Hey welcome to nightslayer! See you on the battlefield!! :D
Hey thanks!!! See ya there!
The Argent Tournament was fun. I don't care what anyone says.
Haha I still need to try that!
Clicked because black
Haha thanks?
Dude, yer absolutely right. Blizzard does make the player work to get the lore to fill things in, but they do have things that can give you a brief summary to catch you up. Very very brief. Either you go back and run the quests from the beginning or look up the many many books they have released. Or alternatively, if you like to listen to things. There are many loremasters online. I do recommend the Flyng Buttress. He does tend to inject a bit of humor into the tales. He has a lot of supercuts that summarize the novel it is based on. Plus the visuals are really nice. It does suck too, yer checking tanks out after Blizz nerfed the tar out of all of them. Prot War, while not the most fun tank to play was pretty self sustaining if you didnt mind taking an hour plus to solo a current level dungeon. Tank specs also do less damage with use dps trinkets than a dps would. I would pve as tank spec and use the dps trinkets to just boost my output and help me clear trash or solo elites/world bosses. Now, while still usable, they all do 30% less damage than before. Yeah. Dungeons are a mess right now. Especially timewalking. You really want a high Ilvl for that. Around 600 is a comfortable start. You can do them at lower, and you got lucky. To wander an do what you were doing in those dgs... normally would get you scolded bad or kicked. You were doing pretty good too. I would like there to be less elitism in WoW, but it seems that too many favor it. Especially with the dps meters... But glad you had some fun.
Hey appreciate the tip bro! Ya I'm checking out some lore masters but I'll add buttress to the list! And ya I heard about the tank nerfs which suck, I've played vengeance dh, blood and pally but have yet to try warrior but I plan to try it soon! And ohhh I figured my lvl was way too low😅😅
If you thought Stratholme was epic, just wait until you go back to 'The Culling Of Stratholme' in the Caverns of time ;) There's so much to do in WoW nowadays, it can be so overwhelming, but it's nice to see someone experience it with fresh eyes after 18 years playing it here!
Wait, is thought that was the culling😮 haha oops
once you buy a set the price gets reduced to 40 token, then when you buy a second set the price gets reduced to 20 tokens. then after that the price stays at 20 tokens for those revamped T2 sets
Awesome, thanks for the tip!
Sorry to say but your gear is not fit to do even heroic dungeons :D definitely get some gear to do even harder content, its easy to get to 610 as a new player if you are diligent :)
Ahh so it was my gear, thought so haha thanks! I'll get better ones!
Did you level in duskwood on Classic era, cata classic or was it on retail? Why im asking is because during cata the whole of kalimdor and eastern kingdoms changed to a more modern style, making the zones easier to traverse and quests easier to do. Just curious
Valid question. cataclysm turned every zone into "neat little quest hubs" that were super condensed. "walk 5 feet that way and bonk 5 of these on the nose" vanilla = an absolutely wild amount of back-and-forth walking / rng quest loot
It was on classic, I need to organize the classic and retail stuff better on my channel😅
The way you pronounced it XD gets a like just for that
Haha thanks!😅
Sound is ok but seems to be some distortion or slight clipping when you talk a bit louder,i would lower the uptake of the mic and adjust the compressor to not get hit red basically, maybe even put a limiter on the high end aswell, but other than that i enjoyed the video :)
Thanks homie, I'll keep tweaking things!
I'd love to go through old content with you, I started back in wrath of the litch king
Sure bro, one day we gotta do that! And wow you've been playing for awhile!
"I've never been anywhere fancy, except a steakhouse or chick-fil." Holy shit bro that made me laugh!
😂😂😂glad you got a laugh out of it!
again...im sorry for my ass audio:(
Yo, you should see this video : Tides of War [WoW Music Video] ❤
Best xpac hands down
Haha ya that's what they say!
thank god you're safe bro. Heard the hurricane is rough
Appreciate that homie, ya it was as bad where I am, sadly alot of people had it worse😔🙏
Oh by the way, You forgot to watch the raid cinematic trailer for icc
Oh really? Ahh gotta see that one!

The ruby dragonflight led by Alexstrasza the Life-Binder are able to heal or restore life back with their flames, thats why Bolvar didn't die
Ahhhh I figured it had something to do with her, thanks!!
again, sorry for the ass audio, im not sure why obs is making my mic sound like such HOT ASS, but its been like this since i reinstalled windows and reinstalled obs, ill fix it as soon as possible
You'll be getting the mount 100% in the event if you participate with the wow annieversary. Also about your mic, you should check on your desktop sound you probably have bass or treble bumped up to max (30) that's what makes it so loud and bassy
Mak'gora is very annoying tradition because everyone almost always cheats. But my favorite Mak'gora is where Doomhammer kills Anduin Lothar fair and square. Doomhammer is very underrated warchief, I think he was the real and true orc warchief.
When no specific rules regarding number of weapons, armor or magic are previoisly set by both participants, anything goes. Only in the movie does magic seem to be completly not allowed
Ahh gotcha! And really? Why do you think that?
