Cherish every single moment with your daddy. Keep your memories alive. This reminds me of when I used to do things with my daddy, but he’s gone now and I’m thankful for the memories of every single thing we did. God bless you.
The expression on her face was worth a million bucks. Something you just cannot buy. Great job to all. As an old pilot, this just made me smile ear to ear. : )
My first look aboard a gyroplane---terrific! As the father of two daughters whom I love to tears, I get the father-daughter experience completely. Jeremy have every right to feel proud.
+@mxyzptlyk or that she had been up since 4 am at her first job and since she works 3 jobs total, this was the only time she had available to go fly with me.
You can tell how much he trusts the aircraft bringing Kyla up with him, I would trust him and the aircraft just because of that and only because of that
She has amazingly beautiful smile and seems to have a great personality. Great dad and great daughter. Question now is, Is she going to take up flying too?
Thanks for that short hop, nice Gyro copter. Kyla said we are on the ground, great landing Dad what more could you want other then lunch together and talk about the first flight....
In 2016 took a Helicopter flight in Hawaii...then 2 wks later was at Pearl Harbor Memorial and MY Helicopter crashed in front of me INTO PEARL HARBOR and I got it on video. Got a Playlist of it all on my Channel. Footage went viral, my phone exploded with news reporters. I landed on Good Morning America turn down the Today show haha Crazy memories.
Congratulations on the License and the first flight with your daughter ! I did the same when I got my private 39 years ago (1985). We are (relatively) neighbors. I live in Corona and believe you have transited the airspace above our house ;) Things have sure changed in aviation... Corona was L66 back then. Got my Instrument at Chino in '87.
I remember back in the olden days wanting to build and fly a gyrocopter! I still have my set of Bensen plans, and the free trim tab that came with them, but never got around to building one. The plans also included membership in the Popular Rotorcraft Association which I expect is long gone by now. In the early 2000's I finally got off the ground via PG and PPG (paragliders) and even put in some airtime over nearby Lake Elsinore. Thanks for taking me along on your flight around Mathews!
Gotta love it Jeremy! The energy and excitement was great and it appeared as you both had a great time. Sharing an exciting adventure is always a high in my book. For a man that can't drive or ride a motorcycle, you have mastered flight! Great job! (You know I had to go there!)
Amphibious floats are a must for unlimited adventures. Nothing like dropping in on a small mountain lake for a weekend of camping and fishing. How about landing on a straight stretch of river and beaching on your own private beach. Whether it's gyros or LSAs, amphibious is a must.
Thanks Jeremy, I love the Adventure Air videos. If something like that gyro had been available in the early 90s when I was flying, I would probably still be flying. Are you going to let your gorgeous daughter take gyro lessons?
Reading wind direction and speed on the water. The upwind shore will have calm water along it. The stronger the wind the narrower the width of the calm band. Speed, if the water is showing white streaks, the speed is about 12 knots. The streaks will be aligned with the wind direction. If there are white caps on the waves the speed is about 20 knots.
Nice flying. I know someone that flew gyroplanes a lot. He said that they handle high winds well. He also said that he had a few engine failures but landed no problem. I stay on the ground and fly quadcopters using goggles lol
These modern gyroplanes are usually Rotax powered which have a very high reliability record and Rotax has made more engines that Lycoming and Continental combined.
good stuff watching her face climbing out. reminds me of my 1st flight scared to death at first but it wasn't long before she started to relax and enjoy it
Nice, remember my first flight, in the back left seat in a Cessna 172, couldn't see sh*t, bored as, went to sleep, got accused of being sick, second flight in the same Cessna 172 in the right hand front seat. Was way better with my hands on the yoke. Nice job with hat Captain, got one camera, the other was in the back 😉 Loved, the spit the gum bit. 😂 My particular favs are an Auster and a Tiger Moth, both of which I have flown and a Cheeta, a Chipmunk and Harvard [T6]. Haven't been lucky enough to get a ride in any Ultralights, yet. Good luck with the Gyro m8s!
Greetings from Jakarta, Indonesia 🇮🇩 hopefully this video 🎥 will be more interesting -- and will be coming another great and wonderful video to all of us 😊😎👍👍👍👍👍Bravo 😊
Interesting that the main rotor isn't started until on the active runway. No instrument or run up checks before take off or was that edited out? And you're a good dad for taking her gum in your hand, she seemed quite amused!
You can start the rotor prior to entering the runway but you run the risk of blade flap if you aren't careful. It's actually only a difference of about 20 seconds. Solid procedure is better than being quick. Yes, we edit things out to keep the flow of the video going. Thanks for watching!
Gyros have a better glide than choppers but not by much about 4:1 so no where near as good as most fixed wings. However they can land on the spot. My last engine failure I had to land in waist high grass i had a foot ground roll. So it opens up a lot of places to land but not if flying over forest or large bodies of water.
A good video however I would have liked seeing the Gyroplane from the outside. Say before you left, in order to get a better idea of what you were flying, See you on your next video-
😮 Its so cool when you get to that point where your relaxed and really get to enjoy sharing the flight. Its a milestone and you got to share that with your daughter. Just got done driving from KC to Portland ME with my daughter. It could only have been better if we were flying. First vid I saw of yours. Did you learn in a gyro or move to one? PS tip Yawning and getting tired can be the first sign of motion sickness and it can come on very quickly after.
Took 33 hours of helicopter training with 3 hours solo before she was born. I have my sport pilot - gyroplane certificate now. Well, she had been up since 4 am at her first job so she was pretty tired. Thanks for watching!
I enjoyed watching! I was wondering why you taken the runway instead of vertically talking off? That would be a great toy to own! What were your cruise speeds by the way?
+@retiredtom1654 It is an experimental built, AutoGyro Cavalon with a Rotax 914 engine and big bore kit. This one is actually for sale. You can also buy FAA type certified AutoGyro models.
I really hope you and your daughter had an awesome time flying together. I hope one day to be able to fly like that with my kids. They are all grown up, so I need to retake my flying lessons again.
Thanks dad for taking me flying 😊 I had a great time and can’t wait to go again!!
_Priceless memories..._ 🙏
ha, thanks for taking us all flying. Cool video!
The first of many flights! The perspective from above gives one a whole different outlook on the beauty that is Mother Nature.

