This is pretty damn creepy...this version was played at the very end of one particularly good episode just right before the end credits where the whole family had to flee the mansion because of Quentin's ghost terrorising the family...while this creepy but haunting music was playing you see all the empty rooms of Collinwood and then Quentin's ghost is standing creepily laughing at the top of the stairs....great vintage TV....
That is one of my most favorite scenes of the series. To me, Quentin, not Barnabas was my favorite male lead of the show. David Selby is still around today!
im on my couch sleeping and listening to this gorgeous melody i could picture David selby as a young quinten Collins and dancing with me he's still very handsome i just heard him read shadows in the night from the dark shadows convention 2016 in Tarrytown NY
I have often wondered what this version was intended to signify. For months we had been hearing the tinny gramophone version, and then we heard this. Maybe this was how the music sounded if you were there while an orchestra was playing it. We heard this version only once, when Quentin's ghost made everybody leave, and he was happy about that.
First he's a ghost, then a cad, zombie, werewolf, Count Petofi, Dorian Grey, amnesiac, parallel universe guy, time traveller, then raises the "Titanic". What a career.
Makes my mind whirl with sad and happy thoughts. Relaxes me to the point of felling young once again.
Yes, feeling young once again.
Makes me think of waltzing at a dance when we were all young and graceful and more beautiful than we realized.

Yes!! I love that episode. At the same time it was very sad to see the demise of the Great Collins family
Yes!! I always think of that episode!

Always loved this song, going back to when I was a kid. I wish it was longer.
Thank you
Love this haunting version of Quentin's Theme from Night of Dark Shadows!

Me too. Reminds me though of him running around trying to help his family.
