hii, i was wanting to combine A levles law with psychology and business. is this a good combination?
i think so!
I do those subjects. DONT Xx
Hello, is law politics and history a good combo? Thanks
It’s a brilliant combo actually. I’m planning to get into either journalism or law and I’m planning to do media, English Lit/lang, and Law. Politics would be a great combination as well
A lot of learning from this lecture of your teaching methods
Hi these are really great lectures and are higly appreciated, I'm studying a level law in my late 40s and without people like you putting this stuff up my life would be much harder. So thanks.
😍😍
Hi I hope you respond. I'm a gap year student. On last years law paper for criminal paper 1, the topics of evaluation were only consent and self-defense. Are the topics of evaluation all of them for this year?? Please answer urgently.
hello, yes potentially any of the 4 could come up this year. I cover evaluation of non fatal offences in my non fatal offence tutorial collection!

She’s back!!
Well presented.Thank you
Hi, is politics, law and psychology a strong combination. if no, can you suggest on a strong pick. Thanks
Law politics and sociology might be good:) i do law sociology and religionðics
@@shaylaladipo5311 I want to do psychology and sociology but can’t decide between geography, law or religious studies. What would you recommend as i enjoy RS at gcse but people say it’s like 3 a levels in one and don’t want it to be too much.
@@katiemx2502 heyy, honestly religion is easily my fave subject. it is pretty content heavy but it’s so interesting , it isn’t just learning about christianity but you learn a lot about ethics and morality and applying religion to certain situations. i would definitely recommend it but as i said it is quite content heavy but if you enjoy the subject like i do it doesn’t feel that way at all.
@@shaylaladipo5311 hey, yeah i enjoy it at gcse where i study islam and christianity and I’m quite good at it too. I also do geography at gcse but tbh i only like some of the topics in geography but picked it at a level as people say it’s more beneficial but i would rather do religionðics tbh. That’s good if you find it interesting i think i would enjoy it at A level but the only the only thing that’s putting me off is the long essays as well as psychology and sociology that i’ve picked😭 how do you find it alongside sociology?
Thank you this is so helpful 😊
Hey I am thinking about taking history english combined and law for A levels . Is this strong overall and because it is three essay writing subjects would it be too much for me to do?
Hey, that is a great combination I'd go for it
Is this Edexcel ?
This is focused on OCR but there will be similarities
for ur point: is our support for others indirectly helping our smaller circle's purpose? do you think it is good to bring in Nozick's argument against the redistribution of tax where he argued that taxing the rich to help the poor is a form of slavery and thus in this case, we should put more moral duties to our family and friends, instead of helping people that are not closely related to us
hello miss, at 40.10, can I argue that it's difficult to say whom we should place more moral duties/obligations on? according to modern liberals and critics of liberalism, there are 3 types of moral obligation. Firstly, the universal duties that we owe to every human being in order to prevent harming people; then voluntary obligation which is acquired by consent through agreements and promises; lastly, the obligation of membership and loyalty. Hence, in my opinion, family, friends, and people around the world shouldn’t be compared as the types of moral obligation that we have in each situation would differ.... is this a valid argument?
Thanks for the tutorials. Although Dave would have most likely died independent of the shooting, Reginald's actions did accelerate his death. In Dyson(1908) a father's beating of his son cause him to suffer severe injuries which ultimately lead to his death. It was established by way of medical evidence that the son would have died not long from meningitis. On upholding his conviction of manslaughter, the court held that it was enough that he accelerated his son's death. How do we reconcile this? Perhaps the time involved until Dave meets his impending impact death is so limited that the accelerated death wouldn't matter!
My boyfriend killed his friend's rapist, immediately after she told him about it.He took the shotgun and went to the rapist house. It was caused by the heat of passion. He was wrongfully convicted of murder during a robbery in the first degree(there is proof he didn't commit a robbery, and he didn't plan... it was something he did while he was mad). He is serving his 35th year of life without parole in prison. He was suppose to get between 10-20 years, here in Alabama,if the crime would have been labeled as voluntary manslaughter.
Australian law? Thank you!

Are you gonna do vid for evaluation for ecthr
Thank you very much
Hello. I have an A level exam on the 20th 😬unit 4. Do you have videos on the evaluation of non fatal offences or fatal offences? Thank you. Your video was helpful for my exam tomorrow
Hello, there is a summary of evaluation points on my most recent evaluation tutorial for non fatal offences. Fatal offence evaluation if any will be on the tutorials with the areas of law. I’m aiming to record more when I can. Best of luck for your exam
…and I do have a tutorial called criticisms of involuntary manslaughter if that helps
@@lawteachertutorials6889 thank you! Ill check them out
This is an absolute lifesaver for my exam tomorrow. Thankyou :]
Does william go on the first one for self defence a01 - 53:55?
R v Palmer (originating case) List of cases/legislation that I use is at the bottom of the slide :-)
I'm doing ocr and found this incredibly helpful, thank you so much! Will you be doing a video on paper 2 OLA evaluation and perhaps paper 3 also?
I will indeed! Recording for tort will go up in next day or so
@@lawteachertutorials6889 Brilliant, thank you so much 🤝
You are such a brilliant teacher! You made my life easier. Thank you so much.
can you share the self-defence answers for the fill in the blank questions. i'm not quite sure where some of the cases go?
Sorry I missed this, do you still need answers? If so I’ll do a complete version tomorrow and upload on here as a picture
@@lawteachertutorials6889 yes i do still need the answers ^•^!

Well presented thank you. This will go along way In helping me in my LLB exams
I’m pleased :-)
This was a good tutorial. However, the case references used in some defences I.e. self defence, all involved death of the victims and this technically excludes them as good case references for non-fatal offences.
The cases illustrate the relevant principles, facts are not important for citation purposes at a level. It also important to limit volume of case law to be learned. These are the key cases, as examiners, that we look for. However, if you have learned any others that are relevant please feel free to comment them below :-)
Very much appreciated
Thank you 😊
Your subscription to my channel is important for me. ua-cam.com/users/HamzaArshad07
Great
Nice
Great analysis. Thank you so much.
Great video thank you. So in your opinion regarding the classic Empire State problem, would you say neither Louis or Reg would be liable as their acts both fail the legal causation but for test? Or, would you say Reg is more liable as his act was the real operative cause which broke Louis’ chain? Or, thirdly, would you suggest Reg was liable for manslaughter for recklessly firing a weapon on the basis of the operative cause test but without intent to kill (as he probably wouldn’t know that he would hit Dave’s falling body). To me it seems like a manslaughter charge for Reg seems plausible and Louis by a freak technical legal loophole relating to causation would be acquitted.
Thanks for the video! Very good teaching!
Useful presentation
hey, can you help me please in understanding differences between automatism & insanity is a more elaborated way, please.
Hello, essentially both are defences but arise out of different conditions and the outcomes if successful are also different. Insanity is caused by internal/recurring conditions, automatism is raised where D suffers with external causes that provoke a one-off/unique involuntary reaction. Automatism results in a complete defence, insanity results in treatment and a finding of not guilty by reason of insanity. Does that make sense?
Thanks 😊 helps a lot
Thank you so much for this. Very informative 👏 👌
