Pull those for a local Savannah company all the time! Was going to go with TMC, but glad I took the local job. Great family to work for snd home every night.
I'm glad you were able to find a company that you enjoy. That's the hardest part about trucking. What was the company name so other ppl in the area can check them out. Stay safe out there brother.
@@LawfulGiraffe the company is Glenn-Lee Trucking, so far they have been awesome! Trucking is a later in life thing for me, so my wife didn’t want me gone all the time. They run local and regional, they send me on runs I can come back the same day. They do have drivers that may stay out a couple of days at a time though if they want.
I’m in my 3rd week of CDL training and when you said it was Ro Ro’s last week of training I was excited because I was like that lines up perfectly. Because I’m from Springfield, IL. Then you had to let me down with the taking a week solo 😂
Applied again knowing they probably say no. Currently driving dry van with Schneider. Unfortunately I made a stupid rookie mistake in a truckstop and struck a truck. Whole time I have been out I've honestly been jealous of TMC drivers such nice clean looking trucks. Worst they say is no like last time.
That's the best time so you can learn with a trainer through the hardest season and have a whole year to learn. That way the following winter will be a breeze.
Me and my trainer hauled the shit out of shingles last week! We had 2 loads coming out of Medina, Ohio in one week, and another in Savannah, Georgia. That hurricane had ‘em moving.
@@LawfulGiraffe I drive a yard truck right now, been wanting to get a cdl for awhile and TMC has been looking promising to me because I feel like it would be more involved and a more interesting experience

Sorry I needed a break lol.
@@LawfulGiraffe you’re good lol I just thought it was cool that it would’ve lined up. I completely understand though lol

What did they say? We all make mistakes but as long as we learn, it just makes us better.
@@LawfulGiraffe Haven't heard back yet. Been a busy week for me.
i get out on the road with my tmc trainer tomorrow
How is it doing flatbed in the winter? Is that a good time for a new otr driving to come in ?

Yea shingles are a hot item after a hurricane.
Been wanting to quit my job and come work for TMC soo bad. Any advice?
Change is hard. I know nothing of your situation so I'd say do what's best for the family.

Oh if you're a yard guy then I would 100%
@@LawfulGiraffe How is the home time during the training with a driver? Was curious if I'd be out until I got my own truck or no
😎✌️🤙
Did you dead head to Rapid city from IA. Do you get paid for that?
Only if the empty is 150 or more miles.
