Oh, how I wish we could go back in time. So many memories of that wonderful place. Thank you for sharing. It's great watching this.
Best review of the Buena Vista Suites...! My wife and I are looking forward to our stay there next year..
@@CoventryTKD Thank you! I know you’ll enjoy your trip!
Great video Ty for posting
Glad you enjoyed it!
I loved the beach when everything was on the strip, and the Pavillion was so much fun .
I did too. I miss old MB so much.
2as there 2mo.ago it's nothing like this now. No longer family minded. Just not safe now
I was there in 1990. Where did all the time go? Didn't have a video camera then. Thanks for posting the video. Brought back great memories.
Howdy. How much did the pizza and beverages cost. ? Great video.
Thanks for sharing this. Great video!
Thank you for watching! ❤️
Thanks for the review, I’m staying there in a few weeks 👍
@@KevinLangan-lu6wn I hope you enjoy it as much as we did! Thanks for watching!
Taking down the Pavilion was so sad and I could never figure out why. That land sat there vacant for so long my kids had so much fun there. I have been here for 24 years and cannot remember the last time I went to the the Boulevard. I think it had to do with the outrageous prices to park your car.Thank you fof this video I really enjoed it..
Music is horrible.
Thank you so much for sharing this. I remember!,
Thank you for watching! I’m glad you enjoyed it. ❤️
I think my parents moved here in '92.
I’d have loved to have lived there in that era. Thanks for watching! ❤️
No more Spring Breakers are young people come here anymore just overgrown infant bikers and old people waiting to go to heaven. I have found that the locals are not exactly friendly. And there is no old buildings or history here it all gets torn down and they put up more dumb s***
Watching this is nostalgic, but tragic as they made the biggest mistake by tearing down the pavilion. The pavilion was the only reason I loved myrtle beach other than the ocean. Sad truly sad.
I completely agree. For us we spent all day in the pool or in the surf and sand until burned. Then we came in for showers and dinner. Night time we headed to the Pavilion where we as teens could see and be seen (and do an awful lot of flirting). I do miss it.
Been coming here since 1993 good times 😊
The videos you see today are so much better than this is! 😊
Well, it’s been almost 35 years. UA-cam wasn’t even an idea. Camcorders hadn’t been out very long and most people didn’t have them. The ones who did pretty much shot what they were looking at. 🤷♀️
As a local in MB, I miss those days just walking around the Pavillion. I spent so much time at the Magic Attic. Its so different here now.
We just came back from a trip on Sunday. I do miss old Myrtle Beach, but it’s still beautiful and an amazing place to spend some time. <3
What’s the name of the first song that’s played?
God I miss the Pavillion! Worst decision Myrtle Beach ever made was getting rid of it!
I agree 100%!
Good memories, I have been there many times, since 1979.🥰
Good video 😀
Glad you enjoyed it
I worked at the grandstand amusement park in 88..It was cool back then...peace
You had one of the coolest jobs in one of the best years ever! When I was a teenager that was my ultimate desire; to live and work at Myrtle Beach. :-)
@StumpandDi back then,it was cool working there. I was 20 and it was an adventure, getting ready to move back there for awhile...peace
This is all we could have afford to go to back then for vacation and we only lived an hour way from Myrtle Beach . And the pavilion amusement park was the place of fun back than 🤭
Yes! We couldn’t afford anything else either. We would stay on the second or third row and walk to the beach because we couldn’t afford beach front. We ate at the room almost every meal, sandwiches and chips. If we stayed a whole week we got to go out for one “good” meal while we were there. They were still the best times. ❤️
@@StumpandDi Yeah your absolutely right … the best times back than . This video brought up those Innocent childhood memories .
I miss the Pavilion amusement park 🎢
Same here! Im in Florence SC. We go every year and stay at the same place but it just isn't the same anymore. All the fun is gone. So many rules & it's an absolute money trap.
Here we are in 2024 and a ...lot of the landscape in Myrtle Beach has dramatically and drastically changed over the past several
It really has. I still love Myrtle Beach. It’s my second home and go-to for weekend getaways and take-it-easy vacations.
It's a shame most of that is gone now
ITS PRETTY MUCH NEW HOUSING NOW SO MANY PEOPLE MOVING THERE
Wow, nice!
Man i miss this MB, it’s a shell of what it used to be, but it’s still home
It’s not nearly what it was but I still love it there.
