Why we closed the sleeves at 10 or 2 o clock?
It is safer to keep the closure patch of sleeve at 10 or 2 O'clock because During lowering of pipe the cradle it rolled over the pipe coating so there is no abrasion over the patch. Also their pipe seam is in 10 or 2 O'clock position welded in alternate manners.
