We have visited this house last week. This is really an excellent house which is brand new and in mint condition with very good materials being applied. The living room and the kitchen are really cosy and large, and the view on the mountains is stunning. It is just that we decided to live in another part of Portugal, otherwise this would have been for sure our number one choice! Well done!

The end comments are almost true. Except that that damp on all the walls needs to be dealt with before it creeps up into the first floor. That takes another 50-80k€ off! Way too expensive unless the damp was treated before the sale.

Was that the main power cable running across the roof line out on that veranda? European wiring is truly awful. Do they not have a regulating body? If they do then they need a kick in the pants!

Such a shame. This was a lovely property once but now it's so badly neglected it will cost a fortune to renovate. As an electrician with 45years in the trade I used to see a lot of these. This place will need to be gutted, completely re-wired (what you showed us doesn't comply with any regulations I know of and is potentially lethal), there's damp in the masonry and the heating system will need to be replaced as a minimum.

The seller is not even remotely realistic. It's a laughable asking price for a bunch of ugly, illegal, poorly constructed "structures".

So basically everything else has to go, not viable at this price.

Way, way overpriced for the condition it's in. I'd say no-one will pay more than €100-120k, given they'd need to spend a substantial sum more to bring it up to the standard of modern day comfort.

Why would you want to buy a property which already has the planning updates spelt out ? When you buy something like this you generally have your own ideas about what you would do with it - somebody else is not likely to fit your ideas !! I just felt an extreme annoyance at the very idea ! Obviously somebody was in process of getting ready to improve this place & then backed out !
