Thanks for watching!
New Channel name......" Great Dogs & 1 Crappy Gun Adventures" .....😅😅😅
I know exactly where that place is at, was planning to go hunt waterfowl there soon
there is something spiritual with the sound of pheasant wings flushing in the silence of nature. it is even better when it is followed by bang-bang!
Haha, that is a tough sound to beat. Thanks for watching!
Just think if you had a real gun, you could have had a triple.....😂😂
Nice to see Klaus's son hunting!
Yup, he is coming right along. I think he will be a good one.
What application do you used to edit videos?
What application do you used to edit videos?
I use iMovie. Thanks for watching!
I live in Italy and I hunt pheasants but they are very few in two months I only found and took only 4 specimens to see ten flying together in a meadow with us is a dream in fact we have permission for 2 per day and 20 for 4 months of hunting
That sounds like tough hunting. Thanks for watching!
Good hunt 🙂
Iowa pheasant population looks higher than predicted. Sure was good hunting where you were!
Yes, there were a lot of birds around. It was super dry which made it a little tough to get good dog work, but it was a good trip.
Nice video! Did that guy shoot that bird running on the ground at 9:56?
Yes, the dog was a long way away from the bird but it does have a way of making a guy a bit uncomfortable. Thanks for watching!
Nice shot!!
Thanks!
I wonder what chokes you use on your double barrel and what size # shots ?
I’m using improved cylinder and modified with 6 shot.
@@cjroutdoors4138 Thank you

You won't need to pluck that pheasant now 😂
One thing I really enjoy about your videos is it’s no nonsense get after them style 👍
Thanks for watching!
And if he was shooting a real weapon it would be academy award winning material. 😆
Very nice dog work.
Thanks!
😢
What kennel did nix come out of?
Nyx is out of grouse point kennels in rice lake Wisconsin.
Nice video....great dog work....appreciate the consistency of having the dog retrieve to hand and not release the bird until given the command....consistent expectations....makes for great gun dogs
Thanks for watching!
Are you running???
That deer shed earned a thumbs up on this vid
I wouldn’t be mad if I found more of those.
what county were you in? South Dakota does have a good walk in program..
The germanpointer jumping was precious 😂
Hopefully you are watching your daily bag limits.

Great shot man!!!

Light bulb started turning on at the end for old Cash..
Oh yeah, I think he will be a good one.
Klaus boy!!
Great video just got back from Huron South Dakota and had a hoot. Keep up the great content.
Glad to hear you had a good hunt. Thanks for watching!
9:40, ring its neck before you put it in the game pouch man.
Used to hunt near Kennebec with my Griff. Great times out there.
Thanks for watching!
Did your friend even get a shot? Lol
He did shoot a few times but missed. I decided to edit those out.
Larry Mueller famously said: “ ALWAYS Trust Your Bird Dog 🐶 ! “
Yes, they have a good way of humbling a guy. Thanks for watching!
How come your buddy has a real gun, and you have a junk double, still? 🤔🤣
Damn man mommy let you have the computer again? Go cry somewhere else.
Great hunt, fun watching the dogs work. Nice work on those cripples. I live in SW TN and have a 10mo old that we are doing some preserve hunts for experience this year. Hope to make a trip to SD next year, just solo public land hunt. Any tips would be appreciated as we have not been there before.
As a sd resident I would recommend good cover along fields with fresh cut crops preferably corn. Later in the season with snow I would stick to more cattails as they use it for protection from the elements. I would do some research for public lands. Maybe come a day early and do some scouting for fields that would be worth walking.
What time of the year do you plan to come hunt?
@@cjroutdoors4138 Undecided at this point but probably late October-mid November.
You are hunting my dream hunt. Well done my friend. Dog are well mannered.
Thanks for watching!
Great hunt! Ready to hit Iowa soon. Klaus looks like he is getting alitte white in the face. Still a hell of a dog!
Klaus is 7.5 now. He’s not a young pup anymore. Thanks for watching!
Best of luck in Iowa. I will be down there for the opener.
Nice!! I'm glad you're back. What beautiful weather. Get it while you can
The weather was very nice. Thanks for watching!

How did Nix's UT test go?
201 prize 1. Planning on having a litter out of her this spring.
@@cjroutdoors4138 Nice, now you can quit the BS of trying to shoot birds and operate an e-collar at the same time. 👍😄
Awesome, might be getting a puppy soon
Lab and Mt dog plus border Collie
Thanks for watching! Are you looking to get a bird dog? I’m planning on having a litter out of Nyx this spring.
Hell yeah!
