If you use high pressure steam to drive your steam turbines then you are probably missing out on a lot of power because of this one weird bug. I explain the problem in this video and demonstrate some ways to fix it.

The truth is that cooling regolith for power is a bit questionable. It's hard to cool a lot of it and it doesn't have much heat capacity, so the power you can make is limited. BUT there are other reasons to cool it, here's one way to go about it.

Shove voles drop more meat than any other critter. This build can feed over 300 dupes with a rather simple vole ranch. You can extend it to feed 1000's of dupes or until your frame rate starts to puke.

My new favorite by far, this is a basic heat-to-steam-turbine volcano tamer. It requires no steel and the efficiency target it hits is PERFECTION. The concept it uses is passive and simple (and great for other things). You'll need some plastic and some lead.

This can be built as soon as you have plastic and oil. It's the first real cooling I use other than wheezeworts (usually). It's nothing new or mind-bending, but it's a useful reference for my upcoming videos and a good way to do early-ish cooling that new players may like.
