There was really not much point to Night of Dark Shadows because the continuity was seriously lacking in comparison to House of Dark Shadows. (I understood why to some degree since Jonathan Frid was not interested in doing a sequel, but a story that could have referenced Barnabas could have worked its way into the script). A few days ago, I finally saw Night of Dark Shadows. Deeply disappointed of course.

I have often wondered what this version was intended to signify. For months we had been hearing the tinny gramophone version, and then we heard this. Maybe this was how the music sounded if you were there while an orchestra was playing it. We heard this version only once, when Quentin's ghost made everybody leave, and he was happy about that.

Brings back so many memories of running home from school to watch "Dark Shadows." I met Jonathan Frid in the mid nineties in Columbus, Ohio and he couldn't have been nicer. A real gentleman and very humble.
