This is a short video showing how I schanged the right-Bottom engine mount on a Volvo V70 II p26. This engine mount is one out of 5 engine mount in this car model. I used my lifting bar to held supporting the engine from the top to avoid removing the engine cover and lift the engine from the oil pan. The new part is from Lemförder (which is a good quality). This video is part of the Volvo V70 c...

I compared two MAF sensors: one is an OEM part from VDO, the second one is an after Market one from Magnetti Marelli. The car is a BMW e46 320i with an M54 engine. I compared the voltages of the signals and the effect of this on the fuel trims. My first target was to solve the issue with the fuel trims as the values of the long terms were at -12,5%: this is an indication that the ECU was extrac...

How to do a compression Test on a BMW with an M54 engine | e36 e46 e39 Z3 X3
Hello, you mentioned that you have changed the entire hose that goes to the fuel filter. Maybe you could tell me something more about it? Was it hard, what did you have to remove? (I am thinking about changing it, because everytime when i start the car after it was not running for a longer time, it starts roughly (pressing acceleration pedal helps). But if i imediatly turn the engine of after starting it, it starts imediatly. And the longer the engine is turned off, the harder it gets to start it. Thanks for help in advance😁 (m54b30 engine)
Bro I love you
My new valve keeps getting stuck after driving more than 30 mins. I got the cap off and jiggled the piston to release it and had it working again for my next ride, but got stuck again. I noticed that after reaching almost the temperature set on the auto AC unit, the valve starts to knock regularly, meaning that it closes, then opens after 2 seconds, then closes again after another 2 seconds and so. I noticed this while standing still and confirmed by holding my hand on the hoses that enter the valve. After doing this repetitive open/close actions, the valve eventually gets stuck somehow. It's a Febi valve mounted few months ago during the summer. Not sure if I should buy a new valve or if this continuous opening/closing at 2 seconds is in fact the problem and I need to replace the AC control unit and not the valve...
Love the diagram!
Awesome video. Thanks for sharing. I don't know why, but my 2004 330ci doesn't have a check valve. Any thoughts ?
Does the vaccum tank has another hose that goes up to the bulkhead through electrical relay fuse box? I see gray hose behind the yellow line. That grey line that goes to the vacuum tank. Where does it attach on the intake manifold? And the other end of the vacuum tank hose (not shown in the diagram) goes to the bulkhead?
volvo v70. same codes. fuse 8 again, thanks for the heads up.
Wait so you're telling me there's a vacuum hose that goes all the way into the petrol tank into the fuel pressure regulator from the intake boot??? I just replaced my fuel pressure regulator and fuel filter. There was nipple that seemed like it would connect to the vacuum hose but the old regulator didn't have anything connected to it. So I just replaced the new FPR in the same state but it runs just fine (aside from a vac leak coming from the intake boot)... are 320 M54s different than X3 M54s?
What would cause p0036 P0174 P0171 And P0301-P0306 😅😅😅
The Valve stays on in the initial 15minutes to allow the motor get warmer faster, if the valve opens straight away the motor will have to cool all the water in the heating element thus extending the warming up time. A little bit as a temperature valve only that with a timer.
nice idea with the cable holder!
excellent info! Ive been chasing down issues on my van for YEARS.........and finally have come to a loose/not sealing oil cap (and oil filler tube grommet at the engine is cracked, leaking air) creating a LEAN condition.....leading to more fuel injected.... and fouling the spark plugs and O2 sensors!
Excellent! My 07 v70 burnt the AC compressor solenoid. After replacement it idled at 1500rpm and very sluggish throttle response. Turns out the fuse #11 was burnt. Thanks for great guidance
M54b25. My old Siemens and Atec mafs are showing 3,22 and 3,3 g/s at idle and I have Lean codes p0171 + p0174. With a new Siemens(VDO/Continental) it shows at 744 rpm 4 g/s (14.4kg/h) and no codes. So I have almost 50% more air consumption as you. Trims are perfekt. How is it possible?
@@riseofthemashine2880 two different engines, mine is a M54b20... but this still does not explain the air massflow difference.
Sweet good job.
I'm sure you know this, but there's a routine for checking the transmission fluid level. Drive the car in your hottest temp and then park the car and shift through all gears with 3 seconds in between. Wait two minutes and then check the level!
