The Manx Electric Railway

Part 2 of Southport MRS's annual holiday, known as the Sleeper Trip.
Filming was in June 2023.
This episode is mainly travelling on the Manx Electric Railway. The railway runs from Douglas to Ramsey and the line is about 17 miles long, with a journey taking around about 1 hour & 20 minutes each way.
Even though they still use original rolling stock that dates back to the 1890's, this is not a heritage line, but a community transport link that runs to a timetable most months of the year on the island.
We were extremely lucky with the weather and enjoyed 3 mainly hot and sunny days. We do travel on the Snaefell Mountain Railway, but there was a large group which made filming difficult.