Late happy birthday dude! If you hit L and open your Quest Log there will be a thing at the top which says Campaigns and SHOULD tell you the next quest to pick up for War Within. The world tree Teldrassil was burned in 2018 under Sylvanas's order in Battle for Azeroth. Those were night elves not high elves. Alleria and Sylvanas are high elves. When she's talking about her family I beleive she means her parents, aunts, uncles cousins and their little brother Lirath who were slain by the Old Horde (Warcraft 1 and 2 Horde under Blackhand the Destroyer and then Orgrim Doomhammer, Orgrimmar is named for him) in the "Second War" which is how they refer to the events of Warcraft 2 which was 1995. We often use the real release dates of the games as a judge of time, it's not always 100% accurate though, like the intro cinematic for WoW says "4 years have passed since the mortal races banded together and stood united against the might of the Burning Legion" you might remember that from cinematics. That means 4 years since Warcraft 3. There's also an explicitly stated time skip of 5 years from the start of Shadowlands to the start of Dragonflight. Otherwise the expansions are basically the same amount of time as their release from each other story wise. Example: The War in Northrend took roughly 2 years. Also not sure if anyone told you or I mentioned it there are THREE Windrunner sisters. Alleria is the oldest and Vereesa who is mostly featured in the books but has been here and there in WoW too is the youngest. Also Alleria's regret for turning down the role of Ranger General of Quel'thelas is kind of her feeling guilty as Sylvanas was the one who took that responsibility and ultimately lead to her confrontation with Arthas when he was a death knight. I'm gonna be honest, don't worry about spoilers. WoW is more open ended story wise than FF14. Our game didn't focus as hard on narrative from expansion to expansion as FF14 did. That isn't to say that there isn't one continuing story. But like WoW, BC and Wrath were like the continuation of Warcraft 3's story with random adventures here and there. However it didn't have any cutscenes outside of the cinematic teaser from 2001 ua-cam.com/video/AdrnyVdadaY/v-deo.html (don't think you've seen that one) and the cinematic intro. There were patch trailers but they didn't start until later and weren't "themed" and voiced until 1.11 Shadow of the Necropolis in 2006. There's not nearly as much in game voiced dialogue in original WoW/BC and every expansion we got a little more. Even then in game cutscenes, in game cinematics which are kind of different and more voiced dialogue and narrative slowly trickled in each expansion. Soloing the raids also isn't like doing them when you actually needed 10/20/25/40 people for them with the current skills, stats, talents and classes available at that time. Every expansion, the game just wants you to go to the max level of the last one and start playing through the most current one. Everything is balanced around the MOST CURRENT dungeons and raids (don't get confused, sometimes this includes rescaled versions in "Timewalking" which is not the same thing as Chromie Time Campaigns and they rescale a few Mythic Plus as throwbacks every Season). But yeah what MOST people do is grind the current expansion and when their daily/weekly stuff is all on cooldown they go back and play in order. Sadly with original Azeroth ONLY being in Classic now the earliest you can playthrough lore wise is Outland which takes place after we've beaten Ragnaros, Nefarian, Onyxia, Hakkar, C'thun and Kel-Thuzad. If you still are worried about spoilers I'd say the MAIN ONES to worry about are any expansion after Mists of Pandaria, MAYBE Mists of Pandaria itself, MAYBE Cataclsym but really Cataclsyms in game cutscenes were kind of mundane and for the most part the quest stories just lead into the dungeons and raids. WoD, Legion, BFA, Shadowlands and Dragonflight definitely have more narrative heavy questing and cinematics though, so avoiding spoilers there for a lore playthrough could be worth it. Most people are gonna tell ya to just watch a "recap" video however to just catch up story wise with where we are now. Also some stuff you just WON'T GET in game. Like Galakrond the Greatfather and his story is from a series of shorter books called "Dawn of the Aspects". Basically when the Aspects were more primitive proto-dragons they fought and stopped him. He was like a super corrupted undeadish dragon and they combined their breath attacks to kill him and their reward was the Keepers and Titans evolving them and giving them their powers as well as their flights' "charges" to uphold. Red being watching life itself and leading all the flights. Green watching nature and the Emerald Dream (complicated nature dimension I'll explain some other time), Blue watching over magic itself, Bronze watching over time and Black watching over the deep parts of the world as well as the elements and elemental planes of the world (Firelands, Skywall, Deepholm, Abyssal Maw/oceans. The thing at the end with the blue dragon was an event from Cataclysm's 4.2 patch Rage of the Firelands where casters got a Legendary (orange) staff called Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa's Rest. Something about a blue dragon sacrificing herself to stall Deathwing's plans and her spirit living on in the staff. Cataclysm and Mists of Pandaria were kind of hat pulls story and theme wise. They started to refocus on traditional Warcraft type stories with WoD, Legion, BFA but those were hit and miss with I'd say Legion having the most cohesive narrative story. Shadowlands is mostly hated but the REASONS for that are like it marketed itself as Wrath 2 kind of and didn't deliver on that. It's lore kind of spit on the original games and WoW's first few expansions and it felt more like a dis than anything. It started with strong ideas and they kind of fizzled out. Couple that with the gameplay systems and the promise of how they'd work versus what they actually gave and some people even rank it worse than Cataclysm and Warlords of Draenor now. Understand that there's GOOD BITS to all of them though. So the odds of you playing through EVERY EXPANSION, EVERY PATCH let alone EVERY QUEST comes down to if you want to miss the entirey of War Within and Midnight when it comes out. Hell you'd probably still be doing a "lore playthrough" of the old continents/worlds when The Last Titan is wrapping up. That's why I linked you the video playlist I did years ago. That + some Nobbel87 or PlatinumWoW would help better than just questing. Some of the story isn't really told in the quests either. Like Warlords of Draenor happened after Mists of Pandaria but from players PoV a portal to an alternate past Draenor just opened out of nowhere without much explanation. Unless you read the novel Warcrimes you have no idea how Garrosh escaped after MoP. (2nd part continued)
