@@teslasincanada Because it's current and relevant to many and it's a bit naive to think it wouldn't come up on anything Musk related. As far as workers and families, it's a zero sum game in some way. If you're in the market for an EV, a car not bought from Tesla is a sale from another car maker, they also have workers with families.

Definitely the old one will have some deals at some point as they clear out the last of the inventory. Maybe towards end of March! Also the used market is a great place as well to scoop one up. Looking forward to a full review sometime soon!

The price will definitely drop, Tesla usually prices the new launch cars high so the die hard Tesla fans will buy them and then eventually Tesla will drop the price of them. But agreed the price is definitely overpriced right now

@@shotzy3229 yeah, they like to get those high prices up front for the extras and the additional “badging”. Which is good in the end in my opinion as it allows for more money to create more products in the future.

@ the only logical reason anyone would own a tesla is for the charging network and over the air updates. Once other companies can use the Tesla network, there is nothing left. I will never support any company Elon is involved with any longer. I would rather take the bus than spend one cent going to that fascist moron.

Thanks for watching! As the other comment mentioned just make sure the car is in good shape overall. If it has lower km’s (30k or less). You likely have nothing to worry about. They are built and designed to last a long time plus most are still under the warranty.

It does fall in line with that yes. However doing the math I believe the current increase takes into account the difference in value of the USD and CAD.

Don't think so. Ioniq 5 was $45K, now it's $55K (albeit better equipped). More reasonable than Tesla, but still gorging buyers. GM Equinox looks interesting, but really, we need to drop tariffs on Chinese EVs or better yet, let them open factories in Canada to increase competition. It's not like Canada build any EVs domestically today anyway. F*** the US.

They do offer some good options. The Kia EV9 is a vehicle I really like! Will have to make a video on that soon!

If Tesla has to increase prices for low Canadian dollar currency, other Auto Company will have to do the same or they will lose big time.

Depends on the supply chain for the other EVs and ICE as well. During the pandemics, Tesla (along with all the dealerships of other brands) was also gorging buyers.

@ Not true in Canada at least. Rav4 Prime was $45K when I put in my deposit. Now it's $51,715 and they have removed the heated back seat from the SE trim and added $1K "dealer fee" on top. I am glad I got a Model Y instead.

I don’t think electric is dead at all, they have advanced so far over time and prices in life always increase. They don’t go down over the long haul. So unfortunately in 5 years from now all vehicles will be a lot more than they are right now. Will 50k be a new “cheap” car? 80-90k be the average price and 200k+ be the new luxury price point? Who knows but I do know prices will go up over time.

It really does suck! In a matter of 1 month prices have gone up $10,000 with the price increases and izev being taken away. I truly hope it does not keep going up. Will be reporting on things over time as they develop. Hope to make some price decrease videos again this year…

You forgot about the 4 K we use to get in BC for the model Y before the province changed the limits!

Well stage is set for massive and meaningful disruption by other overseas EV competitors from South Korea and Vietnam in Cdn mkt. Looking forward to a $30k to $40k msrp CAD compact EV-SUV.

super disappointed as well. Lost my MYP last year and i've been holding off patiently for juniper Performance since. With the price increase I'll never touch a tesla again, just because it was purely political rather than "economical". It was never about the US to CAD margin, the tariffs and this alongside it are intentional to exploit and ostracize the Canadian market. Oceanic countries like Australia (currency comparable to CAD) is paying 73,000 for a new launch edition, $11,000 less than what its listed for here in Canada. This still also has yet to be hiked on Feb 1st, overall disappointing and hoping for Teslas downfall, the American right wing has confused its brothers in arms as the enemy, hopefully we can show just how destructive we can be as "enemies".

I agree the stainless steel has a lot of advantages in the snow!

I purposely waited to put defrost mode on until I had gone outside which was my mistake as I was in more of a rush to get going than I expected so I just cleared it off myself. Anyhow, it handles fantastic in the snow and ice.

@ you show it driving over some frosty roads. Any car can handle that. Even my 30 years old civic without any traction control can handle more. Now let’s see you plot that thing through 10 inches of fresh snow. That would prove its capabilities.
