Chaos Dragons Deck Profile Link Format (August 2017)
I don't intend for the game to go past turn 0 so tempo doesn't matter to me that much.
chancellor of the dross tribal?
You should do more theory videos. You do an excellent job of laying out the info. Thank you!!
where is 3.0 with moon-circuit hacker? or does that change your vision for this deck at all?
I've stopped making videos for now, but an updated version would definitly include 2-3 moon-circuit hacker :) id probably go down to 3 moonblade for it and cut an of one mind, if it turns out to be good probably also cutting a sunken city I havent played pauper in a pretty long time though so my takes aren't based on current format knowledge
Ty
I would like more this kind of content with some examples of how games can turn out to be winning or losing based on tempo (in this case)
I love your inclusion of blood moon. With the way storm is positioned right now, what do you think of slotting out your Remands for Bolts? Just so you can have a non yard dependent means of taking out the opponent?
Hey, thanks! If you look at my list from the times where Ragavan decks were the most played archetype, I was running 3 bolts main to deal with ragavan and channeler, as well as being an alternate win condition as you say. However, with the current format revolving around creativity and cascade, I think that remand is a lot better positioned than bolt. I would still run 2-3 bolts in the side though.
You should do a video like this on midrange, you explained tempo perfectly. I always thought it delt with timing lol midrange is another one I never fully understand exactly what it is
thanks for the suggestion! glad you enjoyed the video :)
nice
Hope you a day can do a video like this but for Gods Unchained.
glad you enjoyed! while i used magic examples in this video, the concepts i talked about can be applied to most card games
100th like! Thanks for the explanation, kinda important to know what tempo is when building a tempo deck.
glad you liked the video! im surprised its still being recommended to people after such a long time haha
Why Consider/Serum Visions over Opt?
serum visions gives you the most card selection out of any cantrip, and consider is strictly better than opt because it puts cards in grave instead of under your deck
Why only 3 Goblins?
in the current meta there is so much removal for small creatures that they will usually have a removal for your second 2 drop as well thats why you mostly dont want to draw multiples of the bears, and run 7 instead of 8
If you play blood moon, you should definitely play the split of snow/normal islands. You can gifts for island, Snow island, manamorphose + anything to have a guaranteed blue on next turn
agree! the upside becomes bigger with bloodmoon in the deck
That's a cool shirt you have in your thumbnail mister!
I hear a lot of attractive people wear this shirt
This is why I love storm it’s one of those decks that can hold up in some form or fashion in any meta
also very cheap to pick up and play compared to other modern decks :)
@@litkakashi o yea I have played storm for almost 7 years lol. It’s definitely my favorite modern deck of all time.
storm is either broken or non-viable its hard to set it in-between
agree, the core concept is just too volatile to be somewhere in between but thats why I love the deck :)
Are you still playing Storm? No content for so long my man lol
I will never not be playing storm ;) Unfortunately I havent had the time for youtube for the last half year due to uni and other personal stuff but Im planning to do some new deck building videos soon I'll probably share my current modern storm list pretty soon since I'm always adjusting that for the current metagame And I got a pauper storm brew that I'm almost happy with, will post a video once I have it finetuned Thanks for asking :)
@@litkakashi Thanks for the answer my man!
Great video, and very cool deckbuilding ideas! Do you plan on making a new Ninja deck tech with the Kamigawa Neon Dynasty cards?
yep, looking forward to the set nice profile pick btw :)
Think this can still perform in the current meta? Any recommended updates?
hey, Im working on an updated list right now, havent found anything with a consistent winrate yet tho this deck didnt get much from the new sets and hiostoric horizons
Have you made any updates to the list?
I have an updated version on my channel :)
Hey man, I'm a budget historic player rn and since hitting mythic, i've pretty much faced nothing but jeskai control and the whole tibalt's trickery bs, my sliver deck has pretty much been useless against it and i have essentially 0 wildcards when it comes to making a stacked meta deck. do you think this deck could hold up against it? i just wanna find some way to actually compete against jeskai control.
I think this deck should have a fairly solid matchup against the jeskai magma opus deck you would probably have to tweak the list though, since the list in this video is not up to date anymore
Are there any resources for learning play lines for this deck? I'd love to see an exclusive primer that includes things like usual gift piles, opening hands, specific sideboard guides, or possible variants of the list. (Like maybe sleight of hand over opt)
currently working on some in-depth storm videos, since I feel like the deck hasnt been covered in depth for beginners If you wanna learn the deck the best thing you can do is watch some cws_mtg vods, hes super knowledgable on the deck!
Thank you very much !!!
Amazing video thank you very much !!!!
glad it helped out!
