Geesh! That is awful. I remember my folk’s ‘72 Tbitd, then the ‘74 Merc Broughm. Fine vehicles! Put together right. After those vehicles Ford quality hit the skids, so they went Chevrolet… until GM started getting crappy.

The extra tool kit loops in the kit will hold roof rail removal tools. included when your bronco comes with roof rack and rails . I found the rack tools in a bag in the glove box in a separate zip loc . Great video ,Thanks.

Im with ya on the cargo mat and the dash cam. locking lugs arent worth much and do people even steel wheels any more. the door sill gaurd is kinda silly its an offroad truck ment to do offroad things its gonna get beat up. and the key fob is rather stupid now ya have to fight with that junk any time you want to lock the glovebox or console which you should do if you have the soft top or tops are off

I been looking at broncos for a while now and I kept wondering if the plate being up so high was a mistake but more of them had it.. then I was worried about those holes being in the bumper.. almost a deal breaker .. why in the world ? scary stuff

Made a HUGE difference. I painted mine with gloss black raptor 1k which is like Bedliner paint. The finish is identical to yours and it’s rock hard. Also my experience taking off the bolts was identical. Accept I torqued mine to 40ft/lbs. Seemed a bit better. And the look is sick.

I see your tools listed that would be needed. Can you just use a 3/8 torque wrench with the fittings to torque to the 22lb recommended?

Mine came from the factory with massive & weird gaps in panel seams.

I just got my 24 OBX and want to do this same mod. I'm nervous about stripping or cross threading the bolts. I was planning on sandblasting them myself since I have a sandblasted and a friend will powder coat them if I buy the powder. Thanks for the great video

I know this video is almost a year old, but I had to add my two cents worth. We had a 2021 Bronco that got multiple chips the first couple of weeks we owned it. We repaired them at our own cost. Then a bigger rock made a bigger chip (HOLE) and we had to replace the windshield. After that, we added this deflector. We never had to repair another chip. We just traded up (from Big Bend to Outer Banks w/Sasquatch)for a 2023, and added this deflector within the first week of possession! If you want to protect your investment, you cannot spend a better 90 Dollars!

Mine also came with two velcro straps, no idea what they are for.

I got em, because I pulled the wires off the connectors twice. These covers helps keep me from pulling the wires off.i however got the full covers that cover the entire area.

Fuse taps are ghetto. Just get the Delphi/Aptiv pin, crimp it onto your wire and snap it into the connector. Pin 2 on J3 right there is battery positive, fuse 4 and there's nothing on it. You can pull that 5A fuse you used and check continuity to see which pin it uses too. Ford uses the Apex line of connectors through MY2022. It'll either be 6.3mm, 2.8mm, or 1.5mm. being 5A, it's probably 1.5mm.

NOIICCE! Looks good, man! I ended up buying the blacked out emblem and wanted to see how to get to the clips off; will be using my maxed out credit cards for the job since they aint gettin any use right now anyways! xD I'll be disassembling the original and doing some monkeying around a bit, myself, after seeing how awesome yours came out. Oh, might I suggest looking into KBS clear, its UV safe and doesn't yella like other clears, good stuff. You mentioned you had some other projects.. if they are going to be exposed to the UVs it might be worth lookin into. KBS has gloss and satin finishes in the clear, btw. Thanks for the vid!
