EZ Flares! Best CHEAP Fender Flare
Переглядів 39 тис.4 роки тому
If you like what you see you can get 5% off with my code Adventure5 on their website. These can be used with all sorts of vehicles out there. I like them more than the big plastic or fiberglass style because this has the protection without the huge look that the other fender flare companies have.

I have been extremely busy with life lately but had a brief work trip that allowed me to do some shooting while out on the Bonneville Salt Flats. I have a couple other videos in the making so I will be back to getting more, and better videos posted.
Best Budget Floor Liners Ford F-150

AKM is a newer brand that is not well-known. They manufacture the laser fit floor mats/liners for the 2015-20 Ford F-150. I have been thoroughly impressed with them, and at a considerably cheaper price compared to the big name brands they are perfect for your budget. Consider these when searching for Weather Tech or Husky. Link to these awesome floor mats www.amazon.com/2015-2019-AKM-Supercrew-...

Silverado Off Road 5 Mile Pass
Переглядів 18 тис.5 років тому
Finally made a video of what the Silverado can do off-road!!! We went to 5 Mile Pass outside Lehi Utah. The Rattlesnake trail was a great trail to show probably the most challenge I would want to do with how the truck is now. Definitely will be going back to that area!

The system I bought from Home Depot is no longer sold there. However I found it on Ebay and Amazon. Right now ebay is more expensive. Here are both links for stocking purposes. Willys Edition Jeep in Moab
Переглядів 6235 років тому
Dad and I took a quick trip to Moab to try out his stock Jeep wrangler Willys package. Some of what you see looks like we are going slow for no reason, but it doesn't do justice to how much we scraped. The only modifications are small wheel spacers and the front bumper with winch. We definitely used all the skids plates that come with this jeep. We got rained and snowed on, but it was a blast. ...

Boulder Tools Tire Deflators amzn.to/2Y0bBBY This is the first video of several showing how I've been building a full size truck for Off-Roading, Overlanding, Hunting, etc. I'll show you what I have done so far on my 2009 Chevy Silverado, and talk about some of the details in finding, and installing parts, as well as how they have been with wear and tear.
One of my favorite looking Silverados
Que hace el canelo en un off road jajjajaj😂😂😂😂
Nice job be safe we happy
Tried to find one online but all i see is not like the one that u got can u gimme the link of those

