My recommendation is throw as many straps as you can, if you take a load like this down a bad road (like 89 in arizona) foam panels will try to bounce around really bad. You need as much pressure on them as you can get without tightening the straps enough to crush them. If you get 4x8 panels you technically only "need " 2 straps but if you put less than 4 on the front and back they're GOING to shift, not might, they WILL.

The best way to set misinformation straight is that just about all trucking companies are never honest about what the load pays gross, to the truck and in any way shape or form if they could skim a couple of bucks from the driver and they will do so. If you get paid by percentage especially when freight rates go down requires you to work the same hard long hours for less money. This would be like having an hourly job where once in a couple of weeks the employer takes a few bucks off an hour For you to do the same work. Mileage pay is always around 10 to 12% less than you actually drive. With today’s technology door-to-door GPS should be a fairway to pay a driver, but they don’t. They use different phrases like practical route, ZIP Code ZIP Code, or HHG. these practices have been common in the trucking industry for the last 70 years. Sometimes it is not a drivers fault if he hast to ride around construction, accident, etc., but it’s hard pressed to get a company to pay extra miles, even though that is time out of your logbook. best way to go is to find a trucking job, and there are many out there that pay by the hour, especially with overtime.

653 miles for a week is low lol for most companies even for starters. My very first day out with a trainer I drove 430 miles 😂. Ended up the week with like 2,200 miles. That guy was running the hell out of me!!! But it’s good experience. Glad he did well

your a bone head your base is off a thousand miles & not all loads pay the same your comparing apples to oranges ,, your pay on percentage is high paying loads,, if the load only pays two hundred that 27% is junk,, seems you could do better as an O/O , Does TMC let you look at pay out on the load,, Gross? or Net? when your talking money get your facts straight,,,,,,,,

How do you stay cool in the summer times without the truck idling? I'm like a furnace when I sleep and with the percentage being affected by idle time, I'm trying to think of a way to keep myself cool, but also keep my percentage up.
