Thank you. You saved me a few hundred bucks - going with a single row with 1 inch tubes.
No antifreeze came out lol?
Thank you for this
Unfortunately these are illegal in California, if you go into a smog test with that on…you will get failed. For something so beneficial it’s a shame is not allowed.
@@gabinomorales106 That's really dumb. It's literally helping me environment by catching oil and not burning it
Great explanation on how to do the adjustment. Install the Booster on the vehicle first, then do the adjustment, Much easier. The tool is great, no guess work. I just adjust the rod till it doesn`t touch. This is on my 86 F-250.
Thank you bro! Omg I’ve been going insane!
great video, I came across this tool and was trying to figure out how it works. Thanks for making it.
Thanks for the video man. I will fix mine tomorrow.
Okay so recently bought a 2006 Chevy Silverado. This thing has brand new everything as far as the brake system hard lines soft lines cylinders calipers...master etc .. like the freaking works! Since purchasing this truck the brakes have always had an issue where they slightly drag... The more I drive the more they drag until practically locked up. Have bled the system more times than I care to admit hooked up that $5,000 computer to pulsate the ABS unit or whatever we bleeding... Absolutely nothing has worked the point I'm ready to have a bonfire with the damn truck in my backyard tonight. This is the one and only thing I think that's left that I have not checked into or tried because none of my "pro" mechanic friends have ever heard of such a thing 🤦🏼♂️ Just got to get my hands on that little measurement tool and I'm praying this is what the issue has been and it resolves. If so thank you so much! You saved a truck's life with your video😂 If this isn't the issue....well.... Still thank you anyways but looks like I'm going to have to start rebuilding my old BMX bike😢
Was it the issue?
@@remogaggi82no 😔 idk what the issue is/was. I was steering blew out yesterday morning at the grocery store so she's parked for a bit. Damn truck stole xmas this year...Not happy with it
Made in China? or USA?
I just can’t grab the concept. That is this happens why doesn’t dodge already do this? I got an oil change and they filled my oil so fast that the fill tube allowed fresh oil to get into the intake tube . Cause there is a small hose that hooks in to the intake hose that comes from the side of the oil fill tube on the engine . It was fresh oil not old blow back oil that is dirty . . Crazy system .
Because you can hardly get people to check the oil or their tire pressure, let alone get them to empty something like a catch can. Like this guy, he let it go for way too long before checking it. You need to empty them often or all the stuff it catches will eventually overflow back into the engine.
@ I see but still it’s a problem the manufacturer knows about it and still does nothing about it
@ it depends on the engine, but that’s really the only fix. It’s better to leave it as is because it would be worse if people didn’t empty them. There are videos as to why it happens. It’ll be easier for you to look into why rather than me trying to explain. It’s done like that because of environmental reasons, but it does hurt your engine because of it. It doesn’t hurt it in the short term, but it does build up.
@@goobcutusofborg3357 no I know why and how . You’re not understanding. But just like fire detectors. They got expiration dates and guess what no one replaces them . I understand that .
Chevy never had that problem. Not until dodge with this hemi have I ever heard of an oil catch can . . Call me old but facts !
what you think of metal gaskets?
It’s been 3 years since this vid was uploaded. Would you buy a Spal again?
Does a two pass radiator *actually* cool better? The marketing says it does, but that’s marketing, let’s use logic. Your water pump pushes a fixed amount of water into the inlet, and the same amount exits the outlet, okay, so in a one pass you have the full number of rows for a fixed amount of coolant to flow through and it does so in time T. A 2 pass radiator uses half the rows to go and half to return so the same amount of coolant has to flow through half as many rows that are twice as long also in time T. This means the water spends T/2 time in each pass. Then we look to the 2nd law of thermodynamics and reference Fourier's Law to observe that the most important factors in thermal conduction here is the temperature gradient and the time because all other factors remain the same. So a coolant spending half as much time in each pass for two passes is exactly the same as spending twice as much time in one pass. So, it’s my intuition that for a fixed radiator size and flow there should not be any appreciable difference between a one pass or two pass radiator.
I've had my 2011 Mustang v6 about a year now. Sometimes during deceleration there's this little unsettling vibration that comes from the engine followed by random misfires. It's about 50/50 as to whether the engine will throw a code or not. I'm gonna have my mechanic install a new one. I wish I could get a good looking one like these with degrees.
4 seasons on rock auto are a third of the price. Nuff said for me
did you put the in-between side , upper and lower air seals back on ? Do they fit ? and interested in purchasing this type of radiator for my 00 intrepid.
@@rebeccawifeofjonathan9355 yes. Works well
Thank you!!
I’ve had a few of these I bought my 3rd one I couldn’t not get the 1/4 in. Broke the collet. Thanks the vid
Awesome video dude. Thank you.
