly technical because my Armada is my only vehicle. Even with the new lift and 37s, I'd still be outclassed. Maybe one day I can afford a locker and skid pan/sliders so I can feel comfortable pushing it more. Especially since I'm moving to Whitesburg, KY, so this will be my backyard
Fucking excellent video.
The KAT is sick. Probably the best wheeling on the east coast. Callies campground is where you should start .... then its on !!! If you get through Pumpkin Hollow Rd .... youll have a blast, cause it gets better after that . Safe wheeling ✌
Thanks a bunch! I'm setting up my new winch. Just followed along with a Diet Coke, and it came out perfect!
AWESOME! That makes my day to hear that! Glad it could help!
I just did Spaas Creek Rd myself, fun trail and lost part of my bumper lol. Your buddy with the concrete Taco, I'm curious about his bed cover and rack, if you have any info on it. Thanks! Great videos!
They literally made the UCA bolt so you cant remove it. I bent the shit out of that inner fender and still the bolt wouldn't slide through. To bad you didn't show what you did in the DRIVER SIDE engine bay to remove the UCA BOLT. The drivers side is the hardest with also the battery and wiring harness in the way. Not easy at all
I’m gonna replace mine soon. I’m just gonna buy new bolts and hardware from Toyota and cut them with an angle grinder. I’ve watched about 30 videos now on UCA replacement and it sucks to get that driver’s side bolt out.
What lift do you have on your taco?
In this video I’m running a 2” ARB OME lift with medium load leaf springs. But now, I’m running Fox 2.5 performance elite with Deaver stage 3 leaf springs and Accutune Offroad UCAs
What gps do you guys use? I figure you lose cell service so gps is a must? And can you preload off-road trails ?
Yessir GPS is an absolute must when doing this! I use Gaia. What I do to prevent losing signal on my GPS is I download a section of map beforehand so it’s already saved to the app and doesn’t require a signal to navigate.
@@Bugout_Overland awesome thanks. I didn’t know iPhone’s gps worked as long as the route is saved. Awesome just got a Gaia pro account thanks
Pretty epic build! When is your video coming out?
Should be in the next 2 to 3 weeks!
I’d better make a cameo appearance considering how many times I jumped in front of the camera
I live just north of Eglin AFB. I wish you had more time to see how cool Eglin is and there are several great trails in Blackwater Forest
Se rifó el Flaco manejando 👍 saludos bros desde Tijuana México 🤙🏼 venganse a Baja para dar un trip en los Tacos
Nothings up mate ??
Whoa your Spanish is good man. Looks like flaco had a hell of time. Does Luis have an instagram for his truck by any chance?
@lc_roams_
Damn, I’m Mexican American and you speak way better Spanish than I do. Flaco seems like a good dude. Aqui habla un gringo guey, no se” 😂
👍👍🍺
I wish I could speak Spanish like that 😭
