Is 1.5 yards big enough to make the 18 inches doll cape with good. How did you measure to get the right sizes for each piece of the hooded cape need some help thanks I want to make one myself for my custom boy doll I was gonna do red one let me know thanks 😃🎄
1.5 yards is plenty big- even 1 yard is more than enough. To get the measurements, I really just experimented. To cut, I measured with a ruler, folded over where I needed to cut and then cut so that my scissor is on the fold between the 2 folds of fabric. - Length: I wanted a cape about 11" long for my 18" doll and then I added an inch for the sewing (the 11" length is to go from shoulders to bottom). I once make a shorter red cape for a red-riding hood costume so it is really up to you depending on the look you want. Hood: is extra deep; you can pin and see if you like it, trim if you like it smaller or shallower. And if you don't necessarily want the hood, be sure to see my no-sew cape which I am very fond of: ua-cam.com/video/CzGkz5pzjqI/v-deo.html I mentioned I had made a red cape for a red-riding costume and it looked fantastic. I bet yours will look great! Don't hesitate to ask if you have other questions!

How long is the pipecleaner please
Hi Abbie, I used a 12" pipe cleaner; this is the size commonly found in a pack of pipe cleaners from craft stores. The measurement does not be exact, and you will overlap a bit to close the circle. so the finished crown is about 11". Thank you for the question and watching my video!

How did you make the head?
It is a "head bead" that you can get at crafts stores. Be sure to get one with a large hole- regular wood beads have holes that are too small to fit over a clothes pin; head beads are made especially to fit over clothespin. You can literally search for "headbead" or "head bead" at Michales or other craft stores. Because I really wanted to make furniture for my doll but didn't want to have to saw or hammer, and since these chair were done during the pandemic when in-person shopping was not allowed, I had to get really creative!