So no it's not an alternate universe Dalaran. That's Dalaran when it was in Northrend. They just don't remove the old continents/worlds when that expansion ends. That's Northrend as we left it in 2010. Dalaran was there, when you're in Northrend the idea is that's just that time period "Wrath of the Lich King" in 2008-2010. This is why I put the dates next to expansions when I comment on your videos. It helps keep track of shit. Dalaran was actually the hub city during Wrath and it was there first as far as WoW goes. TECHNICALLY it was in Alterac Mountains during original WoW in 2004-2006 but we weren't supposed to know what was there as there was a huge ass pink bubble of arcane magic and a shitload of Kirin Tor mages there. It was kind of a mystery all through original and BC and then we found out they were rebuilding it from where Archimonde destroyed it in Warcraft 3 in 2002 and it would be teleported to the skies above Northrend. Oh after original WoW yes most hub cities housed both Horde and Alliance and the idea is we didn't fight or we pissed of the factions of said cities. In Wrath Dalaran the Kirin Tor would literally teleport your ass in the air off the island if you engaged the other faction and you'd fall to your death. Original, Cataclysm, Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor we had separate hubs. The rest we shared one. It was laggy AF too originally before server layering... At some point it must have been teleported near Karazhan above Deadwind Pass because at the start of Legion it's there and you teleport it to the Broken Isles where it served as our hub in THAT expansion in 2016. So the main hubs in order were Stormwind/Orgrimmar in WoW 2004, Shattrath City in BC 2007, Dalaran in Wrath 2008, Stormwind/Orgrimmar again in Cataclysm 2010 after they and the rest of the world got the revamp where a lot of the old quests were removed and the only way to see those zones is in pre-Cata versions of Classic, Shrine of the Seven Stars/Shrine of the Two Moons in Mists of Pandaria 2012, your Garrison (most people hated it) in Warlords of Draenor 2014 (they ORIGINALLY were going to give Alliance the Temple of Karabor AKA the Black Temple and Horde was going to get Bladespire Citadel a huge ass ogre city but that got cancelled because of the damn Garrisons), Dalaran again with a few changes in Legion 2016, Boralus or Tradwinds Market/Dazar'alor in BFA 2018, Oribos in Shadowlands 2020, Valdrakken in Dragonflight 2022 and the current one that just came out. About Ulduar yes it is a Titan city and research facility where they mostly were studying how to remove the Old Gods from Azeroth without killing it. It was the the 3.1 patch raid tier for Wrath of the Lich King where you got Tier 8 raid gear. The 2nd raid tier of Wrath after 3.0's which were Eye of Eternity (1 boss), Obsidian Sanctum (1 boss kinda) and the re-released level 80 version of Naxxramas. All raids in Wrath had a 10/25 player version with Trial of the Crusader and Icecrown Citadel having 10/25 and Heroic 10/25. Ulduar is where they started experimenting with raids having extra difficulty for extra rewards. While it didn't have a "Heroic Mode" you could activate Hard Modes on individual bosses that were honestly hard as shit for some of them and would give loot about 7 item levels (half a tier) higher. Usually you'd hit a red button or do something in the fight in a different order, engage with a mechanic differently to push it into Hard Mode. This isn't exactly spoilers, you won't see much of this because it's not current content and nobody runs it anymore outside of soloing it and one shot killing bosses for transmog. Yogg-Saron was imprisoned here and was the 13th boss. He was referred to as the "Old God of Death" and is the 3rd to die and 2nd one we the players faced with the first being C'thun in Ahn'qiraj in original WoW. There was an extra 14th boss that was way harder than the others, you had to unlock him by beating 4 specific "Keeper" bosses on their Hard Modes. He was Algalon the Observer, a magical AI construct known as a "Constellar" left by the Titans to report planets and target them for "reorigination" by the Titans and he was A MOTHERFUCKER. While I missed out on the orignal 2009 version of him in OG Wrath, I had the honor of tanking the 2023 version in Classic Wrath and he fucking hurt. He is an appropriate challenge when your guild or god forbid PUG raid has all their best in slot shit on. He is an absolute gear check. If they ever do another run of Classic Wrath (as it's already Cataclysm now sadly...) do yourself a favor, get to 80 in Wrath and experience the Ulduar raid tier. Not sure about Endwalker, I know these companies borrow each other's shit from time to time. Karesh being destroyed by Dimensius was mentioned in Burning Crusade quests in 2007. I know Yoshi P said he was heavily inspired by Cataclysm when they were making FF14. All of these fantasy games really pull from something before them and bounce stuff back and forth. We were kind of pissed that they one for one ripped some character from you guys' game to make that stupid "Jailer Zovaal" from Shadowlands. With Metzen back people are hoping they'll do something decent with the story again. BFA - Shadowlands really made a lot of people mad and lose faith in the writing, we shall see. Honestly everything borrows from real world mythology, H.P. Lovecraft, Tolkien, D&D and Warhammer in that order. To me it's all about whether the execution is good or not. Here's another example of some of the trailers you've missed. Sometimes the "Features Trailers or Annoucnement Trailers" give more actual idea of what's going on that the cinematic intros. ua-cam.com/video/w2IvDjY3CtQ/v-deo.html Another bit of info Telogrus Rift is an area added for void elves when they were added as an "Allied Race" at the end of Legion. Until that point new races were mostly an expansion feature and from the last patch of Legion onwards we started getting them as patch features instead and they were like reskinned but using the same animation models as older races. People asked for years for "sub-races" because there are all kinds of varieties we've encountered that people want over the years so we got those.
