Morrissey singing Last of the International Playboys on Top of the Pops in 1989 with Andy Rourke, Mike Joyce and Craig Gannon.
A classic from altered image's 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Better than the rubbish of today 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
"How I didn't wish I was not here". Brilliant.
used to repeat this video❤️
Saw this band support Blur in Cambridge about 1995. Didn't like Blur. Went along to see the Parachute Men who were great.
Best version of this ever! I can imagine if a band like My Bloody Valentine got into English folk they would sound rather like this.
2024, Tokyo 🤍💛💙
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I found this group mentioned in one of my favorite 80's comics. "Hellblazer" 😎
timeless scintillating guitar pop
I`m not from Leeds and I don´t support Leeds Utd but i support the parachute men.
I want to be in 1989, watching this band live at the cockpit
One of Morrissey's greatest songs ever! Who needs Johnny Marr?
He sings so cool... So pleasing to watch & hear...
If only more bands were this creative
Perfection= morrissey, even now the man is still top class
Yahuwah I'm sorry I'm Yahushuah Hamaschiach's name I plead the blood on myself

Yahuwah I'm sorry I'm Yahushuah Hamaschiach's name I plead the blood on myself
What a gem!
No idea why this isn't on their Spotify page given it's their best song
Lost and found
only one missing is johnny!
Get this gear on Spotify
Wow. Amazing to see The Smiths minus Johnny Marr performing.
Such a great song but you can tell the brains and complexity of it is gone without marr
Why isn't this on Spotify? It's lush!!!
Should be our national anthem 😉😉
My favorite Moz song ever , when it came out i couldn't get enough of it, same for Viva Hate ,it still had some Smith quality way before his adventures in rockabilly ballads and being lost in a Brit Pop world
Artists evolve. They can't keep doing the same thing forever. Moz still does wonderful music
Wow, I never knew they were on this programme. And all of the band gets to answer question.
this is so cool on so many levels
i Beatles
Gannon is so wonderful ♥️
dont give him too much credit
Frasier Crane do you know my name?
I was surprised to see how many ex smiths in this!
O último playboys internacional
F£ck the Guardian!
Morrissey wearing a suit. Classic big 80s style. Monster quiff. Loved it then. An epic song. Sundays in the 80s were this. Simon Mayo says at the end it will go to no.1 (cut from this edit ). Shame he was wrong.
Welp. Those are some of his classic and timeless Morrissey dance moves that he'll occasionally pull off nowadays. Instead of his famous shaking of the ass during The Smith's era.
I've just covered this song for the 30 Day Song Challenge. Moz is one of my lifetime heroes! Note: Morrissey and Rick Astley were both performing on this same episode of Top Of The Pops, and they met each other in the backblocks afterwards. They got on well, and someone took a photo of both of them smiling for the camera and in 2014, Morrissey used the photo for the re-issue of this song because a photo of him with David Bowie got rejected by Bowie. I shit you not. If you want to hear my version of this song, check it out here at: ua-cam.com/video/qwuuWqRD1tU/v-deo.html
I remember when I first found out about this I must have been 15 or something and I was so obsessed with this band and how obscure they were. I wanted to know so much more about them but I just couldn't find anything! A few years later I bought their album compilation " I Forgot to Remember to Forget" and I have it ever since. It's my own little treasure.
I love them ! Never found another band like them. Perfect music !!!
Are you me!?
@@JohnHillEU haha I guess there are other people out there who were just as obsessed with this band as I was as a teen!
1:51 super amazing one of the best guitar sounds any band like them playing around?
Beautiful kookie performance....
is it normal to cry every time you watch this?
Yes kat 100%
Absolutamente
very great indie band
This is gotta be the dopest solo performance ever. It looks so easy, but we all know if you tried it you’d look lame as fuck. Morrissey walks that slippery slope of lame/badass like a champ.
He was wearing The Smiths shirt..the love was not over yet
i’m sure he’s proud of the work he produced on the smiths
like some elves hopping round the green pasture, pop sound English extraordinaire
The smiths without marr.
One of the best pop songs ever