Very nice Jeremy! Kyla’s facial expressions on climb out were priceless!😂😂😂👍
Right!? That was so cute. She did get used to the flight pretty quickly.
How lovely to still have that special relationship between father and daughter x
Great that he got to share this with his daughter.
My first look aboard a gyroplane---terrific! As the father of two daughters whom I love to tears, I get the father-daughter experience completely. Jeremy have every right to feel proud.
I was always told that if a passenger falls asleep while you are flying, you can take it as a great compliment to your piloting skills👍🏼
Or that they're bored.
+@mxyzptlyk or that she had been up since 4 am at her first job and since she works 3 jobs total, this was the only time she had available to go fly with me.
Exactly
+@milesbrown8016 guess you didn't watch the whole video, discussing how she was up at 4 am for work.
@@AdventureAir Yes, I did.
Can tell how much she trusts dad that she is falling asleep. Thats a great relationship.

Well Done, Dad! That was fun watching her expressions all through the flight.
Great video Jeremy! Congratulations becoming a Gyroplane pilot! Enjoy the Adventure..
Great video. Congrats Jeremy for your flying and sharing the trip with Kyla. Looking forward to many more adventures to come.
The look on her face as they took off was priceless!
She has amazingly beautiful smile and seems to have a great personality. Great dad and great daughter. Question now is, Is she going to take up flying too?
Hey folks, That was really relaxing and enjoyable. Sooths the soul like a Bob Ross video. The scenery is gorgeous. Many thanks for the ride! 😀
what an awesome memory you two will always be able to share with one another. cherish those moments.
Kayla looking good and she have always keep smiling! All is right, daddy cool! Perfekt flight! ❤❤❤❤❤Have a good time!
Quality time. Love the expressions on her face during climb out.
Great video!!!
Thanks for that short hop, nice Gyro copter. Kyla said we are on the ground, great landing Dad what more could you want other then lunch together and talk about the first flight....
Congratulations! Thank you for sharing your adventures with us.
Thanks for watching!
In the real world of normal people dads and daughters get on with each other and do stuff. Good too see and good flight.
Only till the female starts to make eggs. Then ole Dad is discarded. Dont ask if you don't know.

Fly too drive though restraint loickk food up
Drove along side of Lake Mathews countless times but never over it ……Thanks for sharing
Kyla is a cutie!
I always found gyros like a lovely flying couch. So relaxing in the air.
She seems to be very relaxed and chill 🤐

Another fan of turbulence... I love it.
That was a lot of fun to watch.
Would have been nice if you included a quick walk around so we could see the outside of the plane.
Well, when you all were taking off, her Expression went Cold ! She was Freaking out inside ! HAhaha !
That's great. Maybe Dad can teach Kyla how to fly a gyroplane someday when she has had more sleep...Lol. Be safe.
Kyla's excitement made this even more fun!
Reminds me of my helicopter days. I'm sure glad I did that.
Chino airport is not far from me.
How cool is that? Wish I could ride in that gyroplane.
If you ever find yourself in southern California, come on by for a discovery flight!

We fly over to Corona to practice all the time. Interesting factoid, Jeremy is a retired police officer from Corona PD.
A landing you can walk away from is a good one. If you can use the aircraft afterwards it's a great one!

Couldn’t have said that better, LOL 💯

That’s real fun, father daughter bonding. These are the priceless moments of life
Wow. Such an adventure for a dad to take his teenage daughter on her first flight in a two-seater gyrocopter.

Don't feel bad about getting tired. My sister would fall asleep when we flew at night in the Cessna 172. 🙂 Something about the prop noise.

Jeremy sir, quick idea: video would even more interesting if pilot did a brief walk-around of the aircraft explaining main things. Cheers!
Any landing without broken parts is a good landing!

Hi from the UK. Nice aircraft and well done. It's always fun flying with someone for the first time.

Your daughter is a real cutie, you could tell she was nervous. great video.
Kyla should take lessons and get her certificate and rating. Never been in a gyro, but I love flying low and watching the ground go by.
