This is the FASTEST Mountain Bike Trail in Oregon (…and it is CHUN-KY)!
Mt. Ashland is one of the best mountain bike shuttle locations in the western USA. With paved road access to the top, and over 5000' of vertical terrain with multiple single track descent options, it is truly a destination worth going out of you way for.
Time Warp trail takes a little effort to get out to, forcing you to warm up your legs with a short gravel road climb - but it's well worth the cardio when it comes to the chunky rock gardens, blistering speeds, loamy dirt, and scenic alpine views. Throw in a few rock drops, a few log jumps, and it has all the ingredients of a timeless classic mountain bike trail.

The dirt on Mount Shasta is usually mood dust and loose. But sometimes if there's a little rain it's hero dirt, and sometimes in the late fall it's just frozen and sketchy. I ventured out last December and rode a good lap below the snow line, but it took more than a few turns before the dirt got soft. I was really stoked when I heard that these trails (which aren't even back on Trailforks yet) had been rebuilt! They were some of the best proper DH double black diamond trails in the Cumberland network. Of course I' talking about "Grub", ""Stub", and "Pity the Fool." Some recent snow meant our ride today was kept at lower elevations, but we still found some great turns and features on some all time trails in Cumberland, BC. Starting on Truffle Shuffle, then linking into Teapot, That Dam Trail, and then over to Crafty Butcher and finishing on Bonestorm. It was a mixture of hero dirt, snow, ice, mud and frost, with plenty of squeaking brakes and good times!

My first lap back after a few months and I think my suspension hates me! Chunder is a chunky double-black tech trail in Cumberland, BC, and it's got a few decent sized drops in there too. Flagline Trail in Bend, OR is a Beautiful Alpine Descent!

This trail is Flagline in Bend, OR. It's closed to all use until August 15th every year for Elk calving, and then it might see first snow in October. This is Southfork trail in Bend, Oregon, and this is actually part of a bigger project that I am working on, so stay tuned for that when it comes out! Southfork is a great descent! It's about 3 miles of natural, rooty, alpine feeling singletrack that drops down toward Tumalo Falls.

Five years after the devastation of the Carr fire in Redding, CA, there's a noticeable revival of beauty and growth in the forests and trails. Enticer and Snail Trail in the Swazey Recreation Area are two of the local favorites, so might as well get them both in one ride!
Mt Shasta Boulder DH Trail

This trail is one of my all time favorite shuttle DH trails on Mount Shasta. This footage was from earlier this year when I was maybe too ambitious early in the season before all the snow was gone and the trail was cleared for riding. The most iconic feature of this trail is a natural tunnel formed by massive boulders that the trail goes through. Otherwise it's just steep, chunky tech.
