    Instead of weighing the crockpot could you take everything out of the crockpot when it’s done and zero out a bowl and get the weight of everything that was cooked that way? And still weigh every ingredient beforehand in grams ?

  • @andresmolinares5932
    @andresmolinares5932 3 місяці тому

    Hey, so if I add water do I just add that in grams ??? Or do I not need to add it to the weight ? Will it evaporate ? I’m not sure if I add it to the weight but then it evaporates if it will be accurate ?

    • @LeighaChristine

      taking the total weight at the end when everything is cooked accounts for any water lost through cooking !

    So your advice is to take it easy and rest a bit. Now that's some entry level advice! You showed the muscles responible for keeping our back straight but you didn't explain why a persons back would hurt after a deadlift.

    • @LeighaChristine
      @LeighaChristine 5 місяців тому

      Did you watch the whole video? Towards the end I said (paraphrasing here) “if your lower back is sore after deadlifts it might be because those muscles were placed under greater tension than they’re used to.” So I did in fact say why. Let me know if you need me to clarify further to clear up any confusion you may have :)

    • @LeighaChristine

      they’re bumper plates! specifically made for things like deadlifting and Olympic lifts - they’re larger than metal plates so you can get in the proper starting position for those types of lifts. 😊

    Ooooo the dress??? I think I need it!!? I def want to get a closer look at the fabric I can’t have headbands on my ears and I’m jealous of everyone else who can! I just don’t like the feeling!

    • @LeighaChristine
      @LeighaChristine 5 місяців тому

      I can definitely see how the headband could feel weird over the ears!!😄 I posted some high quality images of the dress today on my IG - and if it helps this is the breakdown of the fabric: 65% Viscose, 28% Acrylic, 7% Spandex. After putting it on again today I do think I could easily size down for a little less fabric since it is so stretchy!!

    • @LeighaChristine
      @LeighaChristine 6 місяців тому

      of course they are! I wrote *constant* supersets, meaning every exercise you do doesn’t need to be superset after superset. There should be a mixture of straight sets and supersets. A lot of people think more is always better, but there is a time and place to do a straight set vs making everything a superset. That’s what I was trying to get across in this short video haha. 😄

    • @LeighaChristine
      @LeighaChristine 6 місяців тому

      I’d just measure it in grams. For example, egg whites are similar in that they’re liquid. On the nutrition label it has the tbs and then the grams in parentheses! I hope that answers your question. Let me know :)

    Congrats on finishing your first marathon! I did my first one in May of this year and am aiming to do another in early spring 2024. I also have done trail races here and there, and had done strength training (mostly bodyweight + kettlebells) for a few years before ever running regularly. I think it helped me not fall apart once mileage started ramping up, (espec as I am 50 next month!) Anyway, I wish you luck in the lottery and thank you for sharing your experiences.

    Hey! I’m a new sub, cool channel and looking forward to your future videos. One piece of advice to you I learned: never do a long run in a new pair of shoes. Break them in and learn the shoe first. Also, have you ever tried a max cushion shoe? Those might be more desirable for those slower, pounding long runs. Thanks for posting!

    • @LeighaChristine
      @LeighaChristine 8 місяців тому

      thank you! totally agree :) I did a few runs in them before that long run, but still, just don't think it was the shoe for me. It would've been better for a speed workout I think! I tend to wear max cushion shoes normally like my Hoka Cliftons - definitely a better choice for me!

    I'd suggest you go easy on the ham, do the alternate ice and hear routine. I'm sure you already know this. I had a slight tear in my ham, took some time off and did light training a month before CIM. I took a chance and did the race and at mile 13, it tore and I had to DNF. Only you know what your body can handle. Good luck in your race !

    • @LeighaChristine
      @LeighaChristine 10 місяців тому

      Thank you! I know I only really talked about the color in the video, but I did end up choosing based on the benefits, not color :) I would’ve gotten the Mach X if I just chose based on color haha but they were too tight in the mid foot which is why I went with the other shoes. The Mach 5 I think would be good for speed work or shorter runs for me, so I’m going to probably just run in my Clifton’s since they have more cushion. Glad I was able to figure it out before race day at least!😊
