Happy Anniversary and many more!
Thank you so much!@@PatriciaAnnichiarico
Good job. My piece of land looks somewhat the same. Lots of weeds, not a nice lawn at all. But the air is so much better out in the country.
Thank you! Our lawn is grass and Dandelions in the Spring and grass and Clovers in the Summer and Autumn. However, when it is mowed, it looks good. It is also good for the obligatory we need for the veggie garden, so we don't mind. As for the 'wild flowers/weeds' in my gardens, I am learning to coexist with them. Overtime, hopefully, the thickening of the gardens will get them somewhat under control. Some of them sure do have beautiful blooms, though. 🥰 Do you have a country property?
The breakfast looks good. Greetings from Toronto.
Thank you! We lived in Toronto for over 25 years before moving here. We come into the city fairly frequently. Thanks for being here: from the countryside of Hastings Highlands! 💕
God is good always there for us❤
Amen! 🙏❤️
Hey,I am also from Ontario Niagara falls.
Lovely! I think you may have a longer growing season than us. All the best in your garden for the season.
I have driven to Bancroft to shop for 60 years and never stopped to look around, Beautiful area and thank you for the tour.
You are welcome. I am happy to share and I will be sharing more! 🥰
Your garden is looking very healthy. The rain really makes the plants green and healthier. Happy gardening.
Thanks you! It does and we have been getting a lot. I am very pleased that I have not had to pull out the watering can nor the hose! Thanks for being here, see you again soon. Cheers!
❤
I'm so happy for you! God is good! I'm going through stage 4 breast cancer! I believe God is going to give me a me a miracle also! .❤ God bless! Big hug!❤
I am praying with you for your miracle, Samantha! God is awesome! When you are going through any such thing, it is a daily walk. Hi, thanks for being here! We were living in Toronto for over 25 years before moving here! We lived in the Scarborough Golfclub and Ellesmere area. I know the area east of Bancroft that you referred to. My hubby and I have made it a bit of a habit to drive out to see different areas. Lucky you, growing up spending time here in cottage country. The truth is, I did not know of Bancroft until we started looking outside of the city for a change. We live in South Baptiste in Hastings Highlands. It is a lovely place. When we moved here in 2015, it was a fixerupper. However. Our well and such were all hooked up and we have had no issues, except ofcourse we have to get the septic maintained. Subsequently, I am not familiar with any persons who offer the services you require. However, Bancroft does have a few Pages/groups on Facebook where persons advertise their business. I hope you have a fantastic stay here. Maybe you can pop by if you are ever in the Baptiste Lake area. By the way, I was born in Jamaica in the 60s. I immigrated here to be with my husband in the early 1990s. Yep, I think we should all dare to be different and develop our own individuality. Cheers! Have a lovely Canada Day 🇨🇦
Oh, so glad UA-cam algorythms popped this up for me! A realistic DIY! Finally! Exactly what I needed. Take care!
Thanks for clicking, being here and taking the time to leave your comment. I appreciate you. Have a lovely weekend. See you again soon! Cheers
Hi, I live in Toronto. Spent many summers in the Bancroft, Killaloe, Coe Hill area. In July I will spent all summer east of Bancroft. Looking forward to it. Your videos are very interesting and you dared to be different. Some of us were quite different too and often disliked. A hippie commune near Killaloe Station in the mid 60's. They grew some of the best cabbages in the area. Enjoy your summer, it's short. Question, do you know of a handyman in Bancroft who can hook up the well, fill the hot water tank and get the whole system running?
Ooh grapes soon, the birds will be very happy, hope you get to some too!!
You are sure right! My cherry had fruits for the first time and the Robins devoured them all. I am willing to share, but they are not. 🤣 Next year I will net my bearing vines, trees and Shrubs. Thanks for being here, appreciate you!
LOVE IT
Thank you!
Love it!
Thank you! Thanks for being here. 🥰
I did sub, but the title is vague, and all you said was you are happy about subscribers. No actual content. For me, I'd prefer some content about Jamaican patois, but of course you decide your material. Just letting you know. Thanks.
Thanks for subbing. This video is to say thanks for 300+ subs, not to create regular content. It was actually supposed to be a short, but I went a bit over. Bless
Love your channel and your healthy lifestyle ❤
@@PatriciaAnnichiarico thank you! I appreciate you. After experiencing kidney cancer in 2003, I am trying my best to do my best at life. When I fall I get back up. Have a lovely weekend! 🥰
Yum!
So good!
Speed up the construction process on the video!!! go to the essential next time! keep it up!!
Noted!
My granny used the boy's broken hockey sticks to label her rows. Never waste!
Waste not, want not!
Beautiful piece of land. I love NE Ontario. I bought a few acres near Bancroft. Looking forward to spend the summer there.
Thank you. ' Beautiful By Nature " Hastings Highlands. Congratulations on your purchase.