I’ve had that same setup 15 years. Take the ends off the hoist rack off and mount the pulleys to a long 2x4 the same width as the shell. Move them out wider.Takes strain off the hoist and it works much better! Great work! This allows you to hoist the shell higher up too!
Good video. Are these still on your truck 3 years later?
They actually are. Still look great too. Haven't changed color or corroded yet. Hasn't even started to peel. Very impressed.
Thank you for replying! This is incredible. I didn’t expect you to say that. No doubt your long term review is the tipping point for me and I’m now confident that I should order a set. Thanks again!
Doesn't the adhesive come off, I'm afraid of that,is it good to add 4-5 screws per fender?
@@ronfj8603 it's all about prep. I cleaned it really well and did it on a warm day. Kept pressure on it for at least 30 sec. I haven't even had one little lip start to peek back or anything. I've been impressed. Also I didn't want to put holes in my fender in case I didn't like them.
I looked at that system...but My camper top is the high top and weighs 350-375 lbs. That system is only good for 250 lbs
That is a 3 all day long! I've gone up that trail in multiple stock trucks from a 76 ford manual trans to a 2wd broken tcase motor 94 explorer that was bone stock without body damage! It's in the driving technique how you can accomplish trails not in how much your rig is built to a certain extent of the obstacles in front of you! I've gone on trails and damaged the crap out of my rig that were super easy not paying attention doing dumb stuff also! It's all in how you drive! You can make a vehicle do things that would amaze you if you take the correct line!!!! How do you think the pioneers crossed this country with no wheel drive and horses before we ever thought of making them fun trails to play on! They did it to survive lol!!!! We just goof off and have fun destroying things trying to get to the top! My 2011 gmc rides like garbage tho im surprised your truck does so well because mine doesn't want to flex or ride worth a crap in the dirt I need to go thru the front end and find out what's worn out and binding
Curious what bed cap brand and model do you have here?
Sold it 4 yrs ago but I believe it was a Leer. Don't know the model. Pretty basic one.
Great video! What a capable pickup! Awesome.
I see this video is a few years old , but I was really hoping to find out where this lift system came from ?
Originally Home depot then it was on Ebay and now i havent been able to find it.
Awesome, I see they discontinued I emailed the mfg, hopefully they come available soon.
Thats cheating
What?
Nice, but now what?
What do you mean? I use it when i need it. Like when i need higher truck bed space.
Good job. Have you ever thought of buying a 2500 # winch ? You could run a pully system and mount the winch to the wall. Or, mount it to the ceiling and go from there. You can get a wireless control one for under $200.
Yeah i thought about alot of different options but i was going with the cheapest and easiest way to do it. This was actually even cheaper then doing it all from scratch. With the drill it really only take a 1 extra minute.vs having a winch thats ready.
What size tires are u running?
295/70/17 there are a couple other videos that i talk about the tires and lift etc. Check those out for more build details.
@@aspiringadventure I will definitely check out those other vids. This was just the first one of yours I came across.
Nobody sells these now 😞
What a shame. Its a great product.
Wow, surprised you took it up Rattlesnake, but you did it. Great video, great truck 🙏🏾💪🏾
2013 Chevy Silverado, starting over land build myself.🤘🏻
Post some videos, would love to see your rig ! 11 Silverado myself
For sure man will do just in the process of getting everything together and building a rack for my rooftop tent
@@Tricky_86 nice check out Billie bars, they make a nice crossbar for your truck bed. They can be used for various different things if you ever take the tent off
You are both curious looking man. Very strange looking critters!!😮🙄
Bro, I am sure I am not the first one to point this out but your title screen says "Adenture". I don't think you want this. Good video.
Haha you are the first. Ive been waiting a long time for someone to point it out. It was a mistake but i thought id see how long it would take. Apparently 2 years and 26k views.
@@aspiringadventure Haha wow, Kind of makes me feel like an ass....anyway my EZ flares have arrived so thanks for the info. I am putting them on my van which didn't have any lip from factory to attach them to so I have been busy fabricating those for starters. Looking forward to seeing them on. I brought the big XLs too, not sure if I went too far by getting those but we will see! They look huge off the car.
Sold out. Any other suggestions
I would just search for similar products. I heard they stop making them about a year after i made the video. Looks like they finally are done with the inventory.
@@aspiringadventure thanks. I subscribed to your page! It's awesome
Where's the link?
Bottom of the description.
Great video bro!, I have the same truck, It's your transmisión stock?
Looks like a Q traitor to our country.
Great idea with the supports! I'm hauling mine up under a tree...
Tanks Man! Love to you and yours
great video, thank you. If your sheet was on the 2x4s and laying on the ground, would the hoist cables reach down that far? Or will it only work if the shell is at truck bed height? My Ceiling is about your ceiling height. THX
The lowest thr cables go is about 4ft off the floor.
As a Jeep guy I give you 👍👍! It takes guts to run a full sized rig on rocks. Great job navigating the trail!!!
Do you have the dimensions for the 2X4 setup and where you placed the blocks.
Every shell is different size so youll just wanna measure for clearance and the blocks are in the rail channel as shown in the video.
Full size bed or 6.5' box on you chevy?
5ft 8in.
How’s it holding up after so many years?
