Funny how people care so much about Jane as Thor, Riri as Iron Heart, Sam as Captain America. Rhodey was the Iron Man of Secret Wars 1985. 'The creators intention' for James Rhodes was for him not to be a hero at any stage, but these characters are corporate not independently owned. Things will change, if you dont like it dont read it. And when it inevitably changes back you can see if you like that take. Read what you like.

I remember Dark Knight Returns being part of English in High School over here in Australia when I was a kid. It's one of the earliest times I remember seeing an actual comic book (not Asterix & Obelix or Tin Tin) being available in a library. Also if we are in The Matrix they got the cheap programmers 😅

Ivar Timewalker has really piqued my interest, sounds like a great read. I've always wanted to read Squadron Supreme but the JLA knock off factor sort of put me off, but it being an originator of a lot of stories has me interested, see how wordy it is might be a slight challenge though, looks like it puts Claremount to shame!

That Winter Soldier storyline was so epic & mindblowing at the time (& still is really). Brubaker is one of the greatest Captain America writers of all time!

It's funny how people get annoyed about the Spider-man vs X-Men fight. He doesn't really 'beat' them. He hits them and runs away, probably because ehe knows he can't beat all of them together.

There are three or four volumes of Wilds end by Abnett. The final one came out last year.

I really enjoy the Matrix Supergirl/Superman fighting Superman by Stern and Perez. It came after the Exile era. Johns and Frank's Brainiac vs Superman and Supergirl was also great, as well as all of Michael Turner's fights in Superman/Batman.

And now Ben Percy has just wrapped two simultaneous 50 issue runs. Greg Pak and Charles Soule have current long runs on star wars titles. But rhey are exceptions to the rule. Jason aaron and dan slott had 50 plus issue runs with avengers and FF respectively.

I remember feeling like that with DC (or that I was regularly getting pushed) with the likes of Infinite Crisis, Zero Hour, New 52 etc is that something that has changed with current DC?

Being both an inhuman and mutant fan. Inhumans are amazing characters but people always sh*ts on them because of the grudge they have from the time Marvel sideline the xmen because of Fox rights. Technically, if I will live in the Marvel universe. I will pick to be inhuman because I wouldn't have to deal with humans and their hate for mutants, I won't have to have a war on every faction and I won't be face with a life threatening event as often as the xmen does. XMEN are amazing but theoretically it's better to be an inhuman as a character in that marvel universe you will not be knocking on deaths door every destructive event happening cause you are probably in the moon.

Finally, someone not praising Williamson's Flash run. I thought i was insane. I agree that DC made Williamson their Bendis in the wake of Snyder, Johns and Morrison leaving. I dont think any of Williamson's work has clicked with me either. Maybe his Green Arrow, bur thats more to do with Sean Izaakse who ive followed since Stray. Love that.

Ive always wanted Geoff Johns to write FF also. Id want Gary Frank on covers and back up stories. Mike McKone on the main story. Id love a new Legion of Superheroes series. Tomasi and gleason would be great for this. Gail Simone would do a great team book for this also focusing on the human side. Dan Mora on art.

Millar and collaborators sold their rights to Millarworld properties, besides Kingsmen and Wanted. Millar is now an employee of netflix who chose to move their IP to dark horse as they already did stranger things and altered carbon, et cetera there. I think Millar is an executive producer or consulting producer. I knoq way too much about a person whose work im not a big fan of.
