Thank you for this info! I just bought a small ball python and didn't realize how underweight he was until I compared with my other python. Ridge for a back bone, dehydrated skin appearance... I thought the stomach sinking inwards was a "don't touch me there" kinda thing like him pulling away, but now...? He's been upped from hoppers to adult mice and will likely get very consisted meals. Dude, I'm sure you've learned plenty from the other comments, but I can hear the squealing from your feeder supply. That's too close to your snakes. They can smell them all day and all night. You're snakes are in perpetual feeding mode. Never hesitate when going in. Get after it with one smooth motion and take the bite LIKE A MAN if it comes. Don't yank your hand out of its mouth, as the damage is already done. No need to pull your snake's teeth out. After two rats it's probably still in feeding mode. Always wait at least 48 hours after a feeding to handle your animal. Good grief bro. What some videos ffs.

4 yrs later. The price is up to 3.50 per med rat on rodent pro. SMFH. The med are definitely on the smaller side as well. It's at the beginning stages of being a med. I never had a problem with sizes from rodent pro. Now that prices are ridiculously high. And my snakes are bigger. im starting to 😢 😭 a little. Lol.

You can make this process a lot faster by planning your pos hets around what’s available for genetic testing. For example if I produce Clown Pied pos het Hypo and Hypo Pied pos het Clown I’m better sticking with the POS get Clown versions currently because I can send their shed in and prove if it’s het Clown which saves so much time and allows you to put your males to the right females.

It's tongue is moving so it as at least alive my ball python never sticks out tongue n has no movement or reaction to tap on head or body after washing it the way someone at a pet store told me to so can the ball python be survived?

Why on earth are you trying to make so many triple hets? Build yourself two double-recessive projects (I’d recommend clown pied and clown ultramel, both with Enchi). Aim for a Super Enchi Clown Pied and a Super Enchi Ultramel Clown. Breed those two together, and you have Super Enchi Clown double hets. That’s a 1:16 odds, as opposed to 1:256 that would take you on average 32 clutches to even realistically have a shot.

Use a snake hook take her out of her encloser if that’s where you feed her and put the snake somewhere else so she knows it’s not feeding time
