Justcpnotspecial
Приєднався 12 кві 2020
My name is Cayetana and I am a disability advocate. I was born with cerebral palsy (CP) , the umbilical cord wrapped around my neck and I lost oxygen to my brain. Having CP has not stopped me from doing everything I wanted, ever since I was little my mother never treated me any differently than my sisters. I grew up with the attitude of "yes, I can," I was a determined kid.
I started an Instagram and TikTok account called “Justcpnotspecial” just a few months ago to bring my awareness about CP and the individuals, like me, who live with it. My hope is to broadening your minds to the different challenges faced by
persons with disabilities.
I’m currently working on opening my website to tell my story and my goal is to be an example and help young persons like me, with CP, in every way I can so that they can achieve their goals and personal satisfaction. I want to tell them never to be ashamed to show who you are because you are you and that is perfect.

Putting on makeup with CP
It took me lots of practice doing my own makeup, my sister would always do it for me until we went to college. When started dating, I started doing my own makeup hahaha know that don't need makeup to look beautiful but it makes me feel extra glamorous. I would go to #Sephora and they would teach me about the products really needed. I don't wear eyeliner because would poke my eye out hahaha. If mess up, I can wash it off and try again! It's a fun challenge.

New Zealand is the adventure capital of the world so I couldn’t leave without visiting the AJHackett team at the Auckland Sky Tower and completing the Skywalk challenge. Stepping outside of your comfort zone physically and mentally as well as challenging yourself is what the AJHACKETT team is all about. Whether you have a disability or not, they want to help you fear less and live more!
climbing a fence with cerebral palsy

My sister and I were walking around One Tree Hill checking out sheeps and cows. Suddenly, she said to me “let’s get over the fence to get a closer look at the cows!” all the fences had a little step to climb back and forth into the paddocks. It definitely looked easy, but it wasn’t lol. Once I managed to climb over, I was ready to stay with the cows forever. Some of the easiest tasks can be a c...
Buttons and Cerebral Palsy

When you have cerebral palsy, you face a lot of challenges. Some of the easiest tasks for someone can be one of the hardest for someone with CP. Buttons are a pain in the neck for me, usually I avoid buying clothes with buttons but sometimes I can’t avoid it because I’m a fashionista after all. I recently bought this awesome tool called the “Button Hook” and it works great! In high school, I av...
cerebral palsy and filling up my tank
Переглядів 4,1 тис.2 роки тому
When I bought my first car, I was so happy and feeling so independent. Even though I could drive and had a car, It was difficult for me to fill up my tank because of the payment method. I had trouble sliding in my credit card and removing it really fast. So, I would coordinate with my mom or sister to meet me at the gas station which they always made time to help me but I was depending on them....
cerebral palsy & able

Just because I have cerebral palsy, it doesn’t mean I’m disabled. It doesn’t mean that I’m the one that always needs help. I admit there’s things that are difficult for me to do and sometimes I ask for help but I also love helping others. I always take my neighbor to her doctor’s appointment and anything else she needs help with. I’m happy to help because I’m very ABLE to help. #cerebralpalsy #...

My nephew, Andres, was visiting me from Peru. We’re one year apart in age and we’re very close. I was born with cerebral palsy and he had a neuroblastoma when he was born. Last year he came to visit me for the first time and I remember people would ask us how we were going to manage alone!! I always answered very confident “we’ll manage“ haha but we doubted ourselves for a second. We just neede...

Fantastic
I have cerebral palsy todo you have muscle spasms in your legs to and if you do what medication do you take.
I know exactly what you mean about muscles getting tense when being around or in front of people and becoming a walking stiff. I'm a right side hemi, and when in college, I had to take a speech class. I was so freaked out about the act of giving my first assigned speech that I couldn't even begin to think of a topic. Then it dawned on me... I'll do a speech on living with CP! Having intimate knowledge of the subject matter gave me the confidence to settle in and make it interesting. I have to say that speech was the first step in coming out of my anxiety shell. Now, at 56, I could care less what people think. There is still the rare occasion where my anxiety peaks in public, but coping mechanisms come with age and experience. They will for you too. So keep on facing your fears head on. You'll be just fine!
i wonder if you would grab a pull up bar with ur hands and hang for 10-20 sec or how long u can u maybe get a better control/feeling for it? 5 times per day to see if something changes you down for trying it out? xD
where she learn the sexy posing while climbing?

Omg! I thought it was just the escalator ride😂
You are a beautiful lady. Never let what others think stop you from doing whatever you want to do.
Beautiful lady
Greetings from Switzerland! I'm in the photography and videography industry so I see lots of make-up artists on and around the stages I call my office. Cayetana, you're doing an amazing work there! By the way, you have a natural beauty so, I wouldn't put too much of that Vitamin C thing you use at the beginning of the video. I mean, you're already glowing like the sun we don't want you to shine more the the moon at night. Take care and thank you for your videos and TikTok contents.
Happy Valentine’s Day sweetie
YOU ARE AWESOME!!!!!!