Excellent video, thanks heaps 😊
great video
dont trust that tool too much .. bought one and tried that on my 92 Mustang and it was way off ....had to go back to old school messuerments .....how long is that Pin from the tool ..?
What’s the old school way?
Ahh this is what mine is doing, has anyone contacted Holley to see if it falls under a defect fix and they will honor the issue?
Very nice job! Almost did this then ran a few more test and it was my fuel pump not the ecu
Sent mine back to Holley took them 60 days to tell me we are going to send you back a used replacement 2300 EFI "we put together from parts we had in the shop". They forgot to send my touch screen back and once I installed the replacement on my 65 Mustang 289 fuel pressure through the roof spraying gas all over the engine. Half the summer is gone just like their customer service. Need to go back to stock carb and find trash for the EFI.
Getting that bracket out was harder than putting in the T5. Thanks for the help this is the only video online for the 71-73's 🙏
If I'm using a spacer between the booster & the Master cylinder,, (1964 TBird) do I use this device with the spacer on the booster?
Thank you very much..👍
Two years later and this video just saved me after hours of confusion and going to multiple hardware stores. I was asking the clerks who seemed as confused as me if there was an adapter that dropped the 1/4 inch down to 1/8. Thank you!
If you don't show all the tribulations of doing this job you are wasting everyone's time.
"Your gas mileage can become just plain awful if your gas mileage is off" No shit Sherlock. Other to that,I think I learnt something.
That is good info now let's say you have something that is a conversion the booster needs to be mounted to a bracket the bracket has a zbar on it there is the pushrod hooks to the z bar the other end of the z bar attaches an l bracket hooking to the peddle but the pushrod is too long bottoming out against the fire wall do you cut a hole or adjust or cut the pushrod
I bought a set of the icons they are nice good price also lifetime warranty .
And china
Major error here. Thicker radiators do not necessarily cool better, big newbie mistake. The radiator may be so thick that by the time the air reaches rear, the air is so hot it can't transfer any more heat. Is this another example of men's preoccupation with size?😁
Switch was $17 bucks on Amazon. I replaced it in 10 minutes but.. switch was not the problem. I think the motor is the problem. It moves forward and reverse at first and starts to slow and then stops. Wait a few minutes and it does the same again. The problem is finding a motor out there.
did you find one?
thank you for this video
This video does not need to be 6 minutes
Don't use alumium oxide abrasive on the spindle.
I wish I would've found this video 3 years ago. I have the #871 sniper stealth and it's never run right, if at all. I can't even get mine to idle, and I highly suspect this iac is the cause. I have to open butterflies to even get it to work, and when it does run.....it backfires and dies after 30 secs w no data screen of doom. IDK, I tried calling Holley, but sat on hold forever. I never got anywhere, something always came up and had to hang up unfortunately. Now, I'll try and do this, maybe I can get a hold of Holley, IDK. $1,500 should really get me more than 40 miles in 3 years. I'm not giving up, hopefully this works for me. Thank you so much for making this video! It's the only one I've seen for the stealth including socket sizes and part numbers. You are awesome!!!
You mentioned that your battery was located in the trunk. Do you have a ground directly from the engine block to the battery?
Thanks man was loosing my mind when a freaking 1/4 fitting wouldnt go in a 1/4 die grinder 😂
Hydro dipped cleveland valve covers? Nice
This was INCREDIBLY helpful thank you.
Good effort and good video. Im no professional, just know a little about alot😅. But the first quarter of the vid was a little..not quite correct. The coolant does not flow in the patterns you described for a 2 row or more radiator. The coolant only flows one way across (or down) no matter how many tubes, it doesn't flow back and forth. That's that part, as far as the rest and more rows and larger or smaller rows..thats the big lifelong question for me and many other's. Im trying to figure that out still myself thats why im watching videos😅. Im thinking about getting a 3 row full aluminum to replace my single row stock radiator that just broke. Both are the same width core pretty much (3 row is maybe .05 wider). People say a 2 row is better then a 3 and vice versa. Im wondering is a 3 better then a 1 or is it about the same. Im now realizing radiator debates are like motor oil debates lol. So many different opinions and both make since.
SPAL all the way for me.
Thanks for the tip mine came the same way
What about the factory plastic engine cover? Does it still fit in place with the catch can installed?
No
Just keep the cover off, it just traps heat honestly
It won’t fit without modifying it. But you can get half covers and they will fit with the catch can.
@@goobcutusofborg3357 I made it fit with little modification. Wasn't rocket science, just some precise work with a Dremel.
If the outer ring shifts it won't throw your timing off UNTIL you use the marks to time your engine.
Good point.
Is it causing bad pressure in the engine thoigh i saw a video where somome had one and there was air comming out of the oil fill cap when he had it unlocked and just sitting there got me a bit worried
