Stevie Ray Vaughan - Willie The Wimp
GREAT BAND Song and the main man Can JAM The Strings until they holler and scream
Stevie the Best 😢
You just wasted 6 minutes and 17 seconds listening to the most over rated rock and roll group of all time 😢
I was taught that if you have nothing nice to say, to say nothing at all. Nothing at all.
@MrJal67 Andrew dice Clay never has anything nice say and he says a lot.
GOAT!!!!
This is one of the oldest videos on UA-cam, is anybody else watching on 2024?

I was honestly expecting a rendition of Willie the pimp by Frank zappa. Lol.
Same

I was born in Chicago and was a big blues fan. However, I was too young to go to the clubs to hear Muddy Waters, BB King, Howling Wolf, Hounddog Taylor, and my other favorite blues artists. I left Chicago when I was 19 and recently returned. Unfortunately, all my favorites died while I was gone. Thankfully, Buddy Guy and his Chicago night club have been my link to the past.
This is my favorite all time jam
I guarantee that stage volume is LOUD!
Said I agree with the person that said he's the sexiest man alive that he is or was rest in. Peace, Stevie Ray he was the best guitar there ever. Was there ever is and there ever will be? Love you, Stevie
Just attended y’all’s concert in BHAM. You freaking rocked it with that harmonica
I guess the band didn't have a dental plan.
I'd better get my act right if I have to see him perform in heaven....
#soldout 😎🔥🎸💯
Real cool to watch him play when he got clean, he really lived up to the hype then
what a showman! simply brilliant.
Saw him a The Gorge, Riviara Paradise, blood red sunset behind him, still gives me chills.
The guitar world wouldn't be remotely close to what it is today, if it wasn't for this godly figure, right here. 🙏 🎸⚡️
❤❤❤
Just the best solo and guitarist ever… PERIOD RIP STEVIE👍👍🙏🙏
Brilliant! This song reminds me of my burnt out Vietnam vet uncle Dave. I give him full credit for turning me on to rock-'n'-roll. The only music I knew until then were polkas and Laurence Welk. Thank you Uncle Dave! Without you I might have turned out square. Rest in peace 🍻
One of the greatest guitarists of all time.
SRV WE LOVE YOU DOWN UNDER
This is my dropping off to sleep meditation music.
Where's this from and what year?
looking forward to your performance at airwaves this year!
He brought joy to many…easy journey.
Good for imagining your own d*ath in a very slow and dramatic way. Pure therapy, for me at least.
❤
If you want to know about how this song came about. You need to check out you tuber Scott On Tape. Willy The Wimp was a for real person. Scott's latest video tells you all you nee to know.
RIP SRV.

My favorite srv song 🎵
After all these years, SRV is rill KING.
Excellent musicianship - wonderful touch and feel.
Awesome
Stevie opened for Clapton the night he died. Clapton stood backstage and said "none can expect me to be that good"
art
THE GREAT ONE.
If your gonna be a one hit wonder this is your song RIP Leselie
I saw Buddy a lot at Antones in the 1980s. He and Stevie Vaughan sure influenced me in my music tastes. Buddy always a nice guy.
Il più grande chitarrista in assoluto
To quote part of a line from a Tom Petty song..."Oh my, my -- Oh hell, yes...
So cool! I love Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen's harmonicas in their music, but I've never heard a whole song using the harmonica as the main instrument! Sounds very cowboy-ish.
Long ago, he was a grounds keeper here at LSU, and he quit to go to Chicago seeking musical fame and fortune, which he found. Ten years ago, he received an honorary doctorate from LSU for his music, and was presented with a purple and gold tiger-striped Strat (ua-cam.com/video/TE0X8dXg3cU/v-deo.html).
Yessiree bobcat tail, so happy I had the pleasure to watch Stevie Ray tear up the stage at Pier 84 in NYC in 1983 or perhaps it was '84. Guitar strings broke from the brutal force of the Texan's fingers. And holy 🤬ck, when the guitar strap unexpectedly unhooked, I swear it was mind-blowing to view Stevie play his white guitar with nothing more than his 🤬king head - nothing else. Throughout the "slip the security gaurd $10 to gain entry" concert, SRV's customized instruments screamed out distinct sounds like no one else before or since. Amazing what $10 got ya when I was in my 20's and f🤬ckin' musicians actually played their own 🤬damn instruments. What a great time, until... At 61+ years of age, now, I'm not to proud to let inform all y'all, YES I CRIED for days, weeks,...when reality set in - with me acknowledging/accepting SRV was truly fu🤬ing gone.THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER😢😢❤