I think it will bring much happiness and beauty. ❤❤❤
Thank you. Stay tuned for more updates! Bless 🥰
So dirty. Everything will die
I did say it is an unfinished pond. Maybe I should say we had rain for two days, thus the water in the unfinished pond. 🤣
@jessed6379 Its clean dirt. A healthy lake, a healthy pond is murky, clouded. A clean looking pond or clean looking lake without fish and other acquatics is a dead lake. Go and look around Muskoka, many lifeless, dead lakes. Killed by humans and the poison they dump into our waterways.
Your arbor looks awesome!! Great job!
Thank you, Lorraine. Your comment means a lot to me. Bless 🥰🙏
i love that urn and snail. it looks very nice. did you make the snail. i love to work outside, but i just run out of energy.. enjoyed your video, thank you for sharing,
Thank you! Both the snail and urn are from treasure hunting. I enjoy finding treasures and my hubby caters to it. Actually, he was the one who fell for the snail first. I know, eh. It does take a lot of energy to keep going. However, the fact that we are couped up inside for so many months during Winter keeps me going outdoors. I enjoy being in the garden and creating. Hopefully, someday, I will be able to tinker in the gardens a bit more instead of expelling so much energy. Thanks so much for being here and for the conversation. Bless you! 🥰
Climbing roses get really big and strong. They produce massive blooms when happy and are so fragrant.Enjoy
Thank you! I am looking forward to the blooms and fragrance. Thanks for the info. I will keep them happy, for sure. 🥰
I really like your arbor. I hope to get my husband to make me one. I have some leftover lattice I hope to use on the sides & top. Thanks for sharing
Thank you, Lorraine. I actually, have a follow-up on this Arbor, because I decided to put a lovely twist to it. Now it is multi- purpose. It is even better looking now! I hope your husband does not take as long as mine would take. 😊 . I find I get more done when I DIM ( do it myself). 🤣 I would love to see photos of your completed Arbor. Thanks so much for being here! Please keep watching and commenting! Bless you. 🙏 🥰
Strong and resourceful lady, wish I had your energy
Thank you, Carol. Doing what I do gives me energy. I am thankful that I can still move because this body of mine has been through multiple surgeries, major and minor, but I am persuaded that nothing is going to get in the way of what I want to do. Sometimes, I move even when the body does not feel like moving. As I said in one of the videos, sometimes I surprise myself, BUT GOD IS GOOD. Bless you. Thanks for being here! I appreciate you! 🙏 🥰
Nice! I just made a trellis for clematis and honeysuckle and will be making another soon for grapes I just planted. It's so much more rewarding and fun when you do it yourself from scratch. I can relate and had a chuckle with the dropping things, the up and down on the ladder and getting excited when it's level and yes, I talk to myself throughout the whole build.
Thank you! You got it. However, yes, it feels so good when you are finish your build. Congratulations on your build! Would you mind sharing photos with me that I can share with the community? I would love to see your accomplishment! I am a dropper! I keep dropping the screws and the funny thing is, I seem to go up the ladder with the exact number of screws I need, most times. What can I say, I guess I will learn by the time I am done, building all the structures I am building around the gardens. I have finished four so far and I have started another one! 😊 Thank you so much for being. Talk to you soon again! Have a wonderful week! 🥰
What a lovely family conversation, sitting around the dinner table. It reminds me of my own Irish family when we came to Canada, and our friends were from the 4 corners of the world. Our pastor was from Barbados, our teachers were from India and the Middle East. In all faiths there are basic principles of decency and an innate fear of our mother 'telling our father when he got home'. We behaved as our parents encourage and threatened us to do so.
First of all, thank you so much for being here and for watching and taking the time to leave such kind words. We appreciate you! You get it, eh. Canada, Ontario, where we reside and have for the past 30 years plus is definitely a place of many cultures. This can either make for a very rich experience or a challenging one. As children, having parents help to instill values, be available to listen, communicate and share strategies to navigate your way is very important. You do have a wonderful week! 🥰
Peace be with you 🌻How many grape plants/vines were growing on the arbor you build in the photo (at the end of the video)?
Thank you! 2 grapevibes. However the arbor will be multi-functional. The completion of the Arbor will be shown in Part 3, which will be up on Monday. Bless evening.

Wow! I thought that I was the only one who picks out that white part of the egg. It's disgusting!
It is a cultural thing for me. We grew up removing them, because we think it makes the egg rawer. I am not sure it does. It is so funny, because our older son removes it too. However, our younger son thinks it makes no difference. He thinks we are wasting the egg. 😂I leant recently that it is called chalaza and is to protect the yolk from breaking in the egg, since they are connected to the inside of the shell on both ends.
Is that the same as grits?
I would say it is similar to grits and polenta. The coarseness of the cornmeal may be the difference.
Hi Peaches! You didn't tell us the ingredients for the porridge.
Jackie, thanks for being here. Please check out this video. I share details of how I make cornmeal porridge. ua-cam.com/video/SVMlNt35lgc/v-deo.html
We just seeded an area with lupins ❤
Lupines really pack a punch in the garden. Did you get them cold stratified? All the best.

Relationship requires work, and effort. meaning you must keep it fresh
Absolutely, relationships just do not happen in a vacuum. They do require work.
