I used to deliver there 2 times a week on Friday nites,I was the richest kid in high school only worked one nite a week I was 15yrs old and drove dad's truck there twice a week done at sat mornin buy 9:00 am I lived in RI the G w bridge was 7dollars and 50 cents to cross bothe ways ,and there were 5 tolls in conn that were 1dollar a peice both ways ways I ran that run for 3 yrs to hunts point market ,and the fish market on open trailers they used to try to unload u at the red lights going into the markets at night so the cops would tell you not to stop at the lights just run them ,,,and if you didn't have a gun the cops would give you one lol aaaa the good old days and they do have the best food around the markets there ,,,lol one mornin I stopped at the last read light getting on the freeway going home in a cabover KW a guy came over climbed on the bumper and started cleaning the windshield the light turned green and the cop on the corner told me to go or I would get a ticket so I went about 2 miles later I dropped that dude off on 95 north on the side of the road and went home ,,,I never saw him again at the market ,,,,heeey the old days were great 👍

How does that truck ride? I haul alot of oversized to NJ, NYC and New England area in a 96' W9 and its a rough ride out there. My back is usually sore and burning before the days over. I was looking at a pete 386 but the stars didn't align... would still consider one...never had the pleasure of test driving one but the old 379 I drove as a company driver was by far the best riding truck I've ever been in even on rough roads

It's going to take a pro American President. Not the pro Chinese President we have know. You have to manage your money. A lot of drivers jumped in when covid hit and rates were really high. I put back a least 1 year of operating expenses in the bank. Fortunately all my equipment is paid for and my house a car is paid for. Drivers who are versital and can pull multiple types of trailers will survive. Amazon bought a 100,000 EV delivery vans from Rivian to be delivered by 2030. Might something to look into with your flatbed.

I think wanting enough sleep while on the road isn't as wimpy as pouring out your milk because you only have one Oreo to go with it.