Thank you for sharing! This will help me check my volvo!
Same colour as mine, even the VIN is the same for the first 7 digits!
So if I delete my SAP I can plug that back vacuum port and get rid of the Vacuum control valve and all the green and pink lines correct? and if I get a different muffler U cab cap off the port right beside that because it goes to the rear to open the valve on the muffler correct?
What is SAP, and can you really disconnect those lines? My car is missing some tubes and also the check valve, the white and black thing. I ordered it now and connected some hoses. Is is bad or should I connect all hoses without a SAP? If I didn't have one installed? Best regards
The highlights of this machine👍. Just bought this car and trying to locate the Engine number for registration purposes.
great video...does this heater control valve also responsible for cold air? .... from Mzansi.
@@Ndzila-pl6qw No. Cold air will flow through the evaporator and this valve should be closed.
Can you please tell me what is the part numbers for hoses that are connected to it ?
Thanks for the video. I will save 70€!
Hi what happens if that check valve is not working correctly do you get a vacuum leak also?
Your awesome I love you 😂 I been searching online for an explanation just like you gave in the first 20 seconds with the picture
It Is to keep your engine as hot as possible for as long as possible after you shut It off so It might be ready for you within an hour or so to take off and withstand higher load without waiting. Tho theres also version with pump attached to It that makes It also circulate hot water so you can keep heater on inside the cabin even when your engine aint running
ja wann kommt denn das nächste Video
nice :)
Apparently it takes a few hundred km for the VANOS seals to seat properly.
Could be.. in my case I didn't notice an issue after doing the Vanos. But in one or two times I got a fault code related to the exhaust Solenoid. I just deleted the code and never came again. May be an adaptation issue.
Basically the same issues for my e46 last year. Brakes and lights.
It's all doable stuff. Nothing that should keep a car like this off the road for too long 😊
This is the video I been looking for, I need to do the exact same thing to my E46 I have a small vacuum leak that doesn’t allow my car to pass smog in California. Been replacing just about every hose and still, the vacuum leak is there. Thank you for posting this video, I hope I can reach behind the engine and connect those 3 lines. 😂
Nice work mate! thank you ♥
Hello sir , I own a BMW e46 320ci and I have some problems with it ! Is there any chance that we can talk somewhere private and maybe you can help me out fixing it !
Thanks for this video, I will be doing this in my 2004 E46 325i. Your attention to detail and knowledge are superb. Liked and subscribed!
I have same problem but with v50but i cant find a fuze? Can yall help
Thank you so much for this video ! I found your video while searching for a solution to my problem. My 2005 e46 325i does not blow warm air thru vents, only cold air.
the thin hose where does it lead that you repaired first
Quick question just to get a final answer because different sources say different things, but what size tube did you use for the tubes that go to the jet pump, and the size of the tube that goes from the smaller nozzle of f hose? because ive heard 3.5x1.8mm ID, 3.5x2mm ID, and I've heard the size doesn't matter as long as the ID is correct, Please help!!
Thank you, for this video with a lot of information about the entire vacuum system, I will do the same for my 03 X5
great explanation. SUBSCRIBED
Hi, if i delete the secondary air. Can i remove the check valve and plug the hole from the intake? And can I rmove the vacuum control valve as well?
Whats the use of the vacuum tank? and how easy is it to replace this complete line?
great video! i see that some people completely remove the SAP system. do u think thats a good idea?
A cosa serve quella valvolina di plastica collegata si tubi di silicone? Il meccanico lo ha sostituito su mia subaru xv diesel, al minimo faceva un suono simile a questo: brtbbrrrt
Which brand was the best in fuel consumption?🤔🤔
A quoi sert cette petite electrovanne noire
been looking everywhere for this diagram. Nice man
I dont have any vacuum lines on the passenger side near the secondary air pump, nor on the back of the intake. I only have one going from the fuel filter to the intake boot and from there to the brake booster. I have a 2004 325i . Why Is mine different?
May be in warm areas bmw made models without the secondary air pump which needed to warm up the catalyc converter quickly in cold weather. If you dtill have the pump so somebody deleted the vacuum lines
