You, as the player, are the Metaconsciousness The character you are playing is the conscious mind(who's making the decisions, still technically you). The other voices are merely a mix of the Pre-consciousness mind and the unconscious mind. The narrator could maybe be akin to a higher conscious 🤔

So, early on in this one... you *were* the voice of the cheated, before you started altogether judging it for stepping out to speak for itself. The Narrator stated that you must've not done what his previous iteration had told you to do, and you argued against that... but the last instruction the first Narrator had given was... do not check for a pulse...

Kinda want to see a game like this that runs on an LLM (think ChatGPT) trained specifically on the scenario so I could interrupt the princess/narrator. It would open up so many options and a high-end PC could run it, but I think doing it online and selling X runs for $20 would be the best way at this point. It allows far more people to give a go at what could be one of the most insane games in the genre. Imagine this game, but you could use VC to interact and get back live AI-voiced relevant answers. I cloned Johnny Depp for all VC/VOIP and it's almost impossible to tell it's not him.

There is one think i still want to understand... What's with the cabbin? What's the importance of a cabban or the meaning of it? Because even tough it changes a LOT from the inside, and the forest itself changes, the cabbin never does. Aways the same exterior... Why?

One thing you've missed is that if you ask the Thorn about whether you can say anything to change her mind, the Thorn and the voices will bring up that hollow words aren't enough, and you'll have the opportunity to say: "Then maybe it's past time for either of us to say anything. All that counts is action." This is functionally equivalent to just reaching for the blade, but I feel like it matters in the route that's all about mending bridges.

I've never played this game, but I've yoinked a hundred smokes from people. I mean, I'm known to hand them out like candy anyway, so a bit of karma goes a long way, but if you ask, you won't recieve. Your questions about the Narrator (around the 19 minute mark) made me grin a LOT. (I've played way too much of this game and know a lot of the Lore.) You're definitely onto something, awesome observations! I didn't pick up on some of that until I was at least on my second playthrough. She had to choose between two traumas: rejection from society and betraying her friend and herself in a way. And somehow society in her eyes had more value than her ideals and believes. Now she is older, but when she looks back she judges little Annette as if this girl had the same amount of resources and skills as the grown one, which is not true! I think the (well, "a") reason you/we hesitate doubly so while seeing her despite of her words is precisely *because* of her words. She has a calm and knowing demeanor and a snark that to me suggest a knowing bitterness, a set up, a test, resignation but not giving up. I have met manipulative people (a lot of them, im argentinian) but I can't really think of an example of someone using this level of agressive detachment to do so. The closest ive seen is a self deprecative cry for attention, but this isnt it. im 25 minutes in so things will probably change but so far I have a hard time thinking she could be what there is so clearly an intent of showing. Even not ignoring the possibility of reverse psychology. Of course, it really doesnt matter, playing is as you said, a commitment. Being a game give us the freedom to try things out of curiosity but even if it were real, it is too blatant for one to obey blindly without a direct personal threat imho. I dont think most people would do it. And personally, with the information I have so far, even if the world ended I would feel no remorse because I know that at the time, with the information I had, my choices would not have been different. I only truly regret goign against my self (took me a bit to learn that) and subconsciously, I think many would agree, even if they chose "wrong" and got haunted by it

Kim clearly wanted to trust you, but every step of the way, every chance he gave you, you ripped to shreds in front of him without a second thought. Why should he embrace you wholeheartedly, if you only ever show destructive tendencies? He has only ever given you chances to prove you earned a badge, same as him, and yet you continually fail to utilize the empathy given to you by higher beings. Why ignore the part of you that has grown, the part that you earned through experience? The whole point of the hero story is to show the growth of said hero. And yet, you cling to a forgotten past, using a non-existent memory to push him back.

I saw the first two minutes of this game and bought it. I'll watch this after I have played through it myself. I think I may be in for a ride... and not a fun one. 😂 Edit: I have played the game myself and it was rather interesting. Think I got one of the best endings, now I am interested in seeing this man's perspective.

As Persona 3 is the black Sheep even after the Remaster. and 1 & 2 didn't really dive into the idea yet.

I've had an incredible time watching your playthrough so far. You've taught some very important concepts, and your lessons have helped me define behaviors and feelings I have. Playing Slay the Princess and speaking with the "entity" in The Long Quiet (in case you haven't played the next bit yet I don't want to name drop her) has also done that for me. I've grown and learned through her perspectives, and I've made some of them my own. I hope you do take the time to experience all this game has to offer, because your shared experiences provide such insight. As well, strictly from the perspective of the gamer in me, it's been very satisfying seeing you play and explore each path. You take time to explain how you feel, what approach makes sense to you, you rationalize and try to have a dialogue, but you also sometimes let emotion drive your choices while being fully aware of the potential consequences, because in the end, this is a game and you seem delighted, and when it gets more somber you do get emotional. It's been beautiful to see your perspective too. The ONLY thing which has slightly bothered me is how you haven't exhausted dialogue with the "entity", because, as you had said, you had already asked those questions before. However, for each perspective you bring her, she has changed, and the way she answers may have changed. In a way, you could say you're falling under the Illusion of mastery, from your definition ;)
