The clone wars last two seasons really create this feeling that... They needed another week or two. They had so many hints. Fives and the control chips. the sith creating the clone army. Dooku himself laying it out at the start of the war. The sabotaged peace negociations. The taitors in the jedi temple.

Man, what an opportunity to create a villian based off Jedi hubris and "ends justify the means." Unforseen consequences of ruining a mind and perhaps transferring some of yours to create something greater than the sum of its parts. They want all this Grey area garbage when they make stories like this, ok, so make consequences from those decisions and make them pay for it.

Dude... do you know how many war crimes the US commits DAILY?! Since WW2, the US has parted ways with the rules of war time and time again, half the reason we won WW2 was because the Axis were still fighting in accordance with the Geneva convention and the Allies were not.