Still going strong. I only use it about 5-6 times a year but no worries yet
Please be aware to film the item that your making the video about instead of putting the camera on your face talking the whole time…i saw very little of the flare and a whole lot of your face
What more did you wanna see?
Is this kit better then the BDS 4 inch lift kit ??
Nope. BDS is way better. But alot more money.
What lift is on it
Its a 4" tuff country. I go over it in another video if you need more info.
Would that tablet mount fit a 12.9 iPad Pro?
I dont think it would fit the pro. However check their website and see if they have an updated version. They also have several individual parts that you can make your own mounts.
Ok, thanks for a speedy reply
I have a JKU with a 4” lift running 35 MT’s and I wheel in the trails at 5 Mile all the time. And every time we go up Rattlesnake Trail, I always say to myself “I hope it doesn’t get any harder” Pretty impressive to see a big full-size truck charging this. It’s definitely not an easy trail.
Thanks. It was all pretty doable except the part right before where the thumbnail pic was taken. I had to scrap my bumper into the ledge to make the turn by that big boulder and the side of the hill. Any longer wheelbase I would have been screwed.
@@aspiringadventure Yeah dude, that part is pretty tough. You couldn’t have driven it any better tho. Hope to see you guys out there one of these weekends! 🤙
How long do they last and now that time has gone by, does the adhesive hold this flare to the wheel well? I would think if the adhesive holds for a year and a half, it's a good product. Drum roll and waiting for your input.
I am happily surprised after more then a year they still look brand new. You can see pics on my instagram. But i will do a follow up video soon.
@@aspiringadventure Ok, so how's it gone...?
@@donquixote... really well no signs of coming apart.
Nice video 👍 Also don't forget to pressure wash after lol That salt 😬
Oh yeah. I hit the car wash right after and dropped 20 bucks. Then went home and droppes the hose in the frame and let it soak.
Any updates how they did so far with weather?
Yes if you check out my instagram I still have them on over a year later and they look brand new.
Thanks bro I just bought a pair. I don’t like the heavy set riveted fender flares. These look so minimalist and functional!
Wondering if you are still satisfied with this setup. Seems like a good way to go. Can't seem to find it online though. Anyone know if it's been discontinued, or just supply chain issues? Thanks!
Its been fantastic. It sadly has been discontinued. Someone here in the comments has found prior stock on ebay and similiar products out there.
What about the rubber mat, did it fit back in without cutting it? or was it to tight?
You can squish it in there. But for a clean look you will need to cut it.
@@aspiringadventure Thanks buddy - OCD say no cut, no drilling.. Did the adhesive work well for you over time?
@@FloJeepXJ Yes, im pleasantly surprised. Ive had the tablet and phone mount cruising down the washboard roads with 100 degrees baking the dash and it hasnt bunged. I did a really good job cleaning and prepping the area too. Also put those weights on it over night too press it real good.
Can you rotate it?
Each one can be flipped but since the angle of the dash is not flat it changes the level. I have seen guys do it though.
@@aspiringadventure like can I easily rotate the phone to the side? Sorry if it doesn’t make sense. Like I’m driving and throw a video on the phone and want to rotate it sideways.
@@CusterFinancialCoaching oh yeah the actual phone mount can be flipped super quick. Ive done that alot.
@@aspiringadventure nice thank you. I looked on the website and it seems like they have a variety of things to put the phone in. Looks like they can rotate. Does the phone get hot in the winter if you have the heat going in the vents?
@@CusterFinancialCoaching I have mine angled just outside the vent area so it doesnt get direct heat on it. So far so good.
I really don't see why people purposely abuse their vehicles.
If you dont get it, then why did you watch it?
@@aspiringadventure Because I wanted to see who gets stuck or whose shit breaks. But also, thinking of getting a 4 inch lift and even though I'm never thinking of doing that... it's good to know the truck can handle it.... ONLY if I have no other roads and it's an emergency.... I personally don't have the money to take a 30-60K vehicle and try to push it to it's breaking point..... Now if you had a cheaper second hand vehicle that can be afforded a sacrifice...YES, play and have fun!! Thanks for your sacrifices... I get it... it's about getting views for $$$... Be safe.
If you have to ask, you will never understand
It's because it is great getting outdoors enjoying GODS Amazing Creations and a whole unmeasurable more greater than sitting at the house on your keyboard. Try it you might like it!!!!
But ball joints aren't really the lift kit itself granted a lift is he'll on ball joints. But how durable is the actual lift parts.
The ball joints are part of the upper control arms that come with the kit for the increased angle. So i would say they are a key part of the lift. The rest of the kit is steel spacers and new shocks. Got alittle surface rust but held up as expected.
@@aspiringadventure oh that kit was control arms and all. Well I'm just trying to see the material quality cause I'm looking at one of the lifts they sell that is basically just spacers
How do they hold up running threw drive thru car washes I go threw them once a week and was wondering if going threw the car wash will knock them off?
Thats a good question. My truck is too big to fit in the one I have here. However I hit it with a good pressure washer and brushes all the time. Not to mention the trees and brush that scrap it on the trail. Its held up really well. Just make sure to really clean before install and it'll be fine I bet.
If you love your car only have it hand washed!