I have been staying here for years, even before the renovation. Great value for the room and minutes from Epcot and Magic Kingdom
Totally agree!
I miss the Myrtle Beach of the 80's and 90's. You could have fun without spending your life savings.
It used to be a fairly cheap vacation. I never wanted to come home either. I miss those days so much.
@@StumpandDi Back in the 80's My wife and I would a week at a time. Rooms were 35 to 45 dollars a night. Plenty of Buffet restaurants. But things do change. I could go to the beach on a single paycheck.
That’s everywhere now!
Wow Flashback to the 90's Thanks for Sharing your Video. New Subscriber here 👍💪✌️
Glad you enjoyed! Welcome, friend!
I was born in 01 and moved here in 2012... sure do wish I grew up around this kind of myrtle instead of the trash we got here now.
It was certainly different then. So much better than it is now. It breaks my heart seeing what has been done to the place. I hate that you didn’t get to experience it.
Thanks for the look back. Chances are I was cruising the strip there that night. I moved back to the West Coast about 2 years later. Sure miss it.
I actually had more fun watching this video of Myrtle Beach than I did the last time I was at Myrtle Beach😂
Glad you enjoyed. And I totally get that!
The beach is so boring now .
Wow...thank you for sharing! My old stomping grounds before I moved here way back in 91...NOT A CELL PHONE IN SIGHT..LOL! Ah, the good Ole dayz! Mixon Dixon on the radio..Vanna White at Sun Fun...Hawian Tropic & Panama Jack..smelling like coconuts!
NOW ITS SMARTPHONES EVERWHERE DEVELOPMENTS ALL OVER ALSO
Hello, I would like to talk to you about possibly using this film for an exhibit. Thank you
What was the name of the room you stayed in? It looks amazing, I’m looking to book.
It was a Deluxe King Suite. I highly recommend it! We really enjoyed our stay.
Throw back to the old days in Raeford. I spent a lot of time and money in that office.
After watching judging by the cars looks like late 1980s.
It was definitely 1990. This was my parents’ first trip to the beach without me. I had a 6 month old at home :-) If you look at 6:13 mark there is a banner in the T shirt shop that says selling out for 1990. There’s another at 16:25. Those cars really are a throwback though!
Yes! Miss the old days and the old Myrtle Beach.😢
Me too. 😢
I miss the old everything!
Most of these motels have been replaced by big resorts
What's breakfast included? Those room looks lovely
The cost of your breakfast is included with the room charge! Everyone staying in your room eats free! It’s a wonderful way to save a little money!
Just saw a segment on the Travel Channel about the Amphicar. The inventors were from Saratoga Springs, New York. Cool tie in to the Saratoga Springs Resort!
Oh wow! I’ve never heard that. Very cool tie to the resort! Thanks for sharing. I love Disney trivia, easter eggs and subtle nods.
My mom would have been 9 years old. She was born in Schoolfield. Went to that school.Quite possible she or her older siblings could have been in this video. All have passed on so I have no one to ask😢
There were so many children in the video it’s a very good possibility! Thank you for watching and especially commenting!
@@StumpandDi Thank you for posting this video. A rare piece of history
My Mom would have been 9 and also was born and raised in Schoolfield.
Hi! It’s the only tour offered on their website. This is $25 per adult and includes the museum at the speedway as well. The link is in the description box.
I wish i was train spotting in 1994! Especially in Pennsylvania.
There's actually a real na'vi in this ride in animal kingdom 🫢😲😦😮
Isn’t she beautiful? ❤️
DANVILLE VIRGINIA MY HOME TOWN BEAUTIFUL PLACE❤
Thanks so much for posting this video! Just want to throw out my two cents as a born-and-bred Floridian: Never, EVER assume any lake, or any body of water bigger than a puddle, is “gator free” in Florida. I’m sure the boat cap’n meant well, but I’ve never heard that duck hypothesis in my life and wouldn’t trust it. I’m not trying to scare anyone, but awareness is key, especially if you’re not familiar with our marshy wetlands!
I have to agree. Gators can go anywhere they like. They can even climb fences!“How to tell if an alligator is in the water: Is the water wet? There’s probably an alligator in it”.
Love this video! Brings back SO many memories from my childhood!! Thank you for sharing this!
I’m glad you enjoyed it. So much has changed there.
@@StumpandDi It looks almost nothing lime this video anymore..it's so sad!
i see my old car in the motel parking lot ..i was there in 90..that rollercoaster was a blast
