Lmao, as a long time DA fan, I love how the Veilguard hating !ncels conveniently forgetting DA 2 and Inquisition were highly “controversial” games when released themselves especially when it came to dialogue and the narrative. Guess what? Years later and both these games are now considered masterpieces as time went on. I have grown to learn to never judge a game until I played it myself and AC Shadows would be no exception. As long as the core gameplay of a game is fun, that’s what ultimately matters in the end.

Honestly, I've been playing for 20 hours like it was nothing because all the fun I'm having and as a fan of all BioWare games since their beginnings I can only say good things so far, I'm loving everything to the fullest. To get a downside maybe playing in Nightmare mode, as I always do in each installment, everything seems very easy. I do not know if it will be harder (some bosses and monsters are that's for sure) but I'm having more skills and gear and survive is not very complicated, and that without focusing on secondary stats yet, without enchants or stronger equipment like the red ones (uniques) that grants some huge stats and passive bonuses, you can see that it is more focused on action rpg is a fact, but not a bad thing. I still have a LOT of gameplay ahead, and more and more things are opening up to do, experience or explore. I love the scenarios, the combat, our codex, the quests, the lighthouse, the story so far, the smaller maps with areas that open up as you progress (something like GoW) on which you can return later for extra things (exploration, quests, reputation, gear, lore...), the characters, yes there is still gore... there is lot to do and see. I don't know, I don't understand where the flaw is for some, play it first and then draw conclusions. I'll keep playing I can tell you, I'm hooked! 😍

Welcome to what's going to be the longest playthrough ever: Dragon Age: The Veilguard. We all know this game is very controversial. I will do my absolute best to give my honest opinion. Please remember if someone likes something and you don't that's completely valid and vice versa. I however will not tolerate any bigoted behavior.

Every time I hear that specific male voice for rook, I keep thinking it's the actor Luke evans. I know it's not, but it makes me feel like he could be a modeled character for anyone who goes with that voice

I have very low expectations from the current BioWare, BUT if the writing and some RPG aspects will be surprisingly great, then perhaps this game can turn out to be fun at some point. (For me, all trailers of this game felt like, it will be totally different than the previous DA games.) But I definitely will wait with the purchase. Even games, what I like from the very beginning in every aspects, usually comes out with many bugs and glitches in quests and dialogues in this genre, in RPG... Usually takes at least a few months after the game is released for the devs to fix their games... And the thing, I really don't like many things, design choices in this upcoming Dragon Age games, that will force me to wait more, so modders can fix the ugly aspects of Veilguard at some point, within a year perhaps... Such as the ugly effects, ugly HUD, I also want some mods for more control over my companions and so on... Yeah, I mainly want gameplay modifications, plus UI and visual modifications for Veilguard before I even would touch. But again, if this game is going to be too linear or/and have poor writing, then even modders wouldn't want to invest too much energy to fix this... thing, called DA for the "modern audience". Few more days until this game is finally out, and we will see some honest reviews about every aspects of this Veilguard, instead of paid journalist and their paid critics.

I’m definitely gonna play this game, but I unfortunately have a feeling this trailer is a fake dark trailer. I think this trailer was curated to make the game seem a lot more adult and darker than it is.

The game isn’t out yet so I have no opinion of course if it’s a good game or not What I have noticed is that a lot of the most venomous hatred toward this game that is not out yet has rhetoric that’s tinged with Christian and white nationalism. I think there are legitimate concerns and people aren’t wrong to express them. However, some of the over the top response seems to be rooted in some fanaticism and agenda, along with legitimate concerns If the game sucks none of it matters anyway 🤷🏻‍♀️

Most games use super hero proportions, games like Elden Ring and Dragons Dogma 2 for example have their cc characters with small heads, and broad shoulders. This is standard. Someone on the DA Reddit did a comparison of human anatomy and the Veilguard characters and they are all proportionally correct. They have normal heads and normal shoulders. It’s just that everybody’s eyes have been trained to the other standard of anatomy. And there’s an option in the character creator to shrink the head or widen the shoulders so it shouldn’t be a problem.
