Collapsible Steering Column Sensor Ford Explorer - B0005:13 airbag code - location and replacement
Quick video showing location and sequence of disassembly to get to the collapsible steering column sensor. This is a sensor that was new for me and I had to do a little digging to get some information on. There are services on Ebay that will reset these for you but I found that the OEM sensor itself was cheaper on Ebay. Just make sure the part numbers match.

Thanks for your video 👍
Negative first
One of the best tutorial video on youtube. straight to the point
how much does a mechanic shop charge ?
No le pasa si se la quito así normal
Wow - DO NOT FOLLOW THIS GUYS INSTRUCTIONS BLINDLY... putting hands, arms, even the head under a car thats only supported by a ROADSIDE EMERGENCY JACK???? No stands?? This is an example why some instructional videos on UA-cam can be very dangerous or even life-threatening. And no, its no excuse saying that its "obvious", because people watching this may not have experience, and will just blindly follow the instructions (as the video should allow for).
Bruh o tried to clean this before watching and I burned my hand😍
Se me fue la radio
You didn't even show it working
Thanks. I’m gonna order some right now lol
I havent tried it yet but i was abke to quickly identify he probelm i've been having, thank you so much for the tutorial (as an aspiring artist)
Thank you so much because I've looked everywhere on the internet to find this. Wonderful job!
You're very welcome!
Muchas gracias. Me estaba volviendo loco para soltarlo sin estropear nada . Eskerrik asko 👌
For the drivers side sensor port pressing down on the wire clip released the wire HOWEVER on the passenger side I found it necessary to lift up and remove the clip as he did in this video. 2012 C250---drivers side one sensor port wire on passenger side two port wires--Brake pad indicator AND speed sensor.
Why is there two sensors on the front right and one on other wheels?
I think there is only one per wheel. The other cable might be for the pad thickness sensor.
Appreciate your instruction
Omg thank you so much your like the only UA-cam tutorial, I could find that actually help me put it back together and clean it Tysm! I was stuck for like three hours trying to put back together you really saved me you just got a like and a sub!
Thanks for the video. I was afraid that replacing the centre belt was going to be an ugly job and you've confirmed it. That's a torx bit with the six points.
Haha
I changed my cars light but still it’s showing error message. Any tips for me to fix it 😢
It might have different voltage Check they were the same reference that had before
I got the right one. But now I can’t find dim beams led bulbs.
I actually just learned on UA-cam you want to do one thick coat of goo gone wait 15 minutes do another thick coat of goo gone wait 15 minutes and then apply a third coat and it should just wipe right off apparently
Well explained. Thanks from Punjab India God Bless You
My pleasure
Do you have a link for the part
No. You can try any autoparts store, ebay, amazon, etc.
Thanks, it works
Wish they were the same in the front... Fkn pain in the ass to change
What size bulb is it
You the man bro... Been trying to wash car seat covers but can't get the top one off because of that damn thing.
Good job!
Thanks for the video!!
You bet!
Thanks🦋🦋
Very good
Just found out (3/24) a Mercedes battery cannot be off market, cannot registration reset.
What do you mean cannot registration reset?
Love it straight to the point, no messing around. Thank you my man
What grade engine oil did you use for this ?
I dont remember..
You are the first person who explains each step by actually doing it. Instead, I took it off already, then video tape it like I want to see how you do it 😅 great video
Thanks you so much. 😅
Is it expensive the sensor ?
About $60 I think?
Thanks. I figured that’s all there was to it, but wanted to make sure. 😁
Thanks for mentioning the O rings on that air adjustment shaft. That’s where my air is leaking. Hoping to hear your tool hum. How does it run?
Do you need a battery Saver plugged in when you change the battery?
Not even sure what that is. I never used one whatever that is.
Thanks so much for the well explained repair video. I have had a Bostik 260 since January 1983. That's when they were made in Montreal, Canada. Same problem you indicated and will follow your guidelines. Hope it works.
This is a lifesaver… before ruining the entire retainer. Thanks much!
Super easy to follow video! Greatly helpful
Hello, How often should you change gear oil in a 2 stroke zuma 50? Thanks so much
Not sure, maybe someone else can help
@@sergytsema not that hard of a question… how often you change yours. Seems like you ride a lot
Thank you for the video, good information, what is the part number for the sensor and where can i buy it?
I bought mine on ebay. As far as part number, im not going to try to provide, they might be difgerent for your car. Best thing to do is to take out the one you have and check.
10mm nuts requiring 10mm sockets, well played Mercedes. Well played. Like anyone still has 10mm sockets.
Literally all I was missing 🤣
Is there a danger of the car losing memory when the battery is removed with the car turned off? I really need clarification on this, someone please...
Your clock and radio may need to be reset but I dont think itll mess with much else.
Helpful and a relaxing video. Big W
Never in 25 years of working on auto electrical systems has it ever been sensible or safe to touch a positive terminal Not only putting yourself at risk but an expensive repair to the vehicle too
Thankyou!!!