Appreciate the much support and answering all this homie lol, I'll definitely add these trailers to the list of stuff I need to watch so thanks! The aspects honestly sound more like the nations in avatar the last air bender, but glad you explained that dragon in stormwind because that threw me for a loop, but it is good that these expansions aren't too heavily connected till about WOD you said? Since I gotta push forward, I'm thinking I'll do more so old raid runs and the general exploring stuff but I really can't complete every quest like I originally wanted....that make take 50yrs 😆
@@lordderecho Not a problem man, and your journey so far has been awesome to watch. There's this weird thing with some WoW players where we like seeing fresh perspectives and people seeing it for the first time. I'd say just chip away at whatever expansion seems the coolest. They CAN stand alone for the most part.
Yo I got another big ass comment with information dumps and some explanations for stuff you were confused by. Let me know if you have like a community Discord ever and you can ask me anything, don't worry I won't dump shitloads of info on you unless you ask a specific thing. lol Edit: It'll probably be 2 comments lol
Haha you good homie, ya I'll probably make a discord community when reach like 5k subs, still a bit too small for that and I pretty much can respond to all comments so far since I'm still small
There is no point in skipping cutscenes from previous expansions since that conent is no longer relevant to do. A lot of these cutscenes are also from old endgame content which you wont be able to do again, at least not in the same manner as when they came out. You missed the previous expansions, so the best you can do is to watch all the cinematics to get a grasp of where we currently are. WoW expansions are sequels of the previous ones, so you playing the latest one is like watching the last avengers movie before the previous ones. When new stuff releases in WoW, the old stuff becomes irrelevant and skipped. But honestly, do whatever what suits you.
Ya I hope one day blizzard fixes all this but I'm probably gonna stay the course and continue to watch stuff on UA-cam
In game cutscenes show the game off when you have maxed out graphics. It looks stunning at full ultra mode.
Ya I'll get there one day lol
Also you should take the addon off... ask when you ask main characters questions you get the voice acting, which is bugged by the addon text you use.
Ahhh so that's what's causing that, I see
Also a better graphics card... with full draw distance on, when you go to Dalaran you should see all the Broken Isles around you.
Yes that's the next major thing on my list!!
Happy Birthday, hope all is well. You should treat yourseld and get a 1440p 32" screen, as WOW looks so much sweeter. Plus a ray tracing card for the new lighting model.
Haha thanks homie!! And in due time, you know it!!!
Leader of the cult with green eyes was Kel'thuzad.
Ya I realized that while editing lol how did I miss that😅😅
You should see " Warcraft III fan movie: Jaina and Arthas " from "AmazingRogue Cosplay" channel on UA-cam. This underrated video is based on cosplay and shows a short part of Arthas' youth before Warcraft 3. I hope you like it. ❤ (Book source : Arthas Rise of the Lich King)
Ohh nice I'll give it a look, thanks!
The different trainers don't really matter much now. They were Class Trainers for the 3 different schools of Death Knight abilities. Blood/Frost/Unholy just like their talent specs. You used to come back to your trainer every 2 levels or so and spend gold to learn abilities but that's not really a thing anymore for several expansions now.
