ma'am please we need the printables for the t114 u're the queen of designer 😊
Which one do you need? The T114 Slim Pro is already on Printables, and the Slim will be soon. I want to make a video for the Pocket version and then I will post it there as well!
Thanks for the Holder Print File, I'll print one in preparation for my T1000e arrival in the next few days 👍
Dude, that's one long pinky nail...
It's the only one that doesn't break super easy!
Maybe some heat would have made a difference :)
Oh yeah, I'm certain it would have! Unfortunately I'm not in my usual workspace and don't have as many tools accessible at the moment!
Seen your files everywhere, so glad I found your UA-cam and discord! These are great! Hoping for a more universal drone backpack. I myself have a DJI Mavic 3 Classic so this won’t work for me.
I think I will make a more universal one soon!
Awesome video. The case looks really nice! Also, the quality of the T1000-E looks really good, haha.
I definitely wouldn’t worry about it falling apart! 😅
@@randomalleycat haha
How high have you gone with it?
I actually only flew it as high as you see in the video. It was really windy that day so I couldn’t go very far and as soon as the video was done I took it apart for other projects! I designed for someone else, but I’ll keep it around for emergencies. Maybe later I’ll have it in a video I do out in the wild and I’ll test it fully. Maybe a stealth camping in the mountains video? 😁
I appreciate the bit-tastic music
Very well made❤
Love the tear-down and especially holster! Also, 4:51 NRF52840 doesn't do WIFI.
Oh! Thanks for the correction! I must have mixed it up when I was looking at the 1110 because it can do WiFi scanning. That’s what happens when I rush it!
Got to love those smart designs
Love the holster design. Good stuff as always.
Thanks! I just wish there were someone making videos showing this stuff being used in the real world! 🤔
We need one more heltec v3 case! Minimalistic, sma antenna and no battery space. I use usb powerbank to my heltec v3.
Still love the wee cat logo
From Alleycat to Alleycat, it's a very nice video. I've seen the meshtastic all over European channels. Has it taken off very much in the states yet? Ty for sharing your experience 🤞
It is very popular in the US. I'm in Iceland right now though, and it's not so much here.
@randomalleycat Iceland, yikes. Stay warm. I really wasn't interested in mesh just because of everyone seeing the messages but since that's been resolved I'm very interested. Tyvm for replying and again stay warm and toasty ✌️
@@undernature2799 I think the best bet for privacy is to create a private mesh on a different channel and keep it encrypted. Yeah, you don't get the benefit of using other people's repeaters, but I mainly plan to use it for discrete comms with my party, so I don't really want to use public nodes anyway.
@@randomalleycat I like it. That's exactly what I'll do. Can't thank you enough for the advice it's very much appreciated. Hopefully it won't be very hard to do lol but I'll manage 😁 maybe
@@undernature2799 If you need help there are some good people in my Discord who have a lot of knowledge on the subject!
Meow!
About that job offer from iFixit for a non destructive repair tech...
Same compute module like uconsole?! CM4?! wow.
This is just sad TBH.
This 4K video looks amazing on 4K display. Simply superb.
I'm more of a GoPro guy but DJI really grabbed my attention with their handheld cameras, specially the OSMO Action Pro looks really promising.
I just got the Osmo Action 5 Pro and I love it. I will be making a video scuba diving with it in the next few months.
1:36 The top portion of the case is a major turn off. They must come up with a better solution for antenna. Having a cutout only to have antenna cable sticking out is NOT a good design.
I agree, it’s also still hiding in a little aluminum alcove which certainly affects the signal.
@@randomalleycat I believe the way Apple resolved their wifi issue within the aluminum case on iphone, could have been applied here as well. Also I think there could have been another battery added on the case as there are plenty of space at the bottom. This could have extended the usable time. Overall, this is a fantastic idea which definitely requires little extra work and then it could have been "perfect". I will be waiting to see if they come up with newer edition of this console. Thank you.
I've seen some people mod it with a lipo, but I think they could have made it take 2x21700 batteries and then you could have 10,000mAh. The way the back of the case is designed just makes it feel like there was a lot of redesign to fit things that weren't intended initially.
Hello Alley Cat. Your case designs are brilliant. Do you have a link for the little wrench you use at 2:25 ? Thanks.
Here is the one in the video: a.co/d/4l6wTz1 But they have a wrench version which is better for this stuff, I just couldn't find it at the moment: a.co/d/cKzKE0d They also have a set with both and a pouch that's good for EDC: a.co/d/3agEwoN
@@randomalleycat Thanks! 🙏
Hey, thank for the model. One improvement I would suggest is adding slot for an on/off switch.
Definitely a good idea! Just need to see if I can find space for it!
