This is the kind of thing I expect when people make models of characters that are in anime style. Like, yeah, it's a semi generic anime style, but the model/s actually looks like the source material instead of being a copy pasted base

recentlly the creators of pencil+4 released a version for BLENDER! i was wondering if u could try it out with ur models and see how it looks since currently im unable to use blender 4.0 or 4.1

How exactly to make the outline? Is that the inverted hull solidify method?

well...considering I know the basics of modelling..this doesn't look TOO hard to pull off. It is like building a puzzle. Perhaps I can actually pull it off this time. only thing is rigging. how DO you rig a anime face? u gotta make sure the face looks good in every angle, and for that I know people create these shifting bones based on the camera angle..which sounds incredibly complex.

That's how Japanese anime do it nowadays, I come from an older generation and still watch Anime just only to critique the art and animation. As much as I like anime, some 3d scenes do not blend well with the animation.