Thx, da muss ich meins Mal umbauen. Birgi wird wohl nicht mehr gespielt...

What’s your thought on Mission Briefing with the current UR Delver deck in modern? Being able to surveil over what snapcaster provides seems better. Helps the Murktide Regent and the Delirum girl flooding the graveyard with multiple types and spells to delve. And unholy heat
are we talking blitz or the version with murktide regent?
@@litkakashi version with Murktide, Dragon Rage Channeler, Unholy Heat, and Delver of Secrets all benefit from Surveil on Mission Briefing
@@Joelthelobo sounds like its worth a try i think the problem is just that snapcaster is a better version of that spell, so its hard to justify playing it rather than just more snappys
Dovin’s veto? Render silent? Absorb? Disallow?
wow Id never seen render silent before, love the card! I shouldnt have skipped dovins veto, thats definitly on me tbh I didnt know absord and disallow were modern playable at any point the more you know
Render silent seems like a very underrated counterspell, but I’m also trying to justify Disrupting Shoal being a good counterspell especially with the current meta being a bunch of 0-4 drops, what do you think about that card.
@@Joelthelobo the only real use case I can think of is in mirrors of decks like blitz or storm where both decks have mainly 1 and 2 mana spells the problem is that in these decks, individual spells are very low impact, its more about critical mass, so its almost never worth getting the 2 for 1 off since shoal doesnt exile, youd almost always rather have force of negation tbh
why not vapor snap????
because youll be bouncing your own creatures a majority of the time in my updated list im playing snap, its on my channel as well if you want to check it out :)
@@litkakashi ok makes sense, soon I will play a pauper tournament, I will try your list, but without the Sunken City because I do not have, I will try with Smoke Shroud and I will tell you how it went, greetings
@@elcesar1155 good luck man! I'd recommend you pick up the smoke shrouds when you can, they're fairly cheap and they really boost the deck
@@litkakashi Hey friend, I won the tournament I told you to participate in, the deck is very good, I only lost one round against the auras deck with hexproof creatures, what card would you recommend on the side against that particular deck. Regards.
@@elcesar1155 well played man! I always board in annul, spell pierce and sunken ruins against the auras deck usually by cheaply countering their spells while chipping at them with evasion the matchup is pretty easy to win, you just kill them way faster between annul, spellstutter sprite, counterspell and spell pierce its gonna be really hard for them to race you
Nice deck, Just returning from a 10 year break. I have always been the Uplayer that was the dick at the table lol
hell yeah dude true douchebags like us never change

Is there a reason for the 1of snow island?
the idea is if you ever want to search for 4 untapped blue sources with gifts ungiven its super situational and I've actually never had it happen in all the years Ive played storm, but theres no downside to it so I keep it in
"Tempo is not about speed..." Proceeds to talk about importance of clock... lol Tempo is all about which player is applying pressure.
someone "putting a clock" on their opponent is a tcg term for applying pressure
@@litkakashi I know. My point is... speed IS the ability to apply pressure. Speed is quickly implementing your game plan, aggro or control. Its why saying, "you're on a 20 turn clock" is a joke. The ability to quickly finish games with a clock, requires speed. Ultimately, the player that can be in the driver's seat FIRST is the one with tempo. That's why I think it's goofy to say Tempo is not about speed. That's basically all it's about
@@maurygoldblat8982 Pretty late to the party but here is my 2 cents: I think the importance of "speed" in this case is just that you need to take advantage of tempo quickly for it to mean anything so it often pairs well with aggressive and fast strategies that go under the opponent. For example an aggro deck trying to end the game quickly playing a tempo card like Unsummon to quickly finish the game. HOWEVER you don't need to be playing fast to make a tempo play or gain a tempo advantage. You could have a long grindy game close out with a tempo swing after many turns of board stall.
Crazy good this deck
glad youre enjoying it!
No dovins veto?
oh yeah I forgot that one A tier
Dope video. Timestamps would be sweet
thanks for the feedback, I've been adding them to my recent longer videos!
Did you try green white so you can ramp into your engine?
I'm actually testing tron rebels right now since the mana you need is colorless anyway
@@litkakashi tron!
With all that mana from the urza lands you could amass even more advantage!
@@s8r647 yeah its pretty amazing once you assemble tron, getting like 2 rebels a turn the problem is that there isnt really a way to get tron consistently because youre forced into mono-white, so you kind of have to rely on naturally drawing it
@@litkakashi splash green for ancient stirrings. You could also play map and such. Stirrings will allow you to use good artifact sideboard cards too like tormod’s crypt, relic of progenitus, and more! This will also thin your deck out quicker to hit the non rebel cards consistently. Side note: you can play green vessel and satyr way finder to find it too
Wtf is this nonsense
