This channel is all about my adventures and the channel is named after my faithful four legged companion Sydney who came on lots of my adventures.
I have been interested in trains all my life and have travelled all over the world to see them. I also enjoy travelling. So all my films won't just be about trains, it's about sharing good times.

We Build A Model Railway Room - Part One
Ok, something a little bit different this week. It's a bit of DIY with a railway theme!
We start to build a model railway room. Having recently bought a house, one of the reasons why I liked it was the space that could be used to convert it into a model railway room.
So this is the start of that process. The railway room conversion is part of the overall house refurbishment. This part is a bit of preparation for work to the room later down the line, but it suits us better to do this bit now as it fits in to what's going on inside the rest of the house.
So sit back and enjoy

Thanks for showing what goes on in Scotland. I liked the slate train scene in 009 in the beginning. A lot of big layouts, and a lot of late 60's to modern era, not quite my theme, but stil great to see what's going on.

@@sydneyfilms6445 if you can find out that would be great. There is one that runs on Melbourne's Puffing Billy narrow gauge and it's a stunning thing. I was having a lok aroud and there is a 3D printed resin kit, but I wonder where once would source the motion gear

I did the seating option as I only did London Carlisle,dep 2350 ETA 0509, and it wouldn't be worth getting a bed for a 5 hour trip as efficiently you aren't going to get to bed until midnight and up about 0420.I have done the beds loads of times but since Serco PLC took over it has become much more expensive than it was when Scot Rail ran it.However even the seats are much better than an overnight bus.
Yes, I agree, it is getting expensive, but it was a treat as we hadn't been away in ages.
I liked the Welsh Highland Railway and the triangle junction one but was disappointed to see the incorrect use of the tar wagon behind Thomas and Annie & Clarabel behind Percy, at least Emily had the right coaches¡

Good selection of layouts in a variety of scales. Music a bit intrusive but at least it's not heavy rock! Scratchy Bottom loco sounds do not synch with the wheel rotation (Terrier sounded like a Nelson with 8 beats per revolution!) and I accept that some don't like weathering their stock but one ought to consider a bit of matt black inside a copper-capped chimney.... just a thought. Port Solway excellent.
