John Nah Nah Wood or .....let's call him Crimson Jack lol.....Anyway, that guy, he reminds me A LOT of Maul in Rebels.....the ominous "meant to be reassuring" half answers.....voluntarily leaving parts of the story/lying by omission/letting the kids and the audience make their own conclusion. Could "Crimson Jack" have learned a few things about the force from the leader of Crimson Dawn? Idk....I think he'll end up being a "flawed" good guy....Yes he probably wants the treasure (there could be a reason), but I think him taking the title of captain away from Fern was a way to protect her....If they get captured, who is going to be able handle it better? Him or that bossy kid?....Yes yes, she'll eventually become a super awesome leader....but she's not there yet.)

Interesting point about SM-33 being murderous, then "fixed" at the start of this episode. There's been talk about whether he would continue to accept Fern as captain if he remembers how his captain died (some don't believe his captain died). And this was part of the motivation for Jod taking charge. But I just see it as him having that overwhelming desire for riches, and doesn't want the kids getting in his way. So instead of a reward for rescue, or even a ransom, he's going to try to steal a shipload of Old Republic Credits from the planet. Also some have half-seriously said the rat that lives in his eye socket is important: SM-33 has never spoken about it, to my knowledge; he ignores it. Also odd that a rat (or rats) could be living in the sealed ship for say 100-200 years without running out of food. If it was sentient and long-lived then maybe it could just survive. But it looks like it couldn't turn on SM-33. Or this could just be a goof that they didn't think about.

One thing that really has stood out over the years is that George Lucas isn't much of a romantic. Romantic concepts fly over his head like the Tantive VI in '77. Poor Marsha. Must've been pretty stale.

I think he is genuinely a force user, but that doesnt men Jedi or Sith. People dont learn to use the force only becuse they trained with Jedi, empirical learning is possible. Plus, he couldve been a padawan. I just think it would be more contrived for him to not be a Force User. We did see him more than just pull thibgs to himself, we did se him divert Fern's attack with ease without touching her. I mean, obviously he doesnt seem to rely on the Force, which might mean that he isnt well versed in using it, but knows enough to pull of simple things. Like someone who learnt some ability at a young age but never trained it

I don't know why but how crazy would it be if there's a scene the next episode where he's pinned down or something. And he kills everyone with the lightsaber like he would if he had that blade still. That would be dark.

I agree that Jod isn't a Jedi, but he may have been a padawan, or was the child of or somehow related to a Jedi. Good catch spotting at least 1 droid on At Achrann, and your theory about something on that planet messing with SM-33, which may account for significant events in it's history leading to why the tower is now called "The Fallen Sanctum". Mark my words though, Jod's turn against the kid was to protect them. He paused and thought too long at the end of the episode, leading me to believe he realized something and came up with a plan. The way he held the cutting side to Fern at the end was just for show. Until the show says or does something to prove otherwise, that's my theory I'd bet my bantha on.😄

Jod may not be a Jedi, but he can definitely use the Force. He has been doing more than moving objects. He has been using mind tricks from the start.

This particular pool of acid could corrode most matter, except for gold, the hallmark treasure for pirates.

I doubt that the acid killed ALL the pirates.

I think KB hoped that she had fixed SM33 but she didn’t know for certain. I think his memory block and being back on the planet was messing with him. Not something all droids would have to deal with.

Jod's power isn't simply magnets because he's not just pulling things to him. He also pushes Fern's attack away.

I'd assume all the droids were destroyed in the cattle raiding wars between the local factions. If these guys are willing to throw kids into battle, they do the same with the droids until no more droids were left.

Rogue one was the little story in between a story that filled a gap and didn't really change much or did it? The plans were leaked to make the Death Star's destruction part of an inside job taking a lot of the thunder away from Luke using the force guide his torpedo to blow it up. It was still the force in play but now it is all out that the slave workers sabotaged it all.

That roof turret is a huge Checkov Gun. I bet it is there on the school in At Attin.

the bus had a droid.

I don't think we will see the other planets. There were images and video of At Achrann released before the episode but nothing of similar clone planets. The only other locations we have seen are of the resort and scrapyard, possibly on the same planet and the treasure cavern. Given some clues from background character costumes all three may even be on the same planet.

Excellent video. I really enjoy when youtubers talk about the plot and not about their hate. Brilliant analysis. I think those planets are experiments, and everyone is the same planet with different governments.

It was the most Star Wars thing ever. Its got so many hallmarks. -People get super thirsty for a villain. -There was at least one aspect that absolutely rocked. -The stoic good guy surrounded by bullshit ends up dead, discredited, or exiled. -At least one character was so badly written that people think the actor can't act. -A cool new lightsaber.

The Supervisor is an order 66 survivor that knew of At Attin’s because he was born on At Attin and being force-sensitive was taken in by the Jedi. The Jedi are the only group capable of hiding 9 planets for the Republic. The Jedi were charged with maintaining the peace on the At-Planets, and after order 66 the Jedi stopped coming to their aid causing 8 of the planets to fall in some way. The destruction of At Attin’s coordinates was the entire purpose of SM33 and the captain. A fallen Jedi would match up N.A. Nawood’s storyline. Nawood is also an order 66 survivor that turned to piracy to survive, but due to his Jedi training he took to stealing from the pirates, smugglers and other nefarious institutions. I would expect in the next couple of episodes Whims credits will be found in Jod’s possession, and he killed the Hattan’s instead of trading the credits. Disney seems to be setting up a duel between to order 66 survivors and how the two coped differently.

the RX series bus driver droid was on the tram broken and slightly dismantled but it's there but else where there aren't any droids so good catch there.

Good one about the droids! I watched a number of videos about episode 4, and this is the first that said it was missing droids! They have a tank that looks like it's from _The Phantom Menace_ but no battle droids that they could have bought! My next thought was that droids were running the planet (many have suggested that for At Attin since episode 1) but overthrown so it's taboo to have droids on the planet. But again, we didn't see how Jod and SM-33 were treated by the other tribe. Maybe it was as he said, he talked to them and bought the animals. Or he and SM-33 talked to them, and killed all the warriors, then took the animals? But yeah, several people are talking about them being experimental worlds. In this video it's implied the Great Work would be to provide long-term sociological data to help build better worlds. So having one without droids would be a factor. What would be some others? I think there's not enough information to say that At Achrann wasn't multi-species. They could have gone back to their own neighborhoods or other cities to protect themselves, and this area is just human-versus-human. I counted no more than 4 Neel-types in the testing center of 180 desks (not all desks and students shown). Of course since we didn't see anyone shoot or kill each other, there's the possibility they were playing at war, sounding like "Games without Frontiers" by Peter Gabriel. That would have made more sense if the adults on both sides had used kids who herd animals to scout "enemy" positions and conduct raids. But Jod's gun at the end was defective, which suggests it's show for off-worlders so they don't try to conquer them. The thing about the weapons: it's suggested the gun on the school was always there. So some think Neel will go home, go up to his school's roof and activate the gun to save the city from pirates. If there's no guns on At Attin then he can't do that. It's possible hand weapons and big guns are just locked up and not visible in day-to-day living. I wish the kids had learned conflict-resolution in school as part of being a peaceful society for 1000 years, and they could have negotiated a truce between the tribes, instead of Jod solving the problem off-screen for them.