Ahhh I gotcha lol
The battle wasn't bugged, it's set on a timer as they didn't have the "Scenario system" from Mists of Pandaria yet in 2008 so it's weird and you just gotta wait. Lore wise it doesn't make sense for you to turn in the quest to Anduin Wrynn because at the time of Wrath when this takes place he's just a kid. Ideally if you did this during actual Wrath or Wrath Classic you'd turn it in to Varian Wrynn. It also doesn't make sense that it's the CATACLYSM VERSION of Stormwind. So you cannot get Corrupted Ashbringer anymore in Modern WoW. Unless it appears on the Black Market Auction House I'm not sure if it's even on there. If it was that's like GOLD CAP usually when they put a previously unobtainable item up on the BMAH. At any rate it was from the vanilla version of the final raid from vanilla WoW which was a 40 player level 60 raid called Naxxramas. Old Naxxramas was removed in Wrath of the Lich King in 2008 because it was reused in Wrath as a 10 or 25 player level 80 raid with some tweaks and one boss was changed because that boss's story changed and he was the one that had Corrupted Ashbringer. Now people who got it back in the day still have it in their bank/bags. So, in the 6th expansion Legion in 2016 they had these "Class Order Halls" with specific quest chains and "Class Fantasy/Class Identity" was a big theme of that expansion so every spec got an "Artifact Weapon" they carried for all of Legion. Then at the end of the expansion through certain events we sacrificed the power of those Artifact Weapons to nullify the corruption in Sargeras's sword in Silithus. If I remember right they let people know early on the Artifact Weapons were only during that expansion but I mention this for two specific reasons. Xal'atath, Blade of the Black Empire was the Shadow Priest's Artifact Weapon, she was a dagger. You might know that one already however, Retribution Paladins got the Ashbringer and IF YOU ALREADY HAD Corrupted Ashbringer from back in the day you could get a special quest to get an upgraded appearance for Corrupted Ashbringer AS the Artifact Weapon. Pretty sure that was limited time you might check that out later. Still kind of badass though either way. The reason the raid was reused is because it came out at the ASS END of original WoW like just a few months before BC hit in January 2007. So like nobody got to see it practically, I think they said like less than 4% of the playerbase even saw Naxx in vanilla. It also fit the story of Wrath, and literally the canon reason it's in Wrath is that we DID raid it story wise in vanilla, but it got recalled before we fully cleared it (that's the idea) and most of the undead/constructs in it were resurrected by the LK himself. If you wanted to see original Naxx you'd have to play Classic Era, even Cataclysm Classic wouldn't have it because that's after the world revamp from Cata 2010 and also like I said before it was removed in Wrath. It also will be a "current" raid again in Season of Discovery Classic probably by next year. If you're not sure what SoD is it's a redo of vanilla but with some changes and content that was never originally there. Like you get Runes on your gear that give you abilities from other expansions or even . Last little bit of Scourge lore you might not know is in the Warcraft 3 expansion The Frozen Throne Illidan attacked The Frozen Throne and The Lich King before Arthas had merged with Ner'zhul by putting the helm on. This damaged Ner'zhul which is why LK lost control of a large chunk of the Scourge which regained their will and basically the identities of who they were before they were undead and became The Forsaken. What happens here is similar. The power of the Ashbringer did the same thing to the Knights of the Ebon Blade and when Darion tossed it to Tirion it instantly purified it. Frostmourne was such a badass lore heavy weapon that there were huge debates and everyone pretty much agreed no player should ever get it. So they did an ENTIRE comic series about The Ashbringer to set it's lore up so it could be the weapon that shatters Frostmourne during the fight with The Lich King at Icecrown Citadel.
Oh wow, thanks bro, man that's crazy! Though I expected once arthas and ner'zhul became one, that damage would heal but guess not, really shows how powerful illidan is when I think about it. I also need to check out that naxx raid, i heard good things about it from the community, ya I played a bit of sod and had a blast, I need to hope back into it since I stopped in darkshire
@@lordderecho Yeah I had like 7 level 25's in SoD all geared from the raid, it was really casual friendly and accessible because of the low level needed for the raid. Which apparently people s till do the Blackfathom Deeps raid in SoD because it gives a shitload of XP. We've never had a "level up" raid in WoW. Raids are always level cap end game only usually. I wish I had stuck around for the level 40/50/60 Phases 2, 3 and 4. I heard 2 and 3 were kinda bad so I didn't level past 25 when they increased the cap. I can't imagine Gnomeregan and Sunken Temple as 10 man raids lol Do you stream or have a community Discord yet? Was gonna say if you have any questions I'm happy to help out.
Damn you forgot to equip the shoulders 😂
Awww man 😅😅
Old stuff gets bugged when they level squish and change the starting level for the hero classes such as DK. Dks were originally starting at level 55 when the max level was 80 back in wrath but now they start at 10.
Ohh ok, wow that's a huge level change😳
I dont think you can get corrupted ashbringer, It drops from Vanilla Naxxramas but Paladins might get the skin for Artifact weapons but im not sure.
Corrupted ashbringer was only obtainable from the old naxxramas raid back in vanilla > tbc before it got changed in wotlk
The skin was a hidden quest for people who still had their Corrupted Ashbringer in Legion's Artifact/Order Hall Systems if I remember right.
@@Jessethoth You are right but its a different model not the one which Mograine wields. The shape is around the same and its covered with skulls and its still obtainable.
Ahh I see, thanks bro!
2:19 there is a vendor on one of the balcony's in Acherus (i forgot which one) but its the dude walking around on one and he sells you the mount for 750-800g
Oh awesome homie, thanks!!!
I did this list to kind of help you a bit, hopefully it wasn't too much, if you need good stuff to react to I know a lot that could help you and if you're ever confused about lore or game mechanics I got ya covered, I stream under this name on Twitch and am happy to help, it's awesome watching new people figure out WoW and Warcraft, there's a lot here to enjoy for sure, good luck on that Tier 2 man!
Oh naw your good homie, appreciate the help navigating in this game! Makes the experience easier, oh cool I didn't know you stream, I'll definitely pop in one of these days!
