What is an ATP?

Was very enlightening and inspiring to pursue getting the lic and a gyro unit...at least look into with a much more serious consideration.

Question can a large person fly one of these? I'm 6'3" 270 LBS. How comfortable is it with a larger person flying? What's the maximum weight of both people in the gyroplane? Love the videos really like how calm the instructors are.

How many lessons has the guy received? I see him in so many videos.

BTW, another potential application for gyrocopters (and especially unmanned ones) is maritime surveillance of smaller bodies of water such as the Baltic sea. e.g. Goggle A new stage of Russian hybrid warfare and read my comment on that site (which I reference this video here). And in regard to unmanned gyrocopters one might Goggle GT20 Gyrotrak UAV in flight

Do you make those gyroplanes or do you use a certain make / model?

Thanks Henri for haring all these amazing video's with us. But I do have 1 complain about some video's.... They are sometimes to short 😂. I am not a pilot but my goal Next year is to do a lesson in Lelystad airport netherlands. If I was near you I would Come and take a lesson with you. Every drunkards dream. It alerts you when cows are in the way. If ya see what looks like a exploded feather pillow behind you that was a duck flying 60 MPH that lost the race and committed suicide by fanblade. I suppose the next thing is a tanker to refuel that thing in the air.

Seems like a lot of vibration in the cabin judging by the vibrating control stick. It's this normal?

I think the modern Gyrocopter has probably had allot of improvements and advances since the Bensen gyrocopters of the 1960's.

Is it possible to safely make a vertical landing (with no forward motion) with no headwind? How much would the rate of decent be?

I totally get the down side to amphib but I am very interested. I'm close to retirement and need to know more. I am currently ATP CFII SEL MEL AND SES. If I get land gyrocopter rated will I need additional training to add floats? Oh, does ELA do a float version and with MOSAIC coming out will a medical be required for a jump version?

A high risk high reward gyro. They talk about the number of gyro accidents on take-off and how the Revo will fix that. Let's see how long it takes for someone to injure themselves with this new design. If it's reliable and safe, then it's high reward and well done. If people crash, then the whole concept could get grounded and buyers lose big bucks trying. I hope ELA have built in some safety interlocks before 'jump flight' is engaged. Given that they aren't allowed to be sold here in the UK because they can't meet the right quality standards to do so, I wouldn't want to be a test pilot personally. But I have to confess that the concept will bring some welcome interest in gyro flight in general.

This is the 2nd time I watch a video where the gyro is flying above houses This is not allowed in Europe. Is is allowed on the States?

I was impressed by these headsets while watching your Oshkosh video. Now, with the 15% discount, I am seriously thinking about converting. Video suggestion: Compare the side-by-side with the tandem. Advantages of each, along with suggestions of who would be better suited for the Cavallon, and who would be suited for the tandem. I like the idea of the Revo, but all my Flying has been left seat side-by-side.

I love the term gyroplane. Gyrocopter. Tends to confuse people. Since Gyro Plains. Are not Vertical takeoff.

On the impossible turn you are landing down wind! How would things go if you were taking off in a 20 mph headwind?

Notice his audio sucks compared to her's since her mic placement is at a proper distance from her mouth. Not sure why proper mic placement is not taught to pilots since communication is critical to safety.

The safer mantra for turns around a point is, "TRAFFIC, ALTITUDE, POINT", "TRAFFIC ALTITUDE , POINT" "ETC" When you stop looking for TRAFFIC, you are looking for TROUBLE !
