In the the States now hard ass, killer instinct men are all the rage. Foyle is the ultimate opposite of that dreadful Clint Eastwood type. High intelligence, reserve, being ethical, is clearly very attractive, given the comments of the ladies below. Thank god for their emotional sanity!

I could watch Michael Kitchen 1000 times just for those unique expressions, tilt of head, his expressive eyes, hint of grimace, slight lip movement. I wish he’d do another series like Foyle’s War.

……Michael Kitchen has ALWAYS been an excellent actor, honing his skills’ from the beginning of his career, to the epitome in ‘Foyle’s War’. When he tells a couple of miscreants’ in separate episodes’, ‘you’ll be hanged’, it really hit home to me. His summation of the panel who let the ‘German woman’ not be incarcerated, in his talk with the Police Commissioner, was brilliant. Suffice to say if M K is in a film, or show, I’ll watch it…………

Time passes and all our lives change, but this series will never grow old. This little video is a special reminder of the gorgeous relationship between these two characters and of the fabulous way that Honeysuckle Weeks and Michael Kitchen keep the memories alive. The memorable scripts handled the relationship between the two actors so delicately and sensitively and never stretched credulity to breaking point. I don’t think it’s insensitive of me to suggest that there was real life perfection between them that was perfectly in accord with that of their on-screen characters.

I want to be a kitchenette Jilly .great actor first saw him as a kid in Dracula AD1973 as a hippie with the lovely Caroline Munroe . Just got better and better career wise and aged mighty fine !! like a good redwine Montrachet lets raise a glass to him .

In these two performances I see possibly the most carefully nuanced & thoughtfully refined acting performances by a male & a female that I've encountered in my lifetime.
