It's an old English expression which refers to walking with no particular haste or purpose. I believe its origins are with the military who would use this term when not out on parade or TAB'ing (Tactical Advance to Battle). I kind of think that Bimble is a nice way to describe a leisurely walk in the woods! 👍

Hello matey, yeah there is definitely something appealing about a wet camp. It's a good test of your campcraft and also nice when you can enjoy the rain from the comfort of your shelter. I can kind of see Cheese and Rich Tea. I've had stilton with digestives and they were pretty good, it's a bit of a sweet and sour thing. I love Fig rolls and Garibaldi's but just not sure about their dunkability, maybe that's for a future video? All the best though, hope you can get some dirt time soon 👍

@@barneysbimbles I get the same feeling when I'm in waterproofs working in heavy rain, I absolutely love rough weather 😄 I'm going to take a leaf out of your book mate and do once a month starting very soon. It's my daughters fault I just can't tear myself away from her the cute little git! 😄 Haven't camped since December 22nd! Definitely need some tree time! @@barneysbimbles I’m on a trip next week and will be using panniers on that one , I can get 4kg in each one with another 3kg in the front roll bag. Basically it’s my camping gear for the hills . I have the rear seat post bag but have never used it as I can’t get much in. So a rear rack for me is a must , although the minimalist look is good but in practice is not for me 😂🚲👍

Hi, that's the Evernew 6.5inch titanium pan, and have been really pleased with it. You can get them from Tamarack outdoors or Ultralight Outdoor Gear. Unfortunately they're quite expensive, I was lucky enough to get mine in a sale. 👍

Excellent, I'm thinking the 44t might suit my needs and the hills in Kent. The Bobcat is great, it's still only a 1 person tent so is not exactly a palace. But, I'm 5'10" and can sit up in it with no issue. It also has a very generous vestibule and a really clever door with four zippers allowing you to configure the door and vestibule area in multiple ways. I've not used mine in the rain yet, but I'd be content to spend a bit of time inside if the weather did close in. Hoping to get it down to Dartmoor later in the year 👍

Fair comment about a lock too, generally the bike doesn't leave my side, especially when I'm commuting with it, but I have been known to tie it to my shelter when camping! 👍
