Not everyone is going to be happy no matter what is released. A portion of Star Wars existing fans will like it and likely there will be new Star Wars fans because of it.
Look I think it’s very simple. Star wars is not about young kids finding themselves on a silly side quest. If Lucasfilm wants to tell a story like that they need to make a new ip or do it with Willow. They are after all Lucasfilm, not Star Wars studio. Star Wars is about good vs evil, Jedi vs Sith. Light vs dark. It’s about how the force affects the galaxy and the people in it. It’s about destiny, redemption, hope, family, and mysticism. It’s always been family friendly, but not family movies. Just like how kids can watch and enjoy Captain America Winter Soldier but it’s not a kids movie. If anything I’d rather they lean into the older audiences and try to do more stuff like Andor. It’s clear that young people don’t care about Star Wars. So make something for the older crowd and you might be surprised how many young people also enjoy it. Look at Arcane. That show may look pretty but that show is not for kids whatsoever. But I bet tons of teenagers and preteens are watching it too. (Even though they probably shouldn’t).
Dude, i thought you were in your early 30's at the most. So I was not expecting you to say that you are in your 40's. About the show, i qas not interested at all until i saw whi were the directors. I might give it a try.

Great points, I agree completely.

I am optimistic now, and hope it’s fun.
Thanks, I turn 41 this year.