Problem: You had rez sickness and broken gear, MAYBE scaling bugs too. The vehicle system was a new feature at the time of Wrath of the Lich King and there were a few other things working against you here. So vehicles scale off your item level and stats on your gear and TEHCNICALLY the Frost Wyrm here counts as a "Vehicle". You had the Resurrection Sickness debuff from rezzing at the Spirit Healer, gotta wait for that to fall off. Also your gear was entirely broken, all red. Another issue MIGHT be that this starting area was designed with the old level ranges back when DK's used to start at level 55 in Wrath in 2008. Not sure it scales since the Shadowlands level squish in 2020 where they took the old 1-120 levels and squished them to 1-50 but since War Within or Dragonflight there might be a bug where it's scaling real hard as this area and this vehicle system were made in 2008 for Wrath so that could be fuckin it up. When you go back to Outland you're still playing War Within just questing in Outland. Having abilities from all the expansions some of the mobs and quests can be wonky AF or sometimes you just OP them. One of the biggest strengths of WoW is also one of it's biggest weaknesses. There is SO MUCH SHIT from old expansions that the pile up is unmanagable but people also don't want them to remove things so really old shit like the DK start zone from 2008 falls into disrepair. I will say those ballistae hit hard as fuck even back in the day. You really wanna fly higher and try to strafe left or right constantly and turn while doing that to circle them basically. Their shots will have to travel further that way. And yeah about the hanging corpses. Warcraft and Diablo used to be brutal as fuck man. In Diablo 1 there was a room with a bunch of naked hacked up people where you fought the Butcher and I remember the waypoint marker for undead in Warcraft 3 was a severed head on a pike. It's funny they went for T for Teen with WoW so they could market it better but the old Warcraft RTS games were M for Mature if I remember right. So story wise this starting area you're in takes place DURING Wrath of the Lich King in that "pocket of time" so to speak. Even during Wrath when this was new in 2008 it didn't make sense that you would hit level 58 by the end of this zone then suddenly go to do Outland when BC was the prior expansion as Northrend and Wrath's main story started at level 68. It was fun AF though cos DKs could OP the old BC dungeons even in Wrath. The death knights here are considered "Second generation" death knights made by the Lich King/Scourge/Plague of Undeath they're from Warcraft 3/WoW-Wrath time period The OG DKs from Warcraft 2 were made when Gul'dan put the spirits of dead orc warlocks into the rotten bodies of leftover Knights of Azeroth (Stormwind) from Warcraft 1 during Warcraft 2 and you even meet one in Outland during some quests. He's the very first the original Gul'dan made (not the alternate universe Warlords of Draenor Gul'dan). He was a boss in Black Temple as well. Another interesting bit about playable DKs in WoW is that it wouldn't make sense for races added in later expansions way after Wrath to start there as that took place DURING that time so some of the Allied Races and later races got death knights at the end of BFA in 2018 I think patch 8.3. So they did a different start for them where you're at Icecrown Citadel after Bolvar is already the new Lich King.
Gonna do the release list so you can get an idea of how old the continents/worlds are it might help you on your journey of learning to compartmentalize lore and feature releases and shit: 2002/2003 Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos and The Frozen Throne expansion 2004 World of Warcraft (Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor only available in Classic Era now) Level 60 2007 The Burning Crusade expansion (Outland which is Draenor after it was torn apart at the end of Warcraft 2 thanks to Ner'zhul) Level 70 2008 Wrath of the Lich King (Northrend which honestly was the conclusion to a 7 year cliffhanger from Warcraft 3) Level 80 2010 Cataclysm (Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor revamped with Flight space for flying mounts, this is when a lot of the devs just started pulling obscure old lore out of their asses cos they didn't know where to go after they tied up the loose ends of Warcraft 3) This was the hyped expansion that didn't meet the hype, some good, some bad, the old zones PERMANENTLY changed and thousands of vanilla quests were removed and are only in the 2019 Classic version now) Level 85 2012 Mists of Pandaria (Pandaria, this was NOT based on a joke like people say, there WAS a canon pandaren in Warcraft 3 TFT's last campaign named Chen Stormstout, he was always a canon character, one of the artists drew the concept of a samurai panda in like 1999 so that's a good 6 years BEFORE Kung Fu Panda but yeah they capitalized on the idea sure) This is the expansion most players dreaded yet ironically delivered unlike Cataclysm which was the opposite) Level 90 2014 Warlords of Draenor (Draenor, Went back in time but ALSO to an alternate reality to a Draenor almost identical to the one that became Outland, but since it's an alternate one 35 years in the past it doesn't change the history of Outland Draenor and we often call this one AU Draenor or Iron Draenor, they had a ton of good ideas, they scrapped half of them and didn't do them, the theme was old school orcs & humans style Warcraft calling back to Warcraft 2, it wasn't executed well and they kinda pulled out on the expansion and just used it to facilitate Legion, people had too hard of a time comprehending an alternate reality in the past connecting to the main reality in the present, it was really just an excuse to see WC2 era Draenor but from the PoV of WoW instead of a 1995 RTS game from DOS) Level 100 2016 Legion (Broken Isles, this area was featured in WC2 and WC3, it was hella different all 3 times, it was mostly just an island in those two games but they set out the idea that we only went to