without direction (solo piano)
A song I kind of struggled to find the motivation to complete, so I named it "without direction." Visual style inspired by @AZALI00013
*LORE*
I started making this when visiting my grandparents and struggled to find the motivation to complete it. This whole piece is essentially the result of brute-forcing my way through composing, which is likely evident in some parts of this song. I think there were only a few points where I was in "the zone" while making this.

My track from the collaborative album Project: Phantasia organized by @SpiralFlip! I tried to take a more introspective perspective of the main character, following the beginning of their journey and lamenting the home they left behind :) Check out the full album here (it's peak): UA-cam: ua-cam.com/video/IZtd0ABhhpM/v-deo.html Bandcamp (name your own price): spiralflip.bandcamp.com/album/proje...

I recently got an electric guitar, bass, and drums plugin, so I made some metal (at least I think I did). A pirate-y song I created sometime between February 7, 2019, and February 17, 2019 (likely before I got FL Studio). I think this is one of the better songs from that era of my creating music, so I hope you all like it!! :D The program is a website called BeepBox, and here's the link to this song if you want to mess with it: www.beepbox.co/#9n61sbk2l01e0jt2na7g0vj0vr2i12222222o432333T0v0u00f10u2...

An atmospheric, horror-themed piano piece I made in August 2021. The thumbnail and video are a picture I took of a piano. *LORE* I'm working on a larger piece that I need to get done by the end of the month for a project (I'll post it when I can) and have been busy with school, so I've been working on music less. I felt I needed to post something, though, since I haven't made anything in a mont...
journey together (composition for string orchestra)

A moderately paced string piece about someone on a journey looking for something. It's been a while since I made a piece for a full string orchestra, so I had to shake off the rust to make this one! (Fortunately, composing for string orchestra and string quartet aren't _too_ different.) *COOL PEOPLE* (if you liked this video, check these people out!) @AZALI00013, @Tides16001, @SpiralFlip, @biin...

"wait, I'll have a college degree, so I can probably farm some money with that, but like what do I do after that..." That's the neat part, you don't (God I hope this is just a joke)
life demands i farm money, but i know not what farming strat i wish to use
@@BiggMilk Yeah honestly it seems I'm also just studying to farm money. I wish I could be like you and create something that helps someone out there feel a little bit better. I'm listening to your part in Phantasia as I'm typing this comment. Thank you for making me feel a little bit better.
sounds similar to legend of zelda music, especially some of the chord progressions - very nice 👍
thanks!!
Seriously beautiful man! I rarely hear vst orchestras sounding this good! Well done, this is great! 🙏
thank you!! the cinematic studio series of vsts sound _insanely_ good (especially after you read the manual and know what features it has, which is something i didn't do until a year after i bought them lol)
@@BiggMilk yeah ive re-thought about what orchestral libraries i am going to purchase at some point now. i was going to get modern scoring strings from audio bro as theyre very dry sounding, and "close". but after hearing your use of the cs series, im really wanting them instead lol. Good job again man, youve done an amazing job at making them sound like a genuine recording of an orchestra!
@@Fena0_0 there are quite a lot of libraries out there lol. if you do end up buying cinematic studio stuff, i highly recommend you read the manual because it has pretty much everything you'd possibly need to know to use it effectively!
as someone who writes essays to pass exams i must say that the moral of reusing musical material in this piece of music is a metaphor for human desire to go back to their roots, even if they don't which direction they are going

I love this music bro, don't give up
thanks!! i don't plan to >:)
so good
thank you! :)
Wow beautiful. That's all I can say. Just, beautiful
thanks :D

Phenomenal job!! I absolutely love this composition/orchestration style, “The Village” part especially is so playful and lively <3 (what library are you using for the woodwinds? :0)
thanks!! :D the village is probably one of my favorite sections since the melody is traded between instruments so much. usually, i have a habit of assigning roles to instruments and locking them into those roles. i think the village makes good use of all the instruments i had at my disposal :) also, the woodwinds plugin I used was Cinematic Studio Woodwinds. I love the whole Cinematic Studio Series (i have all of them except the piano)
@BiggMilk Oo nice, a lot of people seem to love those libraries I have to try them out sooner or later
would you ever be open to making like a "behind the scenes" kinda video where you show your composing process?
yes!! i've tried to make one before, but i procrastinated too much on it and abandoned it... it's still on my to-do list, though :)
@@BiggMilk that's awesome man. I really like your work and wanna learn as much as I can from you
Thank you! It is so wonderful! I sensed a whole story weaved into it listening to the compilation version. I am not surprised to find an actual plot in subtitles there.
thank you! i'm glad you liked it :D i like using the subtitles to add commentary to each piece, so hopefully they were somewhat insightful or something :D

Really nice musical storytelling and great orchestration too. Good work!
thanks!! i like film music a lot, so I like trying to convey a story with my compositions :D
I love this I love tally hall I love you
Biggmilk poppin' off as usual
I'm a big fan of your work!
i fucking love this
I came across the Phantasia compilation video, and hearing this track i knew i had to find your profile immediately.
i'm glad you like it!! thanks for stopping by :)
@@BiggMilk very much so and thank you for the music too!
Man with every upload you put out, I'm reminded again and again just how good you are at writing orchestral stuff. I love how fluid the dynamics are, the tempo speeding up and slowing down makes it sound so real, and as always your instrument choice is great. Amazing job overall. Can't wait to see what projects you'll work on in the future, but until then I guess I'll just have to listen to this over and over lol
thank you so much!! :D i think I'll forever be partial to orchestral music since I've been performing in school orchestras for most of my academic career. they're so much fun, and it feels great to make music with, like, fifty other people. also, I'm a big fan of film music :)
really love this one
You are an unknown legend. You are one of those that deserve the attention of the world. Maybe one day you will get there.
maybe one day, but even if i don't, I'll keep making music because i really like doing it :)