@@randomalleycat I’ve researched more and seems like pressing the user button for 5 seconds turns off the Heltec, so switch might not be needed. So far I’ve added physical switch between battery and terminal for every v3 I’ve own. Again, very nice design, thank you for it.
@@Burn0u7 I agree, I don't think it's "required", but it's always good to have options!
Here I go!
nice
This is the most well thought out/best case for the t-beam by far. Tried others, none come close. Fits like a glove, can be easily accessorized and remixed. Keep up the great work.
Thank you! More coming soon!
Anyone remember The WOOZ? Wish I could see that one more time.
So what recreation do kids have today? Waterparks were absolute staples of cities and the ones remaining suck.
I've honestly never been to the one in Roseville, but it looks nice from the freeway. Supposedly they are starting to rebuild this one though.
Sunsplash Roseville has the feeling of an overgrown mini golf. Not a very large property and on a busy day, it’s just lines everywhere. No options!
@@AlexanderDavis-l3l Well that sucks. Hopefully this one turns out well when they rebuild it.
it's possible to add a GPS module directly in the space that is available? Perhaps using an SMD module?
Perfect!! I like the strap slots. I know what I'm printing after work. Soooo much easier than other cases. I like the tripod 👌
Nice soldering iron -- I need to get one of those. And great video! I'm expecting my T-Deck board, case and battery next week and putting it together. I didn't get a GPS chip but watching this I'm thinking about it....
Great design, and thanks for sharing. Where did you get the right angle antenna connector? Mine is straight that doesn't fit with the 3000mah battery.
There's a link to it on the Printables page, but you can use the 2000mAh with the straight connector.
I really love these cases, sadly I would need a mix of the HT Slim and the HT Slim Pro, because I have the small antenna but a 3000mAh MakerFocus Battery. Now I think I have to design my own case, but I still love yours and would absolutely use one of your designs if there would be one suitable for me
You want a Slim with the 3000mah?
@@randomalleycat Yes, with the small antenna from the Slim but a big battery like in the Slim Pro
Please make a case for 19003, screen, and gps. Like the Wis Pocket but smaller.
I do have a case that replaces the WisMesh Pocket case called MeshPack, and I plan to make a smaller version. If you join my Discord, you can help with development and testing.
This is the first thing I printer on my new X1C after a benchy, and the fit was 100% Really great case. The GPS antenna I chose was a bit big, but I found a solution, as I was using the deep case back anyway.
Came here after printing your T-deck case. and this looks brilliant. Very well thought out.
Hi very nice design. I installed buzzer and vibra and configured it in notification...but during reboot, there is no test. how can I test them?? (Have no 2nd client yet)
I asked the devs to make a button in the phone app for testing, I think that would be super helpful! Hopefully they can add something like that soon.
@@randomalleycat thx. You did directly or in github??...was browsing issues and have not seen it (,want to like it) 👍🏼
@@martingerhardsoos Not on Github, just directly but there is a lot of function stuff they are dealing with, so it doesn't seem like a priority. If you want to put it on Github though, go for it!
any chance you could get me a link to that battery?
Check the Printables link in the description, that has all the instructions and links to parts.
@@randomalleycat Thank you very much for your quick reply. I see it. I LOVE this case.
I like your 3D printed cases I printed one in colour change triple colour 👍
Israel has entered the chat. 🇮🇱💥💣
which battery is that? I can't find the right JST plug
Check the Printables page linked in the description, there is a link to the batteries I used. Technically it's not a JST connector because the 1.25 pitch JST connectors have a latch, it's actually a generic connector based on the Molex PicoBlade. We all just call it JST because that's the most common brand of these style connectors.
What antennas are those ?
If you check the Printables link in the description, there are direct links to the antennas.
Got it . What would you recommend ?
I like the RAK antenna, but if you don’t have one sitting around already, usually you get the heat shrink coil antenna in the kit with a Heltec unless you got the SMA. Of course you could always use the SMA version or the case! Unfortunately I don’t have the equipment or expertise to do a legitimate comparison test, but I think it’s better to just go with what you have or is easiest to acquire in this situation.
In the summer of 1982, the ad agency I recently joined (Clark & Associates) was tasked to save the fledgling Waterworld at Cal Expo. The TV commercials I produced, directed, and edited energized the people of Sacramento, Stockton, and Modesto, making the park a success. The excellent cameraman was Steve Lombardi from KXTL TV40. I edited the spots off-line in my office on a JVC 3/4" video system, and then finished the spots at TV40's online video editing suite.
Thank You! use to work here 1985-1988
Awesome! Must be interesting to see what’s changed but also a few things are still there.
Excellent 3D Builds, best I’ve seen and just what I’ve been looking for. Do you have a 3D Case with a Belt Clip that would fit the Heltec Wireless Tracker
@@SpookieNZL Thanks! I can look into making a clip for the tracker.
It'll fit in a map pocket, it's still pocket friendly!