ONE part of the islands in the area and so we got it as a new "continent", Legion was HYPE AF, some people hated the start because grinding power for the Artifact Weapons was a bitch and getting your Legion Legendaries was a bitch, I started it late in 7.3 so all the catch up mechanics were there and I didn't go through the pain of the 7.0 patch grinds I loved it personally) Level 110 2018 Battle for Azeroth (Kul Tiras and Zandalar, two zones we'd seen on maps and in promotional posters and artwork for years, they had been in instruction booklets for Warcraft 3 or WoW can't remember which or if both, we asked and asked about these zones for years and were given spin answers in Cataclysm, they teased Zandalari as they were in vanilla for one of the catch up raids as quest givers, they returned and were enemies in Cataclysm and we fought them in Mists of Pandaria when they reawakened The Thunder King who was a raid boss in one of the raid patches, we finally got them as a playable race for Horde, they heavily referenced Wakanda from Black Panther and let trolls be paladins which a lot of people find weird, halfway through the story took a weird split and we dealt with an Old God named N'zoth in the 8.3 patch but it started as a heavy Horde vs Alliance story, they kind of tried to tell two expansion stories in one and it went poorly, also did another "Artifact Item system with the Heart of Azeroth, just like the Artifact Weapon from Legion it became a useless paper weight in the next expansion) Level 120 2020 Shadowlands (The Shadowlands, Despite seeing the Shadowlands before in quests and it being more less like a spirit realm but a reflection of the same zones and worlds from all the expansions this time they made it another dimension with new lands entirely, the "Afterlives", started with strong ideas, it was marketed almost like "Wrath of the Lich King 2" unfortunately due to shit going on in 2020 it didn't play out that way and like Warlords they cut a lot of stuff out of it they had planned, they were going to call back to other factions we had met and all kinds of stuff and it didn't happen, this is when they did THE LEVEL SQUISH, they had done a stat squish in Warlords, an item level and stat squish in BFA and in Shadowlands they did all 3, character level 120 became 50 and the new 50-60 was Shadowlands itself, it also kind of had nostalgia being 60 again and item level ranges for raiding and endgame were very similar to Wrath era ilvls, like 200/213/226 etc) Level 60 2022 Dragonflight (Dragon Isles, another place that appeared way back in early WoW development and it's name was mentioned many times and it was teased for literally a couple of decades at this point, first time I didn't hit max level in a WoW expansion, I hear it was good, the story was a bit Disney for me but the Dragonflights themselves had good stories, they did tie up some things and do good shit for the dragon characters, there were cool new loose story threads they spun out to expand on later here, I saw some of it just not all of it, didn't do a single dungeon or raid that expansion 2024+ The War Within (Khaz Algar, the first part in the World Soul Saga which is bold AF and I'm really happy Chris Metzen is back, he's like the godfather of TONS of lore since Warcraft 2 and he voices like....everyone, he voices Thrall, Varian, Ragnaros, a shitload of generic NPCs, Nefarian tons of other named characters and hell he even voiced shit for Diablo, Starcraft and Overwatch, really talented dude in my opinion and so far he seems to be steering WoW back on the right course, War Within is my favorite expansion since what little of Legion I got to play and the future for WoW looks pretty badass, I'm back in it full force with my wife and a bunch of our friends and streamer friends Note: The earliest point you can start in chronological story timeline is Outland for questing, you might not find people doing the Group Quests and you won't do those original raids at level because the scaling systems that were added years later and also because nobody is running that content anymore. Even if you found a bunch of people to do it at the appropriate level to match BC equivalent the skills and talents that were added, changed or removed not to mention classes that weren't from that actual expansion like death knights, monks, demon hunters (despite being in the lore in the game as non playable characters at the time) and evokers all that shit is so different especially with like 9 expansions and 17 years of expansions that it's not it's actual difficulty level, some fights or mechanics might not even work right anymore and might even have tons of bugs You got the right idea going back and OPing old raids like Blackwing Lair is from 2005 vanilla WoW, we all make speed run builds and gear sets for that, that's sadly the fate of all raids until they do something better with Timewalking, we do have Black Temple from BC, Ulduar from Wrath and Firelands from Cata as "Timewalking Raids" where you do them and get scaled down, but still with new talents, skills and classes it sometimes gets slaughtered, some fights are harder or easier than the original and it's not perfect, what is cool is you get Timewarped gear from that version and when you come back to present it's like good gear you'd get from higher dungeons or at least entry level raid gear, the only way to see the pre-Cataclysm version of Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor is to play Classic Era or if you had caught Classic Burning Crusade or Classic Wrath, the main run of Classic is already back up to Cataclysm after the world change, you could still play on Classic Era but some of those servers are dead because they already raided their way through all the re-release patches in the "Phases" they did and are waiting for a "fresh start", Hardcore is rough cos you die you lose your guy, Season of Discovery is a fun experiment but isn't true vanilla as it has Runes that give originally cancelled abilities or altered versions of abilities from later expansions and has content