You'll drastically improve matters by getting the deepest shag pile carpet or rug under your sub and covering as much of the floor as possible. Also some nice thick velvet curtains covering all your windows. Also use a fwd firing sealed unit as opposed to down firing driver or ported unit, especially if the floor is hard and shiny. I don t know a lot about subwoofers, however i recently read that there other types of these for movies and other for music.I am looming for music mostly, no home theater, so i d like your opinion about which one to look for. Someone said a REL d be good for this purpose, however i don t even know the brand so,i want it as a " nice" fill up of the sound, i am not aiming to tear down a wall, so what is your suggestions ? Thank you.

I scored a fantastic Black Friday deal on the REL HT1003 MKII, and it’s absolutely amazing. The fit and finish are top-notch, with no scratches or imperfections straight out of the box. It reaches impressively low frequencies-I measured bass down to 24 Hz, with a noticeable boost in the early 30s Hz range. The sub stays firmly in place without bouncing around, even at higher volumes. The sound is clear and tight, blending seamlessly with my Elac speakers, all driven by my trusty (albeit aging) Arcam 10 with the DAVE HT module handling the LFE signal. My only minor gripe is that the sub's amp requires slightly higher volume levels to auto switch on, especially during low-volume TV watching. It works fine with music and activates reliably during Dolby Digital broadcasts, likely due to the stronger LFE signal in those cases. However, it can be a bit picky with quieter TV or movie scenes, which is something to consider.

Jaguar could make the best car in the world now (which they won't) ,but because their new image/rebranding is jaguar drivers/owners are poofy super gay pervs, I wouldn't be buying one even if they gave them away. Way to destroy your loyal base ownership.

I found the Atari website but I see no process for buying it. Register for an account?, no, only a log in screen. I can't buy on Amazon, Walmart and ebay don't have it yet. The only game I can tolorate on that gamestation pro is Galixy gunners because I can just keep continuing the game from where I left off no matter how bad I am at it. These some weird things come after me in that game, the game designers must had been dropping acid. My main gripe with all these new consoles is I can't play my fav Donkey Kong port, Colicovision but if it works I have the old console looking like it has seen better days. I may need to enlist help to lift the power adapter up to the outlet. Again, game designers messed up on drugs.

A great review, balanced and detailed, of a product that other reviewers just gush over to the point of monotony. REL have a lot of explaining to do. That said, for stereo music I think it's still a contender for me. If anything, RELs are overpriced. They remind me of some luxury watch brands: hype and branding pushing maximum sales vs quality and reliability. I will demo and compare in a shop.
