I just bought the blue Folio edition on AbeBooks for only $28. I saw the Lyra's version on AbeBooks for $950. There's no way I can afford that. I say that even while I'm saving up for a Suntup edition of The Time Machine. So technically, I probably should have enough for it by next February, but I'm getting a different book.

Thank you for showing this series, it's an absolute MUST. Didn't know there were special editions out, just bought The Desert Spear and had to find the Warded Man 2nd hand for a bit more $$$.

At some point you should get the new Folio Gormenghast set - it is absolutely stunning.

Yeah, thanks a lot for this video. Now I have yet another book to add to my 'to buy' list. Worse yet, it may have already been bumped up to second or third... sigh.

One of my favorite limited editions, I was lucky enough to snag a copy when it was first available from FS. The subject matter and the Alan Lee illustrations almost make it feel like a companion piece to Lord of the Rings.

All three are incredible copies! Tolkien’s commentary in his translation was massively helpful in a recent read. I’m also partial to facing text.

I just discovered Conversation Tree Press a couple of days ago and promptly ordered this edition after watching your video and a few others. I feel lucky that it was still available! I wish I had discovered them sooner, that Treasure Island deluxe edition looks absolutely stunning. I may have to sell a kidney and try to buy it on the secondary market once it comes out.

Any chance they will reprint this? Maybe different editions not to take away from the limited editions?

Lovely binding. Sadly, missed out on this edition as I hadn't heard of CTP until a few weeks ago. Even more annoyed at missing out on the deluxe edition of Treasure Island ( it was one of my most read tales during childhood ).

Don’t see many videos about these books. Desert Spear is my favorite of the series. Like you mentioned the character arcs are great. Beautiful edition there with the wards.