and areas that neither vanilla or the expansions had Classic Era is the only way you'll see 40 level 60s taking on Ragnaros in Molten Core or Nefarian in BWL or currently in Cataclysm Classic 10 or 25 level 85's taking on Nefarian (again) in Blackwing Descent which was like a sequel raid to Blackwing Lair, really hoping for Mists of Pandaria Classic myself cos I got to 90 then sat out the expansion cos I was a raging hater at the time, played at the ass end and only did Raid Finder versions of the raids and regretted not being in a guild, I was hyped again for Cataclysm Classic but it kind of lost me this time, it's love/hate for Cata honestly, it is funny that Molten Core's final boss from vanilla, Ragnaros is gonna be a current boss again in 3 versions of WoW, In Season of Discovery or SoD he's the big boss right now as Motlen Core is a current raid in that, in Cataclysm Firelands is coming out which is where we had the rematch with him in his own dimension, and in the 20 year anniversary event in Modern, The War Within patch 11.0.5 on the 20th will have him as the final boss of a raid version of Blackrock Depths (normally a 5 man dungeon)
Man, there's really alot to this game lol, thanks for the awesome list homie, gonna reread this one so it really sinks in! But ya I'm learning more and more that I can't really experience things like you guys did so I'm structuring things to more so of: watch more lore videos and start TWW. I still plan on questing through the old expansions bc the questing really is enjoyable in this game, get mounts and mogs from the raids and dungeons. And thanks for the lore on the original dks, never knew they were orc warlocks, though lt they could have been knights from the early games or something lol, they seem to be my favorite class but then again I haven't played all classes yet:p
@@lordderecho DKs are wild man, they were always kind of OP too, especially in Wrath. Really hoping for another run of BC Classic cos I missed the one from 2021. That video from Hidden Azeroth I told ya about will set things in order, cos there's SO MUCH shit to learn in this.
Love your uploads man, hyped to see you get into TWW!
I can't wait to see him do AT LEVEL shit while it is current content. I'm open to play Horde or Alliance too so just hit me up if you need a tank or healer, I can do like any role
Thanks homie! Ya I'm thinking of just hoping into TWW once I'm leveled up and just continue to watch videos for the past expansions while farming for all those cool mounts and mogs
@@lordderecho That's mostly what people do farm for achievements, mogs, mounts, sometimes there's a fun pet or toy item too. Like you get a thing that lets you teleport back to Northrend Dalaran when you do the Shadowmourne questline for ICC.
It amazes me how you turn a simple thing into an impossible one :D I didn't even knew that damaged gear affects the quest wyrm... that's something only a non-WoW player would discover ^^
Very true

I don't mean this in any harm way, but I thought I was the only black guy who played wow. I love this game so much.
Haha naw and why would you think that's harmful?😆
@@lordderecho Gotta be cautious online. People be taking things the wrong way

Thanks! I thinks it looks like poo poo but trying to get better at doing this stuff lol
Yeah the bright things you thought might be batteries or a power source are sentient beings basically made out of holy light.
Ahh interesting 🤔 thanks!
The ashbringer was not obtainable until legion 2016 (when everyone got it for free, sucks imo). In the vanilla version of the game there was a note that said that the ashbringer was in the water, so many people started fishing in hopes of catching it. My guess is that the last scene is a reference to that. Btw you should check out the lore behind the ashbringer, it's so good
Wow really? They just gave it to everyone? Ya that's truly lame lol but ahhh I see, ya they should have had players diving, searching for it, at least that would have been better, it should be a quest line where you had to gather and piece together clues to get a possible location
@@lordderecho Yeah, if you just follow the paladin quest line in legion you'll get it

Caverns of Time: Cullng of Stratholme, dungeon from Wrath of the Lich King where you literally go back in time to THAT mission from Warcraft 3's human campaign and replay the events but from the perspective of WoW to stop the Infinite Dragonflight from altering the past. To be fair the REASON for the books was a good enough one AT FIRST... They needed to retell the 90s games Warcraft 1 and 2 because 3 and WoW were so much later and so different and retconned tiny bits in their instruction booklets, flashbacks and dialogue that it needed a clearer more concise retelling. Especially considering some of the missions between the Human/Orc or Alliance/Horde campaigns took place in spite of one another, like had alternate variations and stories. This is really severe with the campaign endings in 1 and 2 where you get endings that would completely contradict each other. It wasn't until 2's expansion and 3 that they started to tell stories that BOTH fit one linear timeline. So they go back and make books after WoW is already a thing to retell that. The fucky part is when they started using books between expansions and telling stories that link the expansions but don't get summarized in game. If ONLY they would summarize the books in game once the new expansion is out but you know how it is...money...gotta make that sell.
Ahh so that's the main reason, ya it does make sense and oh wow, there's actually a Strathmore dungeon!? Gotta try that!😯
@@lordderecho Yeah so you got the original 2004 WoW Stratholme which is it in "current" time or at least in vanilla's time. Then in Wrath there's the Caverns of Time version which is Culling of Stratholme. Like I said before you go back in time and replay that Warcraft 3 mission but from WoW's perspective as a 5 man dungeon and make sure events go the same way and he doesn't get assassinated by the Infinite Dragonflight.
I need a series!
