@@ratteshop9622 thank you i am working on lucas sr magnetos this week , re winding them all kaput on secondary side of coils . you can re use the primary coil if you very carefully remove the secondary with very sharp wood chisel and you will come upon a black layer that seperates both , then under this lies the primary coil , re make the soldered connetion , insulate and wind the secondary 10,000 turns of 3 thou wire interleaved with 1 thou paper every layer and kapton every 5 layers works well ,heat to 130 c dip in polyimide varnish in a vessel and apply vaccuum to suck air out and varnish will invade well into voids , remove and bake for 4hrs at 130 c re make ht button connection to locate in line with marks you make on side plates before cutting back , cut down iabout the 1 cyl variant armature is different from the multi cyl variant eg sr4 , the magnets are assymetrical for the sr1 and symetrical for the sr4 i think you have an execelent idea i can re magnetize the originals however and configure as wasted spark for twins and v twins i have yet to see the rare sr 1 adapted for racing with manual advance / retard

Dear @@eweunkettles8207 　You surround an SR magneto secondary coil, and the shin will be splendid by rectification from now on. Are you an expert of the magneto? You have a good technique about coil roll rectification. It is revealed by the explanation of your repair procedure. As for the SR1 rotor, in pole shoe, it which is assymetrical is designed to the form of the laminating stator as you say. A laminating stator and a rotor of SR2 and SR4 are symetrical. If the timing when a line of magnetic induction is cut matches generation, the SR1 rotor may be usable. I did not try it. However, I think that it is possible if I design the symetrical pole shoe rotor newly. I have a junk of SR2, but cannot reproduce without enough parts. It is necessary for a spindle and the rotor body to design it. I want to do the experiment if I have a budget. I think that everybody of I am saved if many motors and motorcycles have a usable rotor. It is necessary for the original rotor to completely remove magnetism on magnetizing it again. The magnet has very difficult balance. I can commercialize only SR1 rotor concerning a budget. I want to exchange opinions with you from now on. I have not understood a magneto deeply yet.

@@ratteshop9622 the sr magneto was introduced as a modular" fit most applications universal magneto " the coil is stationary not whizzing around as in the older designs , this is a great advantage , the coils are all around 50 years old and the soldered ht to lt connection always deteriorates till no continuity from lt to ht can be read , idealy should be 4 >5 k ohms it may still spark but will fail in service due to arcing inside the winding the primary side very rarely ever goes wrong and can be re used if carefully exposed , cut down the sides of the plastic side plates wit a junior hacksaw , hold lamination tight in vise , dont let it move and break plastic side plates , use a very sharp wood chisel and carefully peel layers of windings back , you will see a thick black insulation this covers the lt winding , proceed very carefully removing this an try not to dig in to the winding , re make lt to ht connection through the small eyelit on rhs , use a transition wire say around 10 thouh re do insulation with f glass 2 layers and 1 kapton or similar wind the few turns of transition wire with the 3 thou secondary now soldered to it leave a slight loop so if cable pulled it can move an not snap the wire i have tried very fine 2 thou wire but it makes the resistance very high 3 is ideal , inter leave with fine tissue paper every layer and progressively wind the coil narrower with each layer , you can use kapton or similar every few thousand turns additionaly to help insulation some winders wind the coils dry and just dip in an air drying varnish i bake and dip under a vacuum to get the polyimide resin deep into the coil i use enamelled wire with 200c heat tolerance ,when coil comes out oven i position ht button i check ohms then bind tightly with f glass tape and polyester resin

LUCAS SR1 can be attachable to BULLET350cc/500cc of 1956ー 2001year. BULLET２００２ー ２００８with needs PAV cancellation processing.　 LUCAS originally gives the SR1 magneto as BULLETG2 genuine parts of 1956.

sr1 magneto is very reliable and can be configured as a distributor / battery coil unit in an emergency

@@ratteshop9622 the SR magneto was a universal modular magneto in 1,2 ,and 4 cyl configurations LUCAS also made a race SR1 with manual advance retard but it is very rare

Dear Upkar Unfortunately I do not sell SR1 magneto.　However, I selling to newly-designed SR1 rotor . I performed a reproduction of SR1 rotor. Never demagnetization in heat resistance temperature 300 degrees . Is powerful by strong magnetic force; and spark. Solved a past problem; newly-designed. The SR1 magneto is usable in BULLET of the production in 1985. You can attach BULLET no need of the processing for 1957 through 1998. And need processing 2001~2009 Bullet A common screw BSW1/4-20TPI and hole fit RE distributor and SR1 magneto Casing. A problem is acquisition of the auto advance. Modify did automatic advance of Norton to gear T40 for RE . Thank you

@@vedshukla193 Hi Sir　There are some causes that are poor at the ignition. If the condenser is old, spark is weak or does not spark. Please confirm a condenser.　mean０．１８ー０．２５MFD You clean the contact point, and please adjust a gap.　Gap ０．３５ｍｍー０．４ｍｍ Normal Bullet, please check the battery which is the battery-coil ignition in a tester. It is necessary to review re-, magnetizing it and the setting of the rotor if you use a LUCAS MAGNETO SR1.

ユニオンテック 様見て頂きますありがとうございます。 大分時が流れ動くかと試しましたがやはり動きが鈍くシリコンスプレーして辛うじて動く有り様です。もっと軽快に動く所を映すべきでした。 たまたまユニオンテック様の魚雷をみて驚きまた嬉しくも思いました。 連結部はプラスチック部分の所をヤスリで少しずつ削りモーターケースの内径に合せれば比較的容易に合わせられます。意外にセンターは出しやすいです。是非試して見て下さい。 他にまた面白い物有りましたらアップして行きたいと思います。 私はユニオンテック様と違い電気に疎く面白い物を作る方と尊敬の眼差しで見ております。
