Belt is the wrong way around....belt folds inwards and belt locks in,not clip in..

Shoulder flashes... The lower badge is 8th Army (The Desert Rats), the higher badge is I think a brigade that included a regiment from Hampshire? I think the higher badge is a regimental badge, part of the bigger army.

Action Man HQ is at North Weald he sells the event posters and all cloth badges are in a chest.

The wrappings are short puttees gaiters are a hardened material held on with straps, ie, jungle warfare and sailors ..hope that helps buddy, also doubtful the desert army would use a Thompson drum..took ages to load and liable to jam, and pouches were rectangular...😊

The desert rats were generally eventually all the 8th army really, however my grandad was 7th armoured brigade in North Africa and they were the original desert rats...

As Thomas said you have a Real American Hero, Dusty Gi Joe. 99-2000 issue Joe. The mauser you purchased is more accurate to the real weapon, the Mauser 98 had a internal magazine. The file Mauser you printed has a detachable magazine from what I could see and is not a accurate model. Some one must have created that on a CAD program or maybe it is a scan from 3.75 Joe or Valverse...Awesome pickups and Awesome video Sir!!

I use the wonder web fix to iron on my patches, just ensure you put a thin layer of cloth on top of the badge, works a treat

I use clear double sided tape Cut to fit emblem I just don’t like the glue results that I have tried

Another Awesome video! I envy you folks across the pond, Action Man had such a great range of uniforms and sets. Unlike here in the states where Hasblow( I Know I misspelled, just my opinion of Hasbro) stopped production of Joe in 75. The Enfield rifle is a hard find here in the states, unless you had a 21st British soldier or happen upon one in auction. I own a surplus No4 Mk2 Mfg date 1944 that belonged to my G-ma, very nice rifle and very accurate with the right loads. A very interesting history on Enfields you should take a look. Again, very Awesome video Sir!

Yes I was trained to use a bayonet to get myself put of a minefield before I deployed to Afghan. In case I had inadvertently wandered into one.Standard training even for RAF people like myself.
