He is right about everything except the interpretation of remembering To remember is to remember literally You sit in meditation and remember walking to the shops, you remember going to work But you must sit in the memory and watch it like a movie, not a flash of remembrance, But a wallow in the memory for as long as possible Then you practice practice practice Enjoy yourself, remember who you are and who we all are

I do Zazen and a focused meditation daily. I have a very active mind and the focused meditation is the best way for me to step outside of thought. I do mine lying down, I find a spot on the ceiling and I focus on that spot like it was my life. This might sound esoteric but focused meditation made my eyesight , hearing, taste, and smell all better. It also made my mood much better and gave me strength to overcome addictions. Mine is a long story so I will keep it short. God bless anyone in this comment section who reads this, and I recommend meditation above all other practices.🙏☸️☯️☦️🕉️

You are a champ for posting this. I practiced meditation for ten years, stopped and fell back into anxiety, addiction and depression, now I’m back and doing better in a month then in the last ten years. I have watched dozens of videos on how to do Zazen and even read the book, zen practice. The book was hard to follow because the explanation on breathing was very confusing on length and how to cultivate samadhi. None of the other videos I’ve watched were detailed enough or I had to watch captions . So far I’m only 15 minutes and learned more then in the last twenty years trying to learn proper Zazen. Thanks again! ☸️☯️

Dear Meido Roshi. Thank you for taking the time to prepare the In-depth Guide video. I never knew that so-called "counting numbers method" is for my whole being to be one with it, not me observing the number counting. It is also helpful to learn that after I stick my belly forward a little, I should slightly tuck my pelvis. I sit on kneeling bench. As I grew up in Japan, I can count as "hitooooo tsu, futaaaaa tsu, etc." This way of counting seems to sync better with breathing. Question: Can I inhale with "tsu"? Another question: Do you lead online group zazen sessions? As I live in California, I am unable to attend in-person sessions in Wisconsin. From Kazuyo

For me, the view of empty spaciousness is significant BUT the FEELING of it is both profound & yet indescribable other than thrilling or joyful. Wnen i first noticed my body is INSIDE of me - still, silent presence - it felt WONDERFUL! This comes & goes yet its quite easy to recover when i remember that i am just presence rather than a temporary material form. Thank you for the insight/practice. ❤

“La ilaha illallah” means “there's no God but God”. The world Allah derives from “Al-Ilah” which literally means “The God”. The meaning of this is NOT that only the God of Muslims is God. It merely means that other than God, let no other thing be worshipped as God.
