This glitch broke all my Geometry Dash levels. What else can it break?
Some of you kept reporting suspiciously similar bugs in my Geometry Dash levels, so I decided to investigate to get to the bottom of it. Here's what I found.
If you like making complicated levels with lots of spawn triggers like me, I recommend you keep this in mind.

I "Fixed" my Mario Kart Geometry Dash Level

To beat this level, you'll have to beat it in both light mode and dark mode. Here's how that works. This Level Changes Every Attempt - Geometry Dash 2.2 Editor Tutorial

Another tutorial for you all! This time, I'll show you how to make a level that changes every attempt. You can use this to make a level that cycles between any amount of whatever you want. The Geometry Dash 2.2 editor really is something, huh? Rainbow Kart Level ID: 97866974 I think this took somewhere in the range of 2-4 weeks to make if you exclude the time spent just waiting for 2.2. I probably won’t make more Mario Kart levels since Nintendo might not like that, and also I’d rather make some of the other ideas I have. Maybe I’ll even make videos explaining how those work. Bot...
If you restart the level without actually moving from the spawn line at all, all the triggers that were on this spawn line still think that they were activated from the attempt before, essentially disabling them for the glitched attempt. This only affects spawn triggers because of the way they operate.
Use the R key to do the glitch easier
Thank you SO MUCH for explaining this. Just beat Semiquaver for my 1000 moon and I didn't understand why when restarting it said "stop breaking my level (restart to fix)" or something like that.
couldnt you just add a 0.001 delay
I tested this on youreid’a level “floating maze and it just turns off gravity. There is a failsafe for his other mingames though.
Does this work for every spawn trigger or only spawn triggers placed before the start line?

7:35 This glitch actually does cause some levels to be much easier, such as UFuel (infinite ufo jump), Pay to Win (lets you immediately complete the level), and HookAround N FindOut (infinite height from the hook). It happens when you pause and restart when the timer is at 0.00. It also works if you enter and exit practice mode at 0.00. Anyway, I asked a leaderboard mod about this a few months ago and I was advised not to use it to complete levels. So I would not recommend completing levels this way.

Also, not so bad fact, but... Checkpoints and startposes break gravity triggers, which in some cases, can be mildly infuriating...
theres also one that if you restart before the level actualy starts, spawn triggers with spawn ordered placed before the spawn pos dont activate
If spawn triggers without delay are the only ones effected, does that also mean delays less than 1/240th of a second also aren't effected? I ask this because generally delays that small do nothing.
Noone knows how pissed off i will get if something happens to light mode dark mode... It's actually my favourite one in the game

Don't worry, it's pretty rare for this glitch to happen if you're not trying to do it, and if it does happen, it should fix itself on the next attempt.
Robert Topala please add a legacy option that toggles this glitch on/off

The bug where u reset twice actually can affect every level with triggers (mostly with 2.2 triggers) i'll actually upload a video of it so u can see how It can affect the levels soon
I uploaded the video now where i showed how It can affect levels
I've been encountering this bug for a while now, but I actually had no idea it worked on level start. For me, it was always a problem on checkpoint respawn. The respawn group of a checkpoint or any event trigger set to 'checkpoint respawn' will fail if the player does this bug. I haven't found any perfect workaround for it, and I've just had to learn that you can't put anything important on a respawn group. As for why it happens, it's probably because these groups are usually triggered in a unique way before anything else in the level. For example, if you have a color trigger set to change the background that activates on a respawn group, the background will already be that color on the first frame of the new attempt. Without respawn groups (using touch triggers, etc), it takes a frame for the change to occur. Restarting twice probably just messes up this process in some way that rob never accounted for.

I thought it wasnt working then i realized i used a start pos. Also, if you want to make it stay at the last part of the sequence afterwards, copy that row's instant count trigger, then check the larger box instead of the equals.

In mario karts before 8, you could actually get a boost if you fell off the track and timed it to when you hit the ground again
